The Old Granary

The old Granary was a perfect place for our week in Pembrokeshire.

The cottage is spacious and very well equipped with a nice area outside to enjoy the glorious weather we had during our stay. The wet room an added bonus. The large paddock area was perfect for our dogs to exercise in and the out door area dog safe. All in all a lovely place to stay

Property was ideally situated for exploring Pembrokeshire.

The only issue was our age, as the sofas were low, and we found them hard to get out of! Warm welcome given by the owner.

The Old Granary was as described in the listings and was very good value for money.

The cottage was warm, clean and comfortable and very well equipped. The location was ideal for exploring all corners of Pembrokeshire, and in itself was quiet and peaceful. We thought Heather was lovely and very helpful; for example, in giving advice about places to visit. We are happy to recommend the cottage as a base for an enjoyable holiday.

The Old Granary exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The property is clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The owner was lovely and made us welcome when we arrived. The exercise field behind the property was a bonus and our two terriers loved running and playing in the field. We will return in 2026 I’m sure.

The property had most things you need. Our small dog couldn’t get on with the wooden floor and the stairs, he was slipping all over. Just a tip for dog owners. Our weather was fantastic unfortunately we couldn’t sit on the lovely patio owing to masses of flies. Maybe because we were next to a cows field. Overall it was a lovely cottage.

What an absolute GEM

This is an outstanding property.

Heather and her family have custom designed an excellent holiday property which provides a high level of cleanliness, practicality and comfort. The property is in an excellent quiet location, with easy access to local towns and the coast. Although listed as semi-detached it is not overlooked and private. The off-road parking and outdoor space is a bonus. There is a fantastic clean and spacious wet room and pleasant open plan living in the well-equipped and maintained kitchen space. The property is not only dog-friendly but well designed with dogs in mind and provision of a secure exercise field was very welcome. We would have no hesitation in recommending the property and would return! Many thanks for making our holiday so easy and relaxing.

Beautiful cottage quiet and clean

Cottage was in a beautiful, quiet location and had everything home from home. The owner greeted us and showed us where everything how everything worked/kept. I would definitely recommend this property and hopefully will be back. Many thanks

I can sum up our stay at The Old Granary in one word, for us it was just perfect.

We had a warm welcome from the very friendly owner Heather ( who lives next door but you would never know it ) and apart from her popping in mid week to see that everything was OK and bring us some of her own fresh eggs we hardly saw a soul. The cottage was warm and comfortable with a huge main bedroom and very comfy bed and we woke up every morning to the dawn chorus ( even a cuckoo) and the mooing of the heifers. The enclosed patio is a sun trap and the bonus is the secure dog paddock. Some may find it a bit remote but you can reach anywhere on the peninsula in about half an hour. There are lots of places to visit and dozens of places to eat. Top tip, Sunday lunch at The Pump on the Green in Spittal is really good value but book before you come. Thank you Heather we really loved your set up.

On arrival the owner showed us around and was friendly and welcoming.

Everything was excellent, the cottage was well equipped and spacious with a lovely kitchen, bathroom and wet room. Views of the countryside were beautiful. All within short distances to beaches and tourist attractions. Would highly recommend the cottage.

Lovely cosy cottage with everything you needed plus the added bonus of a secure paddock to run the dogs if needed.

Within 10 -15 min drive of supermarkets and very peaceful. We loved it.

The property was very clean, with a lovely patio area which gets lots of sun.

The location is extremely quiet at night and the paddock was perfect for exercising our 2 dogs. Haverfordwest - about 20 mins away - has all the main shops and supermarkets and the general location of the property was ideal for touring the county, which has to be one of the best in the UK. One recommendation would be to provide the location using What3words which is becoming more and more popular and is extremely accurate.

The Old Granary was ideal for our first break away with our 9-month old labrador.

Especially the paddock nearby where we could leave him off his lead and do some training. Heather is the perfect host making sure we had everything we needed. The extra little touches like a packet of biscuits, bottle of wine and milk in the fridge and torches for taking the dog out ment a lot to us.

Absolutely perfect welcome, the cottage had a lovely warm cosy feel.

Great base for exploring local area and loved the rural location and beautiful views from house. We would love to return in future. Owners were very helpful and accommodating.

Lovely time had by us all.

Typical Welsh weather but we were not put off and went out every day. The 2 granddaughters loved there stay as well. Went tp pembrook castle welsh botanical gardens. St davids and twice to the beach and they went into the sea on both occasions. Last day we went to folly farm and zoo. The cottage is in a very quiet place so we slept well.

