Mews Cottage

Delighted on arrival after a long drive.

The cottage was perfect in location and easy to find. Everything was as listed and beyond. A welcome pack of crackers and wine was a nice touch. The village itself was nice and quiet with plenty of walking/exploring to be found. Good pubs and a village store also accomodating. Recommend a drive over to Llansteffan (30mins) hidden gem . Only niggle was parking a little tight ,CRV squeezed in . David the owner was quick to respond to a minor hot water issue, soon rectified. Overall a lovely place to stay and explore. Thankyou.

Firstly - the property, the property descriptions and myself and my party expectations were fully met.

We also loved the owners gifts to us, not sure if that's always done, but a lovely touch, making us welcome. Really enjoyed the stay, the property and the ease of access to West Wales. would we book again? Absolutely! Would we recommend to a friend? definitely! We loved it and it was everything we wanted it to be. Thankyou so much. 10 out of 10. This is just a footnote to the owner, the one mattress in the twin room seems to have been water damaged (my guess) the mattress sags heavily down the middle and needs replacing, the ceiling needs a coat of paint :) . the large frying pan needs replacing (sticks when cooking). The garden gate, at the bottom needs some mesh or extra wood so small dogs can't get out. Again none of this bothered us we loved and would happily stay again - 10 out of 10. This was the perfect location, easy to walk around the town and get out to Tenby and other places, but also quiet and peaceful.

What a delightful property.

It felt like a real home. That made all the difference. We had a lovely time. The brochure with local information was most helpful too. We would most definitely recommend this very special place. It was situated in a beautiful place too.

We have enjoyed another week at Mews Cottage, very conveniently situated near the foreshore and castle, with on-site parking.

The accommodation is comfortable, very clean and quite minimalist, which we appreciate. The garden is a peaceful sunny spot most of the day. Slight downsides- the shower may need de-scaling? The freezer was quite iced up, not a huge amount of kitchen equipment ( no colander for example), but not a problem for us, we don’t cook much on holiday. The flowers, crisps and wine on arrival were lovely, thank you. Certainly recommend Mews Cottage for a comfortable week.

It's a comfortable, modern house in a historic and dramatic location.

We had a pleasant stay at Mews Cottage.

It was accurately described. Was interesting that a washing line, ironing board and iron were provided but no washing machine. No matter to us. The issue of the TV remote was sorted out by us. We did inform the owner. The parking is tight next to a wall and under a tree, but we managed. The rear garden is nice though as there are gaps under both gates we kept our dog on lead. Laugharne is a busy village, small town. Lots of pleasant walks and surrounding countryside. Thank you for letting us stay

A great stay from start to finish. Very clean and comfortable. Welcome wine and crisps! Even flowers. Right in the heart of the town and close to the River Taf.

What a lovely home from home feel it had.

Situated in a very quiet location within the village. The cottage was very comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. It has a lovely little garden equipped with furniture that we would of used if the weather had been better!! I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic location absolutely no complaints with property, a little confusion with locating the property and parking.

We had a nice week at Mews Cottage, everything was clean with a well equipped kitchen.

We booked fairly last minute, I hadn't noticed that there was no washing machine until after I booked. Travelling with young children we found it a struggle without one. There was a problem with the shower while we were there but the owner responded very quickly to get it resolved which was much appreciated. We had glorious weather so spent most of our days on the beach, you have to drive to get to the beaches - but the beaches in the area are lovely.

The garden was especially lovely, quiet and peaceful and our dog loved sitting out there in the sunshine and the cool of the evening!

We booked very last minute and certainly weren’t expecting to have found a very comfortable, clean and well equipped place in perfect surroundings.

The location was wonderful with lots of lovely walks and pubs very close to the house. There is also a huge amount of places to visit further afield. We spent a lovely three days there. Thank you

A lovely cottage, everything you need.

Comfortable bed. Very clean, lovely garden to relax in. Lovely local walks with amazing views especially Dylan's Birthday walk. Interesting castle, lots to play with for children or the young at heart. Would definitely recommend this as a holiday destination. Very central to beautiful beaches.

