Lodge at Nadur
Description
Lodge at Nadur sits quietly in the little hamlet of Commins Coch, offering a peaceful rural hideaway for couples who want to slow down, switch off, and enjoy the simple pleasures of Mid Wales.
This single-storey bolt hole has an easy, laid-back feel from the moment you step through the door, making it a great base whether you're here to relax or lace up your walking boots and head for the hills.
Inside, the open-plan living area keeps everything close at hand.
The kitchen has everything you need to put together hearty breakfasts or simple suppers, and the dining table is a good spot for chatting about the day ahead.
After exploring the local lanes and valleys, settle into the sitting area with the Smart TV or bring the evening outside to the enclosed gravelled terrace, where you can take in the peace and quiet with a drink in hand.
When it’s time to call it a night, the double bedroom offers a comfortable retreat and even includes its own TV, while the sleek shower room gives you a fresh start each morning.
The surrounding landscape is classic Mid Wales, rolling hills, wooded walks, and riverside paths, all easily reached from the cottage.
Machynlleth, with its independent shops and cafés, is close enough for everyday essentials, and the nearest pub offers a warm welcome after a day out.
If you're keen to explore further, Dolgellau brings riverside strolls and views that seem to go on forever, while Aberystwyth offers sandy beaches, a traditional promenade, and the charm of the cliff railway.
For those who enjoy dramatic scenery, Snowdonia National Park opens the door to impressive peaks, serene lakes, and countless outdoor adventures.
Whether you're wandering historic sites, birdwatching in quiet valleys, or simply appreciating the slower pace of rural life, this part of Wales never disappoints.
With its relaxed atmosphere and excellent location, Lodge at Nadur is a lovely choice for anyone seeking a restorative retreat in the heart of Powys.

What guests are saying
The lodge was beautiful.
Very clean and well equipped on arrival. The added little extras are a nice touch (milk crumpets and Welsh cakes) …. The area is very quiet exactly what we needed which a few towns a short drive away. The hot tub was great, I liked that it was covered so could still enjoy during the rain, it was lovely and clean and we had no problems with the water for the 4 nights we stayed. Would recommend and stay again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay
We loved the cottage.
Warm and cosy and an added bonus for my birthday was the hot tub. The owners left you too it and popped in to check the tub as we stayed a week. The reviews on the hot tub are harsh. You are sent an email to reply you dont mind them popping in at your convenience. You could call them earlier if needed as the numbers are provided. The whole experience was lovely and upon arrival bread milk and Welsh cakes ready for a nice cuppa. The bed was comfy too. Saw Robins blue tits black birds and red kites in this tucked away cottage. Also up the lane there is a mini shed with fresh honey, jams and eggs too. Thanks so much. Luv Julie Paul and Casper the dog. Xx
Lovely part of Wales always has been, miles away from everything which is great.
Hot tub was a disappointment only managed to get 2-3 days out of it before it went manky discoloured and left a film around the sides when using the jets even though we thoroughly cleaned ourselves in the shower prior, wouldn't come again sorry
