We enjoyed our time here especially your warm and welcoming presence. It was a great pleasant stay for us, a peaceful and beautiful scenery as well as having a nice view of the farms and hills around us, a great break from technology. And thank you for the duck eggs, they were delicious. Places to Visit: “We are going to Llyn Vyrnwy, hopefully a beautiful place to visit. Llanwddyn 6.2 miles.

Bryn Y Garreg – The Wireless Free Farm (No Tech!), set in the peaceful village of Llangadfan near Llanwddyn in Powys, provides an inviting rural escape with countryside views, a seasonal swimming pool and a warming woodburning stove, creating a restful base for families and friends wishing to spend unhurried time together.

Approaching the side door, the gentle quiet of the surroundings immediately eases you into the stay, and once inside you pause to remove coats and shoes before following a short set of steps into the farmstyle kitchen, a welcoming space that suits slow mornings and shared cooking.

The dining room offers a lovely setting to gather, its rustic stone walls and large windows framing the pool and open landscapes in a way that encourages relaxed meals and calm evenings.

The sitting room follows with an impressive inglenook fireplace, a rustic wooden wall and a woodburning stove that draws everyone together on cooler days; a TV and a thoughtful choice of books and games make this an easy place to unwind, while the view of the pool outside creates a pleasant link with the garden.

Before reaching the bedrooms, a hallway with a high vaulted ceiling and a turning staircase leads you towards the upper floor, where the king size room overlooks the stables and grazing sheep for a soothing start to each day, its en suite offering privacy and comfort.

The family room looks out across uninterrupted countryside, while the twin room offers a peaceful option for younger guests or friends, all supported by a bathroom with both a bath and a walk in shower, along with a ground‑floor shower room that proves especially useful after walking the local trails or taking part in wellness activities connected to the farm.

Outside, a generous lawn stretches from the patio, and a covered barbecue area helps make outdoor dining enjoyable whatever the weather; the seasonal pool adds a refreshing touch in the warmer months, and the surrounding fields enhance the sense of gentle seclusion.

At Bryn Y Garreg Cottage, great care has been taken to create a calm, low‑impact environment for guests.

The interiors have been refreshed with 100% natural, VOC‑free paints, while the bedrooms feature solid wooden bed frames and quality foam mattresses selected to reduce metal components and encourage a restful, low‑EMF night’s sleep.

The cottage is maintained with ecologically responsible, essential oil–based cleaning products, and all bed linen and towels are laundered using unperfumed, environmentally friendly detergents.

Guests can also enjoy fresh, naturally sourced borehole water from the farm, all of which contributes to the gentle atmosphere that makes The Wireless-Free Farm such a unique place to stay.

The wider area offers memorable days out, whether wandering the woodland trails and shoreline of Lake Vyrnwy, discovering the celebrated terraced gardens and grand interiors of Powis Castle in Welshpool, or visiting Bala for lakeside strolls, local food spots and the lively feel of waterside activity.

With its blend of rural calm, traditional character and an atmosphere that encourages guests to switch off from daily distractions, Bryn Y Garreg – The Wireless Free Farm (No Tech!) offers a refreshing retreat in this scenic part of Mid Wales.
