The fitted kitchen looks out over the beautiful patchwork of cottage gardens and is amply appointed for cooking with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer.

There is also a washer/dryer for your convenience.

From your peaceful patio, you can enjoy morning coffees or evening Apéritifs while listening to the adjacent babbling brook and birdsong. The living room has two plush reclining sofas from which to laze and watch the Smart TV, listen to music, or open the patio doors and enjoy the sunset.

Two miles from lively and picturesque Crickhowell and just four miles from the historical market town of Abergavenny, from your Glangrwyney hideaway you can easily explore castles, medieval mansions and Roman remains, as well as discovering locally-produced food at gastro pubs, ancient inns and restaurants.

A mile away, the village of Gilwern has a few convenience stores and access to the wonderful walks along the Brecon - Monmouthshire canal, with canal boat hire companies offering opportunities to explore by water as far as the historic town of Brecon.

Avid walkers and adventurers can spend their time exploring and enjoying the abundance of hiking, cycling, rock climbing, bird watching and pony trekking opportunities the Beacons provide.

World renowned cultural events including the Hay Festival, Green Man, How The Light Gets In, and the Abergavenny Food Festival take place in the area.

We received a warm welcome from the owners, who even helped us with our bags through the garden.

We found the accommodation a bit difficult to find, and the directions could be simplified. Coming from Brecon, the Bluebell Inn is exactly opposite the private lane. We missed the gravel entrance on arrival; however, on turning back, it was clear.

This is a gem of a holiday let situated in a small village between Abergavenny and Crickhowell.

The cottage is very comfortable with a lot of thought having gone into providing everything a holidaymaker could want/need. An oasis of cool during this heatwave - the hosts Vicky and Stuart are friendly and welcoming and the pre arrival information was outstanding and the welcome pack was amazing.
