The Stall

Gwen was the perfect host, she ensured we had all we needed, she is very friendly without being intrusive.

We enjoyed our few days in the cottage very much . Seeing the cows and sheep and ponies on the common land was such a treat. The cottage is well away from the nearby small town , but only 20 mins drive. Beware of pot holes on the country lanes, it must be very tricky to repair them in remote areas! Thanks for the peace and quiet .

Gwyn is a lovely host, best one we had since we start coming to Wales on holidays.

Place was clean, beds were comfortable. Pots and pans to cook, clean fridge nice sofa to sit and watch TV. But one of the best thing was Gwyn herself she is the loveliest women we have meet, she advised us where is best food to eat and where we can do small shopping she also chatted with our kids and complemented their rock drawings. We definitely will be back. Views are amazing and definitely worth the aching legs at the end of a day. I can recommend 100% coming down to Gwyn.

This cottage was ideal for relaxing and enjoying peace and quiet.

If you have a dog there is a field at the end of the drive for exercise, but you need to be on a lead as sheep come onto the field during the day. You need to be prepared to drive a lot as, apart from the local countryside, nothing is within walking distance. We'd recommend taking self catering supplies, particularly for the first night. We loved exploring the local area and further afield. There are a couple of pubs that welcome dogs and do good food; the Britannia and the King Arthur Hotel. We enjoyed our stay and we were really well looked after.

We have stayed here several times & love it. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is at hand including peace & quiet in what I consider to be the best part of the Gower peninsula.

Nothing was too much trouble for her. The Stall was in a beautiful spot. Ideal bolt hole for visiting beaches etc. Accommodation had everything you need. Beds were comfy. I would definitely return

We had a wonderful two week stay in The Stall.

The accommodation was comfortable, in a peaceful and quiet setting. Gwyn is a lovely lady who made sure we were happy and satisfied with everything during our time there, and very generously provided fresh milk, tea, coffee, and Welsh cakes which were scrummy! The Gower itself is beautiful with many stunning beaches to choose from and places to discover. Thank you Gwyn and family for making us feel so welcome.

Gwyn gave us a friendly welcome on arrival and throughout the holiday was on call if we needed anything but left us to enjoy our time away. Lovely area to explore. Dogs really enjoyed the beaches ❤️

We loved the stall very cosy well equipped cottage.

The bed was super comfy. The setting had stunning panoramic views across to north Devon. We would definitely recommend. The area is so rugged and not your usual touristy destination. We completed some wonderful coastal walks and visited the most stunning beaches. We loved Oxwich bay. Gwyn was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay

The owner, Gwyneth, was lovely, she came around to make sure we were okay and if there, was anything we needed.

There, were Welsh cakes, tea, coffee and milk in the fridge when we arrived which was most welcome. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good but when it was clear the view of the Gower from our accommodation was very good. The only downside was that the roads to the farm were narrow and winding, but it was a good location to explore the Gower and further west. All in all to be recommended.

Back from a five night break at The Stall.

Found Gwyn, the owner, to be so friendly and helpful and she seems to have thought of everything to make the stay perfect. The accommodation was ideal for the two of us and our small dog. We visit the area a couple of times a year to see family and we’re delighted to have found The Stall - we’ll definitely be back.

Gwyn, the owner, was lovely and helpful.

The property was clean and stocked with little extras (tea,coffee, milk and Welsh cakes) so we could rest and settle in after our arrival. Internet signal was great and being able to stream my Netflix and BBC IPlayer accounts through the to was great. The facilities were great- the washer dryer was good and I also used the washing line. The location was good- windy at night but so peaceful and dark- excellent for star gazing. There was a really comprehensive welcome folder and additional leaflets and a map. It was an ideal base for visits across the area and we loved driving past the sheep and horses on the roads to get to them. A really great experience and I’d love to come back.

We have stayed at this property many times Mrs Rees is a lovely lady and does everything she can to make your stay enjoyable.

This is a great place to visit in Wales, plenty of scenery, long sandy beaches and great people.

Third visit in winter.

