Description

This 100-year-old railway carriage has been converted into a shepherds-hut-style accommodation, compact and rustic, with an open-plan formation.

Plan a romantic getaway for two, or escape into the peace and quiet for some leisure time away from the hustle and bustle.

Steps lead up to the property entrance, where you can really feel the sense of character and charm inviting you inside, a lovely place to return to after an eventful afternoon.

Evenings can be spent outside relaxing in front of the fire pit toasting marshmallows with a warm cup of tea, followed by a peaceful night's sleep in the well-appointed double bedroom.

Wake up to the homely interior all over again and start your morning by preparing breakfast in the kitchen area, whilst you make plans for the day ahead.

Why not take a moment to be at one with the location by strolling out to the enclosed garden, a chance to sit back and admire the hillside views which are located before you?

The market town of Abergavenny nestles between seven mountains, with the River Usk flowing through it, resulting in beautiful scenery from every direction.

Further afield, the town boasts a castle with its own museum, churches, an indoor market hall, and a multitude of pubs and restaurants, with something for everyone.

Not forgetting the wealth of natural beauty and walks past the Wye Valley, along the Brecon Canal or within the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons).

A destination not to be missed.

My stay at the Railway Carriage was just what the doctor ordered.

After 18 days of hard & fast paced travel itiniery. I was exhausted & needed replenishing & solitude. This I got in this very quaint comfortable & very clean, homey accommodation. I was a place & time for me to charge my batteries & get rid of a very intense headache, which I seem to get at least once every time I travel. I stocked up on groceries from a local shop & bunkered down for a couple of days. Every time I looked out the windows or stepped outside for some fresh air there were animals. Horses, sheep, birds of every kind. Rabbits bounding around in the paddock & squirrels running around looking for lovely morsals of flowers to be munched on. A pretty town with a very comfy place to stay. A local Pub with top food & enjoyable for anyone who needs rest & relaxation but likes to stroll. Many lovely roads to stroll down, run or walk, with magnificent views in every direction of the Brecon Beacons countryside.
