What guests are saying
Lovely cottage, done to a high standard, warm, spotless, comfortable and well equipped.
Both Simon and Alison were kind and helpful and do their best to provide anything you need. has loads of parking and fields leading down to a pond and the River Clydach. Lovely area for walking if you are happy to use the car as it takes about 15 minutes to walk to Gilwern where the canal and river walks start. Loads of herons on the canal going towards Abergavenny. Easy free car park at canal. Also saw a kite from the cottage and loads of buzzards around and about. The mountain walks are wonderful but access roads are very steep and mostly narrow. Very helpful local petrol garage and well stocked Spar a few minutes drive away if you need it. The Venison Farm and coffee shop is well worth a visit. Can recommend the fillet, burgers and home made pies but everything looked lovely. Good selection of Welsh gifts.
A well-furnished and appointed barn conversion in a beautiful part of the Beacon Beacons.
Very good communication with the host, who lives on-site. Lying between Abergavenny and Crickhowell it is well placed for pubs, shops and places of historic interest. The lane leading to the farm needs to be negotiated quite carefully but it is not far from the main road.
We had a lovely week at Longside.
The accommodation was perfect, very clean and spacious with everything we needed. The location is very good, very quite and peaceful but with easy access to the main roads and lots of castles and walks within a short driving distance. Simon and Alison were both very friendly and helpful.