Gwyn so friendly. Wonderful winter sunrises and sunsets from there 360 degree as far as Devon, snow on the Brecon Beacons and as far as Pembrokeshire. Owls heard, pipistreller bats seen, lapwings, woodpeckers and more overlooking the common from there. Such variety of places so near from woods, beaches, sand dunes, marshes.

We had an amazing week stay at the stall .

The cottage was beautiful and clean everything we needed was there . Gwen the owner was so helpful and friendly couldn’t have asked for a nicer week we’ve booked again for next year .

We really enjoyed our stay at The Stalls.

The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful spot with fantastic views. The host, Gwyn, was really welcoming and keen to ensure we had everything we needed, including some very welcome Welsh cakes on arrival! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The cottage suited our needs, and was ideally placed for exploring Gower, which filled the week. Blessed with good weather, we took extended walks on and near the coast. Mrs Rees was very welcoming, and made sure we had all we needed. From the cottage we had great views of both sunrise and sunset. For keen walkers, park in the Rhossili church car park, and take the bus to Port Eynon. Choose dry weather for this, as there are some testing sections. The Worms Head is fun, and Rhossili beach is huge, with lovely flat sands. We will return!

A well appointed comfortable cottage and the owner was very friendly and helpful regarding accessing local attractions.

The house folder would benefit from having more info about local shops but other than that it had all we needed and was a good base from which we could explore the Gower.

Great Gower location.

Panoramic views of the Loughour Estaury to your right, Cefn Bryn and then Oxwich to your left. Watch the sunset over the Estuary from the front patio. Listen to the peace, cuckoos in the forest and inhale fresh air. Gwyneth is the best host and it’s totally dog friendly. Lots to do nearly by - Rhossili, Three Cliffs, Llanmadoc, Oxwich, Port Eynon and Horton bay, Mumbles, Gelli Hir Woods is a nice quiet walk nearby if you have dogs. Always watch the high tide times if you venture out for a long walk at Three Cliffs or if you want to attempt the causeway on Worms Head. Cottage has everything you will need for your Gower escape. Local shops not too far away. The Ship Inn Port Eynon and the Britannia Pub in Llanmadoc are dog friendly. The King Arthur Hotel do nice food but dog friendly outside only. All in all, Gwyneth is a fabulous host and it’s a lovely quiet location to get away from it all and explore the outstanding beauty of the Gower Peninsula with your four legged friend. Have a great trip

If you are looking for somewhere peaceful and tranquil, you definitely want to stay in this lovely, cozy and clean cottage.

Close to lovely beaches and path walks. Most of all we were greeted by lovely Gwyn, owner of the cottage, who provided us with information booklets and lovely Welsh welcome.

The location and views are staggering.

You can see Swansea bay from one side of the cottage and llanrhidian sands towards Llanelli from the other. Just to add more the views over the gower and the open farmland can be seen on the two sides you can’t see the sea. The Stall is clean and tidy with all the facilities you expect from modern holiday cottages. There is even a freezer for you to store your gower gelato ice cream or Joes if you choose Locally they cariad cafe in nearby penclawdd serves brilliant breakfast with the thickest cut bacon you have ever seen. Oh and they are next to GG’s where you can buy the icecream The owner and family are a credit to the holiday industry nothing is to much effort and she is so enthusiastic about the local area. We will be back

Lovely facilities and good position for exploring Gower.

The cottage was situated in a great spot for exploring all of the Gower peninsula.

Gwyn, the cottage owner, was great. She made sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed (which we did) and gave us some good advice on places to go.

The Stall meet the expectations of our party of 3 brilliantly.

It is in a quiet and peaceful location with great views over the surrounding countryside, especially at sun set. The owner (Gwyneth) was most hospitable and helpful in making our stay so enjoyable. Highlights for us were the cycling and swiming in the sea which is within easy reach. All-in-all, a most enjoyable stay.

The Family we Rented from were wonderful.

They went out off there way to offer from Shopping to what ever we required. We definitely will come to Wales again & hopefully stay at there Cottage again. Thank you Gwyn Alan & Jullianne.

We had a wonderful holiday at The Stall; the cottage is ideal, well equipped, very comfortable and a great base for exploring the Gower Peninsula. The cottage is in a lovely setting alongside a working farm and with great views across the Gower. We had a lovely welcome from our host Gwyneth and hope to make a return visit on our next trip to Gower.

