“Aesthetically pleasing, bright, uplifting and extremely charmingly renovated, Stable.”

Which was joyously easy to relax in and we enjoyed our mini break in, immensely. Excellent facilities, which would make a longer stay inviting, too. Our dogs were advocated and I would recommend the "Old Stable' highly.

“Lovely cosy little cottage in a very peace full location.”

Lovely little touches such as Welsh cakes milk etc when you arrive and toiletries. It is easy to reach so many places from here especially the beach’s perfect for walking the dogs Lovely friendly hosts we had a lovely week’s stay with my brother in another cottage’s next to ours

“The Old Stable is tucked away in the midst of the countryside and is very peaceful.”

Lots of lovely character, warm and welcoming. We used as a base for walking the Pembrokeshire coastal path. We found the bed nice and comfortable and had plenty of room for all our things. A great stay.

“This is a lovely cosy cottage, yet has all the luxury you need.”

The facilities were of very high standard and spotless. The bed was super comfy as were the armchairs. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there, right down to treats for the dogs. There is a log burner - not that we needed it as the cottage was warm. The thick stone walls were amazing, and we loved the ancient slit window in the bedroom area! Having the outside space for the dogs was very useful so we could have the door open. Accommodating 3 dogs is unusual and we were very appreciative to have that. The hosts were completely unobtrusive but available if we needed them. The road to the property was ' interesting' certainly out in the sticks but with easy 30mins access to the tourist hot spots. Lots of fab beaches and coast walks to take the dogs. Very very relaxing!

“Could not fault this little place.”

It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The little fenced in area in front of the cottage made managing the dog easy. Great location. It was quiet and felt remote but actually really close to Haverfordwest. Easy reach to Pembroke,Tenby, St David's and Fishguard. Owners were welcoming and friendly. Bed was comfortable. Shower room was a good size with big cubicle .

“This is an superb well equipped cottage for a break of peace and quiet.”

A lovely cottage suitable for a couple who just want to get away from it all, no noisy distractions, lot's of lovely countryside walks, and plenty of lovely Welsh towns to visit, obviously you'll need transport. This was our second visit with our dog, it's an absolute gem away from the urban rat race.Many thanks to Cheryl for having us and we'll be back next year.

“Beautiful little cottage a hidden gem.”

The owners were friendly and helpful. Only one criticism it would be nice if there was a broom available in the cottage so we could have cleared up the dog hair and leaves that were inevitably brought in. We had a dustpan and brush but a broom would have made it easier.

“We are an older couple who wanted a peaceful break, this was perfect.”

As much quiet as you could ask for. The cottage was spotless, well equipped, and comfortable. “Absolutely loved staying at The Old Stable , very clean and homely , perfectly equipped for two people .”

The furnishings were of very high standard , the bed was so comfortable, every detail had been thought of . So peaceful, all you can hear are the birds on the feeders ( so many different birds ) and the cows across the way but the farm is situated so centrally that you could be back in town in about ten minutes if you wished or any direction to the coast for the day . Heating available all day, woodburner lovely. Good to see birds at feeders. Parking adequate. Certain issues at the cottage brought to the attention of the owners, and resolved. A direction sign at the turn off to the cottage would have been useful.

“On the whole, we enjoyed our stay in The Old Stable.”

The accommodation was well thought through and the host very welcoming. The accommodation was clean and well-equipped, and we also loved being situated in the middle of Pembrokeshire. However, we did unfortunately struggle to sleep well during our stay due to the lack of blinds on the skylights in the building. There was no way of blocking the light from these, nor from the internet modem lit up directly above the bed, and so this woke us up early every morning. We also struggled with the duvet as it was extremely warm- great for winter holidays, but not so great for the summer! For this reason we have given it a lower rating than we otherwise would have given.

“The cottage was very very clean and comfortable.”

Very well equipped. We met the owner who was very helpful. The cottages is in a nice quiet location. The nearest big town Haverfordwest has all the shops and supermarkets if you need them. The location is ideal for access within reasonable distance to Tenby and Saundersfoot and also to St David's. The beaches at Little Haven, Broadhaven and Newgale are fantastic and dog friendly. These three beaches are a short drive away. All in all a lovely holiday at the Old Stable.