Thoroguly enjoyed our stay! Our hosts couldn't have been nicer, the property was everything we had dreamed about for months in anticipation! Cosy, beautiful and totally idealic. Will certainly be staying again and would recommend the old granary to absolute anyone!

We had a very enjoyable stay at The Old Granary.

Heather and Bill were very welcoming and helpful. Plenty of space for 4people. It was good having 2 bathrooms. A good base for travelling around taking in the walks on the Coastal Path.

Heather a lovely lady made us feel very welcome showed us around and also to the private dog field.

Re commended an open garden on the Sunday which we both enjoyed! My only recommendation would be to have nice garden furniture as what wad there was old . It’s a lovely sun trap patio.

Over all it was OK the weather didn't help but we could not get comfortable due to the beds were a bit to hard on us and the sofa abit to low the lady was very nice and helpful would have been much better without the rain

The property is everything we needed.

Warm, spacious, clean. The owners are absolutely lovely. Very welcoming with the little touches thought of for arrival, milk, coffee and a bottle of wine! The paddock use for the dog is fantastic. Very safe. Home from home. Thank you for a wonderful break away.

Had a lovley stay.

The house is very cosey and spacious. The paddock is great for letting the dogs have a run around and the sheep are super cute. Everything was clean, the fresh flowers were a lovley touch and the hosts were very welcoming and relaxed.

Stunning location in quiet countryside, but easily accessible to the local areas of interest. Clean and immaculate inside, lovely and warm and good welcome package. The paddock was a much loved place for out 2 dogs! Would thoroughly recommend!

Lovely, clean, comfortable cottage in a pretty and peaceful location with friendly, helpful, generous and responsive hosts.

The only negative were the creaky floorboards, which require attention at some point. Other than that, highly recommended.

The Old Granary was home from home.

The owners were very friendly and the wine, milk and biscuits were much appreciated. As were the fresh flowers. This was our second visit and we will visit the Old Granary again.

We had a very warm welcome from the owner; fresh flowers placed downstairs and in the main bedroom added to the overall warm and attractive ambience.

The only downside is that our elderly dog slipped on the wooden floor a few times, she really did enjoy playing in the paddock though!

The cottage is well situated for a quiet holiday but in easy reach of beaches, towns and tourist attractions.

The facilities were second to none that we have stayed at and extremely clean and well presented. We had comfy nights in lovely beds. The owners are very friendly and are at hand if needed but do not interfere. Highly recommended. We will be visiting again x thank you x

Lots of space. Peaceful location. Heather was extremely helpful and Friendly. Loved waking up to a field full of cows.

The cottage was perfect, comfy, clean very well equipped.

What we really enjoyed was our friendly host, full of useful information and so generous, giving us eggs , chocolate biscuits and local produce. We would definitely recommend Heather and Bill's place.

A wonderful location in the countryside, with cows in the field at the end of the garden.

The house is a lovely size, with good kitchen facilities, just spacious, and the most comfortable beds. A great place to be located and within easy reach on some spectacular coastal and countryside walks.

Bill and Hev were extremely welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.

Bill was very welcoming when we arrived.

Show us all around and explain the workings of all appliances. Very clean and tidy cottage. Log burner was a plus. Location was great. Easy travelling to Tenby, Milford, St David's Bay and Haverford West. Great location for dogs. Most pubs allow dogs in the bar area. Would love to return.

We had a lovely time at the old granary with our 2 dogs.

The only bit of a down side was the small court yard wasn’t fully closed in the dogs could easily have got out. So we couldn’t leave the patio doors open with out being there to supervise as the courtyard went out into the farmers field where the cows were grazing.

The cottage is ideally placed to explore Pembrokeshire.

It’s well equipped and private.

Everything we wanted and needed in a cottage Would be useful if you would mention if the bedding was feather or polyester .

As a person who is allergic to feather bedding , having to take duvets and pillowcases with us was very inconvenient

The cottage was lovely and the setting very peaceful.

As the weather was so hot it was wonderful to have a lounge which stayed cool. Some garden chairs would have been nice but it didn’t ruin the holiday!

This holiday was stress free from the time I booked to the day we left.

Just by being given an email reminder on when the final payment is due as with everyday life you do forget some things, then again when you needed to ring the owners to arrange key collection. The app is a nice touch to as all your booking details are right there for you to look at.

All of the places of interest we wanted to visit were under an hour away so it was a great base to explore Pembrokeshire from. Would definitely recommend this property.
