Mistletoe Cottage

The cottage provided all we needed as a family for a relaxing time together.

All the beds were extremely comfortable, and everything was provided as stated. The surrounding countryside added to the tranquil, peaceful time together, whilst the gardens allowed us to relax in the evening. The kitchen was well appointed with all we needed. Having a large fridge and separate freezer was so beneficial. I would certainly return again with friends and family to this beautiful area and have no hesitation in recommending this delightful cottage for others to enjoy. Thank you.

This property is fantastic.

Absolutely beautiful to look at, nice and roomy inside, with plenty of room for everyone to lounge around in or play games. Everything was spot on, the owners have clearly thought of everything. The garden and other space outside is excellent and again absolutely gorgeous. Also there is a cafe round the corner and a top pub (the chain bridge) just a 5 minute stroll away. The surrounding area is also great. I would highly highly recommend. It is a great house for a holiday.

We had nice sunny weather so was able to enjoy sitting in the garden and courtyard patio the children had lots of fun playing. Very pretty area with nice walks nearby . Nice cooked breakfast in the nearby cafe!

Mistletoe Cottage was an amazing place to stay for a family celebration, the accommodation was fantastic! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for our group of 11. Every detail thought of - plenty of dishwasher tablets & toilet rolls supplied for the weekend, often at other self-catering accommodation you only get a few! It was very clean & tidy. Excellent showers, roll top bath & plenty of towels, beds were really comfortable too. Various outdoor seating areas with a patio and garden for the children to play in. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We hope to return in the future to this excellent property. Only 3 miles from Usk We also went to the Craft Renaissance cafe only a few seconds walk away for tea & cake, breakfast & lunch - excellent food & friendly staff.

Lovely house.

Suitable for our large group plus a dog. Rooms were attractive and clean. Kitchen was fully equipped and we appreciated the little finishing touches of Welsh Cakes and Tea and Coffee. Garden space and access to other nearby venues was ideal.

Our party of 6 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 babies had a wonderful time at Mistletoe Cottage.

The house is very spacious, comfortable and stylish and very warm on chilly days. The bedrooms are lovely! Helene was superb at communicating, friendly and welcoming and even brought round some extra equipment that I needed for baking. A lovely place to stay!

We stayed here with my family just before Christmas and we couldn't have asked for anymore.

Wonderful location and holiday home, well worth the price.

The only issue we had was not being able to control the heating system.

Usually not a problem, but with a 3 year old grandchild we found we had to use the additional heating sources provided. All in all, the most wonderful location and accommodation and we look forward to booking Mistletoe Cottage again ❤️

Our first time at mistletoe cottage for our annual xmas gathering of friends and we all absolutely loved the place.

Hele went over and above for us which added to the wonderful break we had. The local pub was also very accommodating. We will definitely be back

We were so bowled over by the welcoming reception to the cottage, including the dogs! The layout and location were perfect. Such a beautiful cottage, we will definitely go back.

Mistletoe Cottage was everything we hoped for and more!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was easy to find, well maintained and spacious. It is an extremely well equipped property. We were warm; beds were comfy and towels were good quality. It was a bonus having the Craft Renaissance Kitchen practically on our doorstep - they serve an extremely tasty roast dinner on a Sunday!

! We were all very happy, well equiped, including plastic bowls and spoons .etc for small children. Beds were very comfy, as were the sofas , with plenty of towels for everyone.Everything we needed for a family holiday and our granchildren were even allowed to explore property before the grownups so they could sort out sleeping arrangements!!! And I would like to mention the decor, really lovely and perfect for a property of it's age and yet with all mod cons!! Thank you so much and we hope to be back sometime soon.

Mistletoe Cottage was exceptionally clean, the cleanest place we have stayed to date in England and Wales which was very welcome.

The property is very well equipped, extremely clean a tidy throughout. My entire family were able to stay all together under one roof to celebrate my 60th birthday, so we will all have very fond memories of our stay. For anyone wishing to book Mistletoe Cottage, I highly recommend the location, with a superb cafe on sight and beautiful countryside on your doorstep. Thank you.

