Ty Glas is a very comfortable home from home.

A great hot tub and a lovely sea view from the patio. Perfectly clean and well presented with lots of added extras in the kitchen and everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. It is ideally situated to explore the local area. A great coffee shop nearby too!

We had a short 3-night break for eldest son's 21st, plus daughter joined us from Cardiff Uni.

Kids loved the hot tub. All very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. Shame local shop was not open, hopefully it will be again at some point. We had an excellent meal at the Three Golden Cups, took the bus there and back, which worked well. Lovely walks along the beach with our dog.

We have just enjoyed our second break this year at Ty Glas.

Well what can I say. Beautifully clean comfortable home, AMAZING sea views and glorious weather. Totally chilled adults and a happy content young Labrador. Absolute Total Perfection in every way. A very big thankyou to the Sealands team and can’t wait to rebook for next year.

It is a fantastic holiday home. Every thing is catered for. The hot tub is an added bonus. We thoroughly recommend it for a great holiday and hope to revisit in the future

Ty Glas is a lovely clean comfortable house.

The garden is a lovely place to sit very quiet dog friendly and sea views. Ogmore by sea is a very friendly place to stay nice beaches and very friendly pubs would highly recommend.

We were blessed to have such good weather and enjoyed the wonderful sea views from the hot tub and cottage. Our dogs were settled immediately and loved being so close to the beach and coastal walks. We will definitely return to this special place xx

Ty Glas is the standard that other property managers should aspire to.

Everything was 5*, comfortable and quality furnishings. Good location for coastal path and beach. The village shop 5-10 mins away (down to the main road and turn left) had all the essentials and we enjoyed the Welsh Coffee Company for coffee and breakfast just across the from the shop in the Community Centre. Really enjoyed our stay thank you.

We've just spent 2 weeks in Ty Glas.

It was our first stay here and we loved it. The property was spotless and had everything we needed. A beautiful area. We walked the Wales Coast path from Swansea Marina to Barry Island (aprox 54 miles). All the walks were brilliant. There is a good bus service (303) which runs hourly until about 10.30pm. We used it to get to the Three Golden Cups pub in Southerndown. The bus stop is just over the road so was perfect. A fantastic holiday. I am sure we'll be back and more than happy to stay in Ty Glas when we return.

Ty Glas is an absolute gem of a find.

If was a perfect place to unwind. The views of the sea, especially in the evenings were amazing and the holiday brochure didn’t do it justice. As soon as you opened the front door and was greeted with a beautiful clean smell we knew we would be happy here. The neighbours are very friendly and gave us directions for the quick route to the coastal path and beach which took about 5 mins stroll. Coco our young Labrador loved the freedom of this walk and it tired her out nicely. The Home itself was equipped with everything you need, comfy beds and bedding, throws for the chairs, good quality equipment and a gorgeous welcome pack of Milk Hut milk, Fresh Welsh Cakes( not supermarket style) and a very tasty bottle of sparkling apple and pear drink. Coco also had a welcome box with Bonio’s gravy bones and toy. Would we come back? 100% Yes, in fact we’ve booked again for September.

We've had a wonderful week nice and relaxing the house was brilliant very clean and well looked after with everything we needed.

The hot tub was great and well used and with a lovely view. We didn't travel very far but had some great walks around the area and i'm sure Digby the dog would be back tomorrow if could. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The owners have thought of everything to make your holiday seamless. The hot tub is an added bonus and those sea views!! We loved our time in this house. We will definitely come back.

We loved it and so did our dog Rufus. Slight hiccup with the boiler not working so we had to delay our stay by one day but it was soon resolved. We were offered alternative accommodation but we wanted this house for the view. We didn't mind losing one day because we loved the house.

One of the nicest properties we have stayed in could not fault it 10/10 good communication with owners and spotlessly clean, would stay here every holiday the view was amazing.

Having stayed in several Sykes cottages, this was by far and away the best.

Ty Glas is well equipped, clean and comfortable.

We particularly enjoyed the view from the hot tub watching the sun set over the sea. Ogmore by sea is a lovely quiet relaxing spot with an excellent walk along the coast path to Southerndown. We also really enjoyed walking our dogs by the Ogmore river that flows into the estuary. We hope to return .

The house is just perfect, Seaview and being able to hear the sea from the hot tub is the perfect end to a busy day.

The house has everything you could need. Emma is just the friendliest of owners, she popped along to check the hot tub and she's just lovely. Really helpful guide book in the house helping you find places to eat and things to do locally. We will 100% be back as the house is a perfect location to go out and explore. Lovely neighbours also

Second time at this property.

