What a beautiful place!

Host extremely nice, replies to any messages were timely. And place was absolutely lovely. Views anre outstanding and location is perfect. Easy to explore Wales, but also perfect if you want quiet day in.

I really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the property and being a lone traveller appreciated the family being next door, their welcome and friendliness and the general activity of the working farm.

The holiday cottage was comfortable and roomy, with wonderful views. The only downside was the slighlty damp smell in the bedroom and bathroom.

We enjoyed the views and watching the animals and found great places to walk with mountains, waterfalls and lakes nearby, not to mention a trip to the seaside at Barmouth. A great place to stay!

It is a large and comfortable annex attached to the main farmhouse with plenty of car parking space.

All the family who live and work at the property are very friendly and helpful and my husband and I (who are visiting from Australia) would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Had a wonderful stay in a well appointed upside down cottage on a working farm.

Had everything you could possibly need including cats to cuddle! Very friendly and approachable hosts. Perfect as a base to view the glorious sites of North Wales. Unfortunately we didn't have the weather on our side but we had a lovely break anyway

Wow wow, what a beautiful place, in the most amazing countryside and hosted by a lovely family, Rhian, Bryn and family, they were so friendly and very helpful and they provided, myself and my mum, with everything we needed, the complimentary Welsh cakes, were a lovely touch also.

We had the most wonderful stay at Peniarth.

It is so comfortable and homely. The Williams family are fantastic hosts and made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed every day we were there and we were sad to leave.

Had a wonderful time and loved every second of it and will deffo be returning the place was clean and well presented and the hosts were really welcoming and their cats too and the wildlife birds sheep and cows are so lovely peace and quite will definitely be returning

Hosts are very welcoming and would definantly recommend to someone looking for peaceful accommodation. Good access to mountain bike trails and right on-top of Revolution Bike Park. Would love to stay again.

A wonderfully quiet place to spend at least a week exploring North and Central Wales.

Nice and welcoming owners on a working farm in a tiny village surrounded on all sides by hills. During the day some disturbance by motorbikers testing their skills on the narrow and winding country lanes, but at night an absolutely quiet paradise. Lots of animals (chickens, cats, pheasants, birds), all of which are amazingly tame and trusting. If you sit out in the resting area around midnight to do all the stargazing you can't in a city/urban area, one of the cats will find you within minutes and demand cuddling.

The host was really helpful and friendly. The little one really enjoyed playing with the cat and the chicken. Would love to come back.

We had a fabulous holiday.

The accommodation was excellent. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was lambing time - such a joy to watch the newly born lams frolicking in the field.

Pleasant, well presented cottage with lots of space for two in lovely area on working farm (cattle/sheep). Host Riahn and family very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Access to accommodation through farm yard but not a problem - plenty of parking space. Well located for exploring the area. A very peaceful, quiet spot with lovely views. A very short drive or 9/10 minute walk to Penybontfawr village, but no footpath for most of the walk and little grass verge in places. Small but well stocked shop in village. Village pub, The Station Inn, good pub food and very welcoming landlord/lady.

Sykes did what I would expect - no more, no less.

The cottage was superb and Rhian is the perfect host. It has everything you need and the location is perfect with great views from the cottage and the outdoor seating area. Slight mark down on comfort only because we would prefer a bigger bed but, other than that, ideal.

We really enjoyed our holiday and found the accommodation very comfortable and well placed for all we wanted to do.

The owners were very helpful and friendly throughout and we would certainly recommend their holiday let.

Lovely and peaceful farm set on the hillside above the village with ideal views down the valley. Friendly and helpful owners... will definitely like to stay again just so we can try the home-made pies on offer.

Great cottage for 2, off the beaten track, very quiet, lots of walks and cycling from the door, lovely friendly hosts even offered to pick us up from the local pub in the evening!

Hosts met us on arrival and were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. Basket in bathroom with bubble bath and extra towels etc was a welcome addition as were the welsh cakes. Good location for walking and close to plenty of attractions.

I was quite concerned about staying in any cottage in light of the current situation with Covid.

But as soon as I spoke to the owner and stepped into the cottage I was happy. The house was spotless, sofas and especially the bed very comfortable. Clean crockery and cutlery. Nothing looked like it had been there for years (except the beautiful antique Welsh Dresser!) or bought from a second hand shop, it was obvious the owner had gone out of her way to make the cottage look good. We would definitely recommend.

Great holiday, unfortunately another couple arrived 2hrs after us to discover it was double booked by another website but that was not the fault of the owner or Sykes.

Apart from that it was perfect from start to finish

There was a much appreciated welcome tray when we arrived withtea/coffe, milk &some wonderful welsh cakes.

The cottage was very well stocked with everything we needed & the owners, who lived next door were very nice & helpful. The views were breathtaking & also the abundance of wildlife we saw from the window. We will definitely return there & I would recommend it to anyone who wants a “quiet get away from it” break.

We had a wonderful two weeks in Peniarth Isaac.

The location was wonderful close to Snowdonia National Park and surrounded by stunning welsh mountains. This is an ideal spot from which to explore North Wales. The cottage was very cosy and comfortable, with every thing we needed. The owners are really lovely and made us feel very welcome.. We can’t wait to return, didn’t want to go home!

This is a very nice, pleasant part of the UK.

lovely for walking, a good central location for touring. A good selection of places and things to do. ample eating out locations.

A well equiped and comfortable annexe to the main farm house that provides an ideal retreat for exploring the area.

There is plenty of good walking country and attractive landscape. The steep driveway into the farmyard, from the main road, could be daunting for nervous drivers, but there is ample turning space in the farmyard, and parking adjacent to the holiday cottage. Wifi surprising good for such a rural area. The farm owners were welcoming and promptly dealt with all questions, etc. A most enjoyable stay.

Working farm with very friendly owners, any problems were immediately sorted.

Lots of wildlife straight out of the windows. Excellent location for what we wanted to do. Very good walking area set in friendly village with good pub food. Lots to do in the area with National Trust properties of Chirk and Powis Castles near by as is Erddig House. A good day out can also be spent in Llangollen.

The only reason for not wanting to re-book is we have other areas to holiday not in North Wales