The owner of the property was very welcoming & friendly with nothing too much trouble, Welsh Cakes & milk were most welcome after a long drive!

The property is fairly isolated which was perfect for us but not too far away by car from local eateries. It was very clean, tidy, comfortable & well equipped & we enjoyed a lovely relaxing week.

The Stall is good for a short holiday in Gower.

The farm location is a good launchpad for all destinations on Gower, giving easy access to beaches and walks. The owner is lovely, kept us informed of a water problem that didn't really impact on us, and got back to us quickly when we asked a question about the shower. She lives close by, and we saw her most days. The sheltered seating outside was great, when the sun shone :-) We had a good break, recharged the batteries, and enjoyed ourselves.

The view & location are excellent.

The owner is very helpful. As it is a farm location you may get the odd farm smells which didn’t bother us but may some people. Never smelt inside the accommodation.

Had a lovely stay here, everything we needed and a very comfy bed.

Very helpful and friendly owner nearby. Location was great for us, very quiet, on a country lane with super views, yet in the middle of Gower Peninsular, so easy to get to any part of it. Would recommend it and we'll be back.

The stall is a lovely cottage well laid out with all you need for a perfect holiday, very clean the owners are always on hand if you need them.

The twin bedded room had 2'6" beds which are not wide enough for an adult, also there is no wardrobe.

Fabulous remote cosy cottage.

Definitely need a car to get around. Stunning scenery, dog friendly beaches of Rhossili, Three Cliffs and Oxwich Bay an easy 20+ minutes drive away.

Lovely peaceful setting, beautiful views, be prepared for narrow lanes!

What a wonderful find!

Gwyn and her family are excellent hosts, available and helpful but never intrusive. The only downside was the shower, it seemed to only work occasionally and either have no hot water, no cold water, or no pressure at any given time. Probably an easy fix and to be fair, we made do and didn't raise it with Gwyn. The cottage and location are ideal for a long weekend. Not overly spacious if you want to spend a lot of your time indoors but why would you?! Easy access to Penclawdd and Gowerton for restaurants, pubs, shops and so on but also remote enough that you could avoid towns easily. Just a lovely weekend all round, highly recommend Tircoch Farm Holiday Cottages.

WiFi would be useful.

We had to go to the end of the lane to find a connection. A route description for cyclists to the cottage from Swansea station would be useful. I followed the route for cars and had difficulty with final climb to the cottage.

Mrs Rees was warm and friendly from the first day we arrived and was very helpful prior to our visit.

The heating had been put on prior to us arriving and a note placed on our door welcomed us. We were greeted by Mrs Rees soon after we arrived and she was available to ask for any help we required. She offered us a change of linen as we had a change of guest with us following the wedding we had attended. Very, very helpful, basics were also provided such as sugar milk tea and coffee on arrival absolutely brilliant also asked about whether heating had been set right as our stay little late in the year. Also met and found Mr Rees helpful and polite with conversation on a working farm. We had a brilliant week still much to see on the Gower but it was made really pleasant by the Rees family. Our dog enjoyed all the walks and the welcoming cottage.

It was a lovely stay, well worth driving the 1000 km all the way from Germany.

The surroundings are beautiful and the cottage itself is very nicely furnished, displaying love of detail and excellent taste. The landlady was very kind and helpful, and if it was not such a long drive, we would certainly make The Stall a regular holiday home. PS: Being German, we usually have very high expectations, so how could something possibly "exceed expectations"?

We have stayed in the Stall several times before.

The location is remote and beautiful on a working dairy farm. The grass alongside the approach road is cut and there are hanging baskets of flowers on the fence. The Stall is clean and well equipped. The central heating and the hot water work well. The owner Mrs Reese is friendly and helpful. We always enjoy the complimentary Welsh cakes and fresh milk.

Overall very pleased with the accommodation.

Just a couple of things: the radiator cover in the lounge is coming away from the wall (not safe with small children around!), and a useful addition would be some coat hooks in the lounge/ entrance area.

The cottage was excellent, the location superb and the owner friendly and welcoming.