Property owners were charming and helpful.

The property was exactly as the photographs showed although the descriptions of the bedrooms on the various floors could be better described. The welcome pack and all the items included in the cottage should be mentioned ie tea, ground coffee and bathroom shower products as this is a very generous gesture.

Our residents had a lovely stay within the home and the beautiful grounds would highly recommend again.

Beautifully situated. Very private and relaxed setting, whilst friendly owners are on hand if needed. Great cafe adjoining, which adds rather than detracts from the experience. A lovely place to stay, that feels like a home, and not a holiday cottage. Beautifully furnished and equipped. Just missing a colander!! :)

We had a wonderful stay for my mums 60th birthday.

The cottage is beautiful and in a gorgeous location. The child and adults all loved it. The cottage was clean and well equipped for our stay. We would also give the hosts more than 5 out of 5 if we could for being so helpful and understanding when we had a poorly child and car problems! Hosts were fantastic throughout our stay and available when needed.

This was the most gorgeous house and was perfect for our needs for a long weekend.

It is tastefully decorated and was very clean with thick towels and lovely beds! We loved the open kitchen that flowed into the large living room. The house is well equipped and we really did have the best time.

Fantastic place in a lovely part of Wales.

We had a large group of 9 plus one dog and had lots of room... even an extra bedroom that we didn't need. Very welcoming and accommodating owners who went out of their way to get everything just right for us. Added bonus of the lovely cafe connected to the site, which does a fabulous breakfast! We would be very happy to recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the region.

All the facilities you could need, amazing kitchen fully stocked with all crockery/pots/utensils/ kids crockery etc. Hele and Rob were wonderful hosts, provided all baby equipment for us so we didn't have to bring it and even put up a Christmas tree for me! Literally couldn't recommend enough! X

The main thing was the location of the property needs to be more accurately described as it is off the main (B) road rather than up Church Lane.

Everything we could have needed was in the property which was very clean, comfortable and fitted out to a high standard.

Warm welcome from the owner who lives nearby and when we had a query it was sorted out straightaway. The kitchen was very well equipped with extras provided that were generous and unexpected. Plenty of parking for cars.

The property is in a delightful setting with a very pleasant dog proof garden. The interior has been beautifully designed and well equipped and was exceptionally comfortable. The adjacent cafe was an added bonus and sufficiently distant to be non intrusive. Hele and Rob were charming and perfect hosts, informative and helpful. The surrounding area is stunning, with easy access to Usk and enchanting river walks.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 4night stay with the family where we found our hosts were very hospitable. The cottage was very clean and beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed for our party of 11 including a enclosed garden for our dog. The tea and welsh cakes on arrival were very welcome after our journey. A short drive takes you to Usk which is well worth exploring. The Renaissance cafe on-site provided a lovey menu to suit all tastes with friendly service.

We had a lovely family weekend away. Immaculate. Really nice outside areas, safe for children. Highly recommend.

Beautifully presented, plenty of space for everyone including our dog.

For my elderly parents getting around the ground floor was easy and having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom was key to the booking. Excellent location for access to neighbouring villages and towns. We even re-booked before we left whilst enjoying the peaceful garden setting. Thank you Helene and Rob

The cottage has everything that you could possibly want for a restful stay away from home.

Owners in an adjoining farmhouse should there be any problems. Excellent facilities in a quiet rural location, but many places to explore across Wales for interesting days out. No need to cook, with a small on site family run restaurant, providing excellent breakfasts and meals which locals recognise as a favoured place to visit. We stayed for 10 days and will be very happy to return again.

Beautiful cottage!

Well presented and clean! So peaceful and relaxing! Hele was super helpful with anything we needed, even offering extra bits for little one! 15 minute drive from lots of gorgeous Welsh towns and 5 mins from Usk which has lovely river walks and cute little places to stop for a drink

The property is great for a large group of family or friends.

Plenty of room inside and outside. Comfortable and very well equipped. We enjoyed the area too, and the cafe and galley onsite was a real bonus. We all had a very happy weekend at Mistletoe Cottage.
