Hafan Y Gof was a lovely place to stay, it had almost everything you needed and it was very clean looking when we first got there.

Over the time of being there, i realised some things that need to be “changed” in a way. First of all, when we first arrived, i realised the curtains in the room with the tv were broken, you couldn’t raise them at all as the string that connected them was snapped. Not too much of an issue as you can pull the blinds off from the velcro to let light in, but it should be sorted. There were also stains all over the carpets upstairs. It would have of course been nicer if there was none, but it wasn’t that big an issue. Secondly, there was no pods provided for the dishwasher and there was no dish drainer for the dishes, so i couldn’t use the dishwasher for its purpose i had to use it as a dish drainer. So i believe with that it would be a good idea for the property to either provide pods for the dishwasher, or bring your own if you have one at home, but definitely, a dish drainer should be purchased for the property. Third of all, i found the washing machine to be quite small so i had to do a lot of washes, however, that wasn’t that big an issue. The issue was that the dryer was not working at all, it had a code that the water tank was full, but no water was in there. So we would start it and it would turn off almost immediately. We tried to contact someone to come fix it for us when we realised it wasn’t working, but it was almost IMPOSSIBLE to get through to someone, they would take ages to reply and the issue was never sorted. So currently the dryer still isn’t working as far as i know. I think it would be a good idea to provide a phone number or email for the property owner to contact them directly instead of struggling on phone calls and messages to sykes so that issues can be sorted out a lot quicker. Another thing was that a lot of the jets on the hot tub didn’t work at all, we turned them right and left, but some just never turned on. Don’t get me wrong it was lovely, and i loved it with or without the jets on, but just mentioning it for it to maybe get fixed if it can. I also feel like it would be a good idea to provide a lot more toilet paper than just 4 rolls, with 6 people staying for a week that is no where near enough, good thing we brought extra. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay for a week. As i said, they did have almost everything you need to live comfortably, and the house was really nice, but it can be even nicer with some small changes i mentioned. The area was beautiful, the walks were lovely, beaches were amazing, sites were gorgeous, especially the waterfalls. I cannot fault anything about the area, people were so lovely. It was an amazing holiday and i would stay again.

This is our second visit and we really enjoyed living in the property again for a few days. The house is in a good location with easy travel to the beach ( we went to Aberporth) or just a short walk to Cenarth Falls. We thoroughly enjoyed having the hot tub. Also the space outside was ideal for my grandson to play with his ball etc. All in all I am very happy to recommend this house as a place to stay for a pleasant holiday in Wales. Point of note:- My grandson who is 7 was playing on the playpark on Cenarth caravan park just across the road supervised by his Granny. There were only about 3 kids in total including my grandson. An official lady from the park said my grandson and his Granny had to leave as they had a complaint from someone saying it is a private park and they shouldn't be there. It was upsetting for my grandson but I recognise that the park were within their rights even if it was very mean spirited. Its just something for anybody else to be aware and no reflection on the owners of the house we were in. The pool at the park which we were officially allowed to use is a nice pool which my grandson and myself used . As non members It cost me £24 for a 2 hour session. Also be aware a refundable £10 cash deposit is required for a locker key.

Hafan Y Gof is the perfect place to stay.

The house is so comfortable, warm and so well equipped. This is definitely a 5 star rating from the Wallace family :-). When we arrived there was someone on site changing the hot tub filters but there was an issue with removing them, less than an hour later a second person arrived on site and resolved the issue, exceptional service to their guests, thank you so much. The house is in the perfect location, the holiday park across the road has an amazing restaurant to get food and the waterfall is less than a 10 minute walk, just perfect. It is so quiet and peaceful so you can really relax and enjoy the amazing garden. Also the garden is so secure if you have little people or dogs, it's just perfect. The layout of the house is perfect for spending time as a family, we had games nights at the kitchen table and cosy movie nights in the lovely sitting room. Kitchen is so well equipped, it literally has everything you could need. House is warm and cosy and loads of hot water available. This lovely couple have made an amazing job of their first holiday let, keep up the great work, its it outstanding.

