What guests are saying
The place was lovely and as described.
It was also clean and tidy. Very close to many places nearby for hiking/sight-seeing.
The house was clean, comfortable and a great location for enjoying the facilities in Monmouth.
Some minor frustrations were the lack of any washing-up liquid or tea towels and the fact that it didn't have a toilet downstairs.
Check-in and information provided were good.
Location good for centre of town. Once arrived and setling in we noticed dining room high chair still had old food on it, living room fireplace and surround was extremely dirty with chimney residue and dust, also we had to rewash some kitchen trays. Also gound main bathroom light pull switch wouldn't put ceiling lights on. We messaged owner regarding the light and she responded very quickly and apologised and organised an electrician to inspect it. However he didn't turn up until the next day after we again messaged the owner. Ensuite bathroom had bad drain smell which we didn't report as we thought it could be caused by the recent floods. We did recommend to the owners about speaking to cleaners so future guests wouldn't have these problems. Even though we had all these minor issues (just bad luck) we did really enjoy our stay and would not put anyone off from staying here.