“Brilliant place to stay.”

Very homely and well wet out room. Owners are lovely and I felt that coronvirus measures were taken very seriously. Enjoyed the log burner and decent shower. Fantastic location as it is only a short drive to anywhere in pembrokeshire. Very quiet location, lovely to wake up to cows every morning. Also nice to hear the rain on the skylight on one of the nights.

“My boyfriend and I stayed 6 nights at the old stable cottage.”

The cottage was beautiful and so cosy! We arrived and were welcomed by Cheryl who was so friendly and helpful throughout. The cottage was immaculately clean and well equipped for our stay. Special touch of leaving Welshcakes, tea/coffee/ hot chocolate, fresh milk and even treats for our two dogs who thoroughly enjoyed their stay as much as we did! We did not have to bring towels as they were provided and in the bathroom we were provided with little shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc. We made use of the laundry room and loved the supply of games and dvds available to use in our cottage. The location of the cottage was perfect for visiting Tenby, St David’s and taking our dogs for coastal walks. The log burner was perfect in the evening after a long day walking in the cold weather. We were close to a few lovely pubs- I’d recommend ‘pub on the green’ its a 5 minute drive from the cottage. Delicious food and they do a steak Friday for such a good price. Thank you for a relaxing holiday! We hope to book again soon!

“Our stay at The Old Stable @ New House Farm Cottages was amazing Cheryl and her family were absolutely brilliant.”

We stayed for Christmas 23rd to 27th Dec 2018. We chose this cottage for the lovely countryside location and proximity to Haverfordwest where we have friends and family. The location is also brilliant for trips to some of the amazing beaches and of course City of St David. Cheryl contacted us prior to our arrival welcoming us to the forthcoming stay. She advised about arrival times and was so kind to offer to decorate the cottage for Christmas (which we thought was a lovely kind gesture) which was tastefully decorated and made our Christmas that but more special. She offered to help us with anything prior to our arrival and answered a few queries we had about towels and bedding and HDMI connections so that we could bring our NOW TV :-) On arrival we found a selection of gifts for us (including Christmas crackers which we had forgot to bring!!!) and some fresh milk in the fridge which made settling in with so much easier. We were able to bring our dogs which was a HUGE bonus for us. The farm had plenty of space for small walks so that dogs can relieve themselves (whilst kept on a lead at all times as there were other pets around and the proximity to a working farm which is well justified) and the location of the cottage is relation to some great country and coastal walks is amazing. Which of course is why we were here with our dogs to enjoy the walking. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well stocked with everything you needed including little touches like a touch for walking the dogs in the dark! There was a lovely log burning fire with a generous supply of woods and scented kindling. Additionally wood was available for a small charge. The cottage has free view with plenty of channels, but as it was Christmas we wanted to bring our NOW TV and were able to hook up to the Wifi to stream this. The facilities include a laundry which we made use of saving on washing cloths when we got home, again another great benefit was we could hit the ground running on our return. There was also a hose so that we could wash down the dogs after walks. This was an amazing place for us to stay and we look forward to booking this cottage again in 2019.

Equipment was just adequate and there was nowhere to store food. Extra logs for the fire cost £5 for a basket of about 8 logs which lasted 4 hours.

We are so sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay here, we try our hardest To give our guests everything they might need for their holiday. The photographs were taken in May when the sun was shining but Unfortunately it is not so bright in November and due to the size and Type of building we are restricted as to storage in the kitchen but we Try to offer as much as we can. We now supply the equivalent quantity of firewood and kindling in Baskets rather than the netting as we are trying to be more eco Friendly, we make sure there are 13/15 logs and adequate kindling in Each basket and the first basket is free. We state in the information Book that we can supply further wood/kindling at a reduced rate for our Guests, this is hardwood which we have sourced ourselves locally. Once again we are sorry that your stay with us wasn't what you expected. Property Owner

“A very warm welcome from the owner.”

The Old Stable was well furnished and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed and chairs. Lovely shower and thick fluffy towels. A welcome pack with lots of goodies was a lovely touch. Decorated with a Christmas tree and other items, it looked beautiful. Lovely log burner and we were given a large bag of logs with the owners compliments. Would recommend to friends and look forward to return visit.