Lively house so very clean and everything is there for your home from home stay. I do not have anything negative to say about Tŷ Glas. You are welcomed with a small bottle of fresh milk in the fridge in a reusable glass bottle, welsh cakes and a nice bottle of drink waiting for you in the kitchen. Beds made up and the most wonderful towels waiting for every person. Tea coffee and sugar all supplied. In the cupboards are an array of cupboard essentials. Treats, poop bags and towel, throws for the lounge. Games and books to use at your pleasure. Dog friendly places to eat close by and just a short drive away plenty more to find. The garden centre at Ewenny do a lively breakfast also dig friendly. No doubt I shall return for a 3rd time. You can not go wrong staying here. It is one of those places if the weather has a bad day you will be comfortable just staying in. Bonus is the hot tub if you are into that sort of thing.

The information book provided was really helpful and informative. We loved all the little extras provided, ie holiday address tags for the dogs, very thoughtful. There was nothing to not like and we will definitely return

Amazing stay!

Really nice home and felt very welcome. The neighbours next to this accommodation were lovely and super friendly. Will defiantly be back in the future.

We stayed with my two adult-sized children, my parents and my dog.

Even with full occupancy we had just enough room, although the beds were a little short for my son who is over 6 ft! The location is perfect - an enjoyable walk down to the beach, and plenty of dog walking opportunities. We found plenty of lovely places to eat within a short drive and I was perfectly located for catching up with family and old friends. I'm sure we could have made this a much more active and exciting holiday if we had wished, but we were here to see friends and relax. The kids enjoyed the hot tub, which was well maintained and deliciously warm. Overall a great stay. Thank you!

Good clear instructions for everything was helpful And local suggestions for walks/days out etc A friendly owner available near if needed We were very lucky with several days of sunshine

Emma the host was extremely helpful & friendly . Our dog Bryn thoroughly enjoyed his stay. Weather was on & off so I didn’t venture into the Lovely deep hot tub ,but my two sons did and loved it . Would highly recommend - wonderful place. Thank you

Our weather wasn’t the best and we were grateful that Ty Glas was so warm and cosy. Also very easy and well equipped for the dogs.

An excellent, comfortable base in this beautiful, quiet part of Wales. Emma and David were always quick to respond and rectify any issues that arose. I’m certain we will return again.

The property was superb with a beautiful view of the sea, well maintained and spotlessly clean.

Mention should be made of the three toilets in the property, the downstairs one in particular was most useful as one of our party had injured his foot.

It's a pity that the directions supplied by Sykes Cottages directed us to a property some miles away from the correct place

This was our second stay at Ty Glas and we loved it!

This time we had our 11 month old puppy with us and the house and garden were ideal for her. We were able to tuck her create into the kitchen broom cupboard so she could see what was going on but be snug at the same time. The garden was safe & secure for her and being able to walk to the beach in under 10 minutes was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the little extra touches for us and for Cleo

We had a wonderful week’s holiday, the cottage was lovely and the views from the back garden were amazing.

The only thing I would recommend is a place to dry your wet walking gear after a day out in the rain and mud.

We had a lovely week at ty glas, the hot tub was fantastic and had some lovely warm days in the garden the cottage was very clean and comfortable the only fault was the shower cubicle flooring in the en suite was very slippy we found that it could be quite dangerous and you had to grab onto the door handle to climb in and out

An absolute fantastic place.

It was extremely clean very homeley, comfortable and everything you need for the perfect home away from home. The beds are so comfortable and of the highest quality. The view from the back bedroom window is to die for. The towels were so thick and soft and of the best qualit. I can not say anything bad about the place. It was the best place I have ever stayed. Food bowls for the dog plenty of throws for the dog to sleep on, treats and poop bags. Every little thing thought about to make your holiday great. Close to pubs, shops and beaches. I would not hesitate in going again. Loved it.

A lovely place to stay, very well maintained, well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room with smart tv.

All bedrooms had very comfortable beds and great view over to the sea from the rear bedroom .lovely to have robes provided too The hot tub provides a luxurious end to a busy day out exploring the beautiful coastline . Very dog friendly home with pet blankets, dog treats and bowls It was a joy to stay here and definitely recommend It

Emma was a fantastic host, keeping us updated at every stage of our booking and even contacted us to say we could arrive early if we liked.

The house is lovely, clean and cared for with a welcome pack for both human and furry friends. The area is quiet and is a short walk to Ogmore beach, its a great base for exploring South Wales. Then obviously a great hot tub with stunning sea views to finish off any busy days. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone who ia thinking of booking. Thanks

The third bedroom is too small in my opinion to have a double bed .

It would be ok for a single bed which would allow space for some bedroom furniture . Otherwise the property was fine for us three adults.