A lovely clean, well equipped property.

Conveniently located very close to shop, pub, cafe, castle and walks along the estuary. Only downside was the small bathroom but it was well equipped with a lovely walk in shower.

And for the welcoming fresh flowers and wine. All very clean and fresh feeling, well equipped for our needs, great to have private outdoor space too. We did find the allocated parking space a bit tight, even though my car is quite small. One suggestion, as it’s a few yards to carry luggage etc , provision of a small trolley would be greatly appreciated. The Convenience store right next door is well supplied, and it’s a just a short walk to the shore, a really delightful situation, right in Laugharne.

We enjoyed staying at the cottage very much thank you. The positives were the large clean kitchen with large fridge freezer. Good TV and large sofa in lounge and nice little garden to enjoy. The negatives are little things really. Parking space is tight to access and others need to park well in order to maximise its space. The shower did not stay hot for very long? although the heating was very warm and hot tap in kitchen very hot?? The TV in bedroom could not be used even though instructions followed and both the digibox and TV switched on the screen only displayed 'no signal'. A massive plus would be a downstairs utility with a toilet and washing machine but this is a big ask admittedly! The little cul-de-sac was lovely and the neighbours friendly. A lovely view of the castle from main bedroom window and shop 20yrds very useful. I would stay again but would pack more clothes as no launderette in village. Best wishes to owners.

It is a fabulous cottage in an excellent location.

Very comfortable,well equipped with all essentials you need.only thing missing was bins in the bedrooms.

It was a beautiful house, had everything we needed and in a perfect location for us too.

We were absolutely delighted with Mews Cottage.

.what a find. Everything was so comfy and clean. Tucked into the end of the courtyard it was so quiet that once inside you feel you could be in the middle of the countryside it is so quiet. Having a place to park (tho narrow! ) is so convenient as means you can just wander down to the village. Going further afield in the car you have the lovely coastline..we visited Pendine, Amroth and Saundersfoot and in spite of mixed weather had a lovely relaxing short break...just what we needed.

Couldnt fault the place. Will come back in the near future. Recommend Dexters at Browns to eat as food was excellent.

The cottage was clean and comfortable.

A dripping tap was resolved promptly. A set of drawers would be useful in the small room off the twin bedroom, especially if older children or adults were using that room. The property summary online, states that there is "allocated parking for 1 car to the side of the property". This suggests it is adjacent to the property and although the location wasn't a problem for us, it might be for some people, eg,if it was bad weather when unloading/loading luggage, especially if arriving in the evening as there is no lighting on the path.

‘A little gem’ - very comfortable and clean with lovely outside space and in idyllic location.

We had a lovely stay near one of our favourite places.

The cottage was lovely, very clean and fresh and lots of storage space. The only thing was the lack of dishwasher and washing machine as there was only 1 towel to accommodate each guest for a week. There were spares but with a note saying to leave for the next guests. Other than that, we loved staying here and will definitely be back! Thank you

Lovely little cottage in the most amazing village.

Ideal for travelling around Pembrokeshire. The village has enough facilities to park the car and enjoy. The cottage is spotlessly clean, the garden a bliss. The only noise is the wildlife!! Highly recommended. Would love to go back.

Had a fabulous stay at Mews Cottage.

On arrival we were welcomed with flowers, Welsh toffee waffles (my favourite ) a big bag of crisps and a bottle of wine. There was everything you need and more. Tea, coffee (we did bring our own as normally elsewhere this isn't supplied), salt and pepper, boxes to take sandwiches out. Shower was good, and the bed was very comfy. Thank you, will hopefully be back next year.

Mews Cottage was a lovely, comfortable base to return to after a day out and was very well equipped.

A big thank you to David for responding to a couple of issues so promptly and for the treats. We loved the area and had a wonderful ten days.

Lovely house right in the middle of Laugharne but very quiet location, the house is clean, comfy beds, and a great lounge to watch T.

V of a night time, and the welcome pack was very thoughtful, the only very small issue was the car parking space is very narrow, this wouldn't stop us from booking this property again
