The pod is in a fantastic location.
Beautiful sunset every evening! Was lovely and warm coming in from a chilly evening/ day out. The bed was amazingly comfortable and we slept well. My only few points is that there is no oven and the 2 hobs available are tiny and it was a struggle to cook. There was no clear warning on the website that I could see that tells you there is no oven.Could definitely do with an air fryer. The ice box in the fridge needs defrosting and someone had left behind their ice packs and a food bag of cubes. While my friend was in the shower I could see her clearly so not much privacy behind the “privacy screen” . Also I would recommend hiring a cleaner rather then doing it yourselves as there was a few nit picky things I noticed with dust and limescale and mould build up in the wet room, toothbrush holder was covered in toothpaste. We found a garlic crush that was dirty in the drawer. Fly poop on the television, in the bedroom the tv did not have any signal and the Wi-Fi was very poor so could not connect my phone to the Netflix. This is not a big deal as I’ve stayed places that are off grid before, but if you are providing this, it should work smoothly. When you have the word luxury in your name one would expect so. I also live on a farm so I know life gets busy, so possibly a cleaner to do deep cleans would be good! But as I say the location is fantastic for a weekend away and escape the real world for a while! Would happily come back for a short stay if all this was amended. X
Love this place Me and boyfriend have been here for the 3 time this year and we love the view setting and both and tom are lovely people too to help with everything.
Hot tub amazing and just so peaceful and quiet
This is a lovely, well-designed pod, in a great location.
The position of the pod is perfect for the gorgeous view overlooking the pretty village below. The pod has everything you need, but it is compact, so accommodating four would be a squeeze in terms of where you put your belongings/suitcase etc. We used the bunk beds for this! The big picture windows are perfect for the view in the morning, which you can see from your bed. The bedroom, has a lightweight privacy curtain, but other than that, this is not the place for you if you like every window covered at night. But it's extremely private, with the only passing traffic being the odd sheep munching in the field. It's very tranquil and quiet, with hardly a vehicle on the access road nearby. We stayed during very hot weather, which meant the pod acts like a greenhouse as the sun moves around to the front during the day. There's little relief and shade, and despite the provision of a (quite unstable) parasol, it was very hot sitting on the patio in the afternoon. It was still very hot in the pod, despite a fan being provided. There is a window in the bedroom we opened at night for air. Note, there's no oven in the pod, just hob and m'wave. Although there is a pizza oven and BBQ outside, which we didn't use. The noise from the hot tub reheating occasionally disturbed us at night sometimes, as it's right outside the bedroom window. The mattress is very soft, which isn't my preference, but we slept well anyway. The fridge is large, but just a small ice box freezer. The shower is great.
