Description

Strumble Head is a great place for walking and watching the fabulous native and migrating wildlife such as seals, porpoises, dolphins and birds. Panteurig Farmhouse dates back to 1795 and is near a huge rocky outcrop called Garn Fawr, a Dark Sky site, just above Pwllderi in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. On a clear day you can see down to St Davids, over to the Preseli Hills and across to Ireland.

The nearby towns of Goodwick and Fishguard are about 10 minutes by car and offer individual shops, restaurants and pubs.

St Davids with its magnificent cathedral and Newport with its lovely beaches, are both well worth visiting and are each within a half hour drive.

If you enjoy walking, a bridleway/footpath leads from the Farmhouse to the 186-mile-long Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Alternatively, the seasonal coastal bus service passes the end of the lane if you prefer to walk a different stretch.

A great place for getting away from it all.

The ambience of the area with far reaching views across the country is a great tonic.

The owner was extremely nice and very helpful.

Our grandchildren loved seeing the farm animals.

We chose Panteurig Farmhouse because its location made it ideal for a walking holiday & we were not disappointed.

The farmhouse has a lot of character & has been lovingly restored. We were pleased that the kitchen is well equipped because we were cooking all our meals. The weather got hotter during our week's stay, so we enjoyed several meals on the wooden bench out on the lawn - a definite plus! Olwyn, the owner was very friendly and helpful in responding quickly to our requests for assistance. After we checked out I let Olwyn know that the cold tap in the bathroom was very difficult to turn off and leaked slightly; she told me she would get it fixed. The farmhouse is approached via a rough track several hundreds of yards from the lane. We really enjoyed the peace & quiet of the location.