Issues were experienced upon check-in and raised to owner immediately. Owner made it quite clear they didn't have time to resolve. Missing lightbulbs, broken blinds that could not be opened resulting in a permanently dark bedroom and games table that had missing parts rendering it obsolete. Advertised swimming pool access is extremely expensive. Driveway access is unfinished and needs careful negotiation to get several cars on and off without damage to cars (high kerbs and uneven surfaces). Property had large amounts of dog hair (although that could have just been us being unlucky to have an exceptionally hairy dog stay prior to us), mirrors dirty and general maintenance poor. Not enough cutlery for 6 people for a meal together and the heat pump doesn't provide enough hot water to sufficiently supply property for 6 people to shower of an evening. In the end two of our party went home after 3 nights and the remainder of is left a night early. Upon return, owner refused to engage in discussions about issues; very disappointed. This property has the potential to be absolutely wonderful but the inexperience of the new owners shows and issues were handled poorly.

We stayed at Hafan Y Gof with our two dogs for a week.

The house is beautifully presented, well decorated and modern, very comfortable and well thought out and the bonus for us was a large safe secure and enclosed garden for our dogs to safely play in. The house is centrally located to explore Cenarth and Cardigan and surrounding areas and is close to amenities, beaches, woodland and also there's a dog field less than 5 minutes away as well. We only had one issue when there, contacted the owners and this was rectified within the day, so very good customer service too. Would highly reccomend.

We have been returning to this location over the past five years this property tops them all.

The location is just perfect and quiet.

Great-looking, warm home with a very modern and beautiful interior.

The garden is lovely and provides a perfect space for kids to play. The only things I would mention are that the upstairs carpet was a bit dirty on arrival and the bathroom could use a mop to clean up water on the floor. Also, the bunk bed room is smaller than it appears in the photos — it’s ideal for small children, but my 17-year-old son couldn’t fit comfortably on the bed, so perhaps adding a single bed would be a good adjustment. Overall, thank you very much for your hospitality!

Beautiful cottage, clean and well presented.

Just got back from a 3 night stay as a family of 6.

We had an amazing stay, the property had ample room and met all of our family needs. It was spacious, clean, beautiful decor and comfortable beds

A really lovely new house situated close to Cenarth Falls and within easy reach of Cardigan (around 12 minutes).

The house is well appointed with comfy furniture and beds, all of the kitchen facilities you could wish for and smart TVs. The back garden is perfect for larger dogs and is very secure with mostly 6 foot fences. The back wall is slightly lower but backs onto a rock face. The hot tub is really nice. Lastly the owner reached out to us on arrival with their contact details should there be anything we needed, a really nice touch. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Absolutely lovely property in a beautiful area

This property was in immaculate condition.

Being accross from the caravan park, we expected to hear noice from children playing and noisy revellers, but no, nothing. It was so quiet, and peaceful. Beautifully furnished throughout. We actually only used the kitchen, dining and lounge area. We were barely in the living room. And we only used the 2 bedrooms with the double beds. very comfortable. Wish I knew where they got those pillows. A fabulous home for a fabulous holiday. Thank you to the owners. from A and K Gartshore.

Superb little gem, very quiet, great facilities!

This is an absolutely stunning cottage, beautifully designed.

It is very spacious and the open plan kitchen makes it perfect for a group to cook, eat, drink and socialise. We stayed over Christmas and everything was perfect, there was even a Christmas tree which was a lovely touch. The hot tub is wonderful although a couple of hooks on the fence to hang your towel, might be a good idea but this is a minor detail. The beds and pillows are really comfortable. You can tell the owner has gone for quality in this property. There is underfloor heating throughout the downstairs and we even had to open windows at times, even in December, because it is lovely and warm. The only thing I would like to mention are the tv’s. There is no live tv, only apps such as Netflix, BBC I-player and ITVX etc. Staying over Christmas, we felt as though we missed out on looking through the tv guide to see what was on but maybe this is something the owner is getting around to. Other than that, I would highly recommend this property. It is brand spanking new and everything you could wish for to have a relaxing stay.

The property was amazing, very clean and in pristine condition, good selection of family games, we thought that it needed bigger towels though, that’s the only one thing we thought it could be improved.

Only 1 suggestion would be a bath mat for inside the bath as the bath tub is quite slippery especially for my nan who was with us and the kids but apart from that everything was perfect !
