Beautiful place however a long drive to anywhere

Lovely cottage and surrounding estate.

The enclosed garden was essential as we had 2 large dogs with us but did not realise from advert that garden was shared with adjoining cottages.

The cottage was great and suited all our needs!

Grounds of the estate are fantastic for bringing yourself back to nature....peace, quiet and gorgeous views over the countryside! Heated pool was loved by all....second time there and would definitely go back!

Lovely quiet peaceful holiday was what we required and Sandpiper cottage was the answer.

Great setting and owners very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

My children loved the pool and the grounds. It was really relaxing and we can't wait to go back.

We were met with a friendly welcome from the owners and shown into our spotlessly clean, warm and thoughtfully equipped property.

The cottage has a large secure grass area with a lovely view across fields. The grounds are beautiful with a peaceful walk to the lake through the various trees and shrubs. The main lawns are very well maintained and to top it off having a dip in the warm pool every evening was a welcome bonus. We had a perfect and relaxing holiday here and the owners have gone above and beyond to make it that way.

Fabulous little cottage owners very helpful when there was an kitchen item missing from the cottage and when we couldn’t get the cooker to work (our fault).

Our granddaughter loved the swimming pool loved walking around the lake and woodlands lovely relaxing holiday

The heating was set rather warm, which meant we had to open windows.

Skylight windows we were unable to open due to a broken prop. But over all lovely facilities, we will be back

Very Lovely stone cottage with the benefit of the use of a swimming pool.

central to both Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage has everything you need. Wi-fi a bit hit and miss. Superb grounds surrounding the cottages and very good for dogs. Would definitely recommend this cottage for visitors for South Wales.

The communication was great and the Owner and his family were very friendly and helpful. The location is stunning and the swimming pool was a great bonus and we used it every day! The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable and we sat outside every evening admiring the views. The location was very central for various trips out and several local pubs, The Plash and The Castle Inn at Llansteffan in particular, were great places to eat. We will go back!!

A well equipped lovely cottage set amoungst beautiful grounds and views.

Owners, who are so friendly, are there and help at a drop of a hat while also leaving you to enjoy your stay. The pool was amazing, swimming while overlooking stunning landscape while watching the sun set are memories i will hold for a lifetime. The cottage was almost perfect, only issue was wobbly dining chairs. We had a wonderful holiday and none of us wanted to leave. Thank you!

The Cottage and associated site facilities were very good, and the proprietors were very welcoming and very helpful.

The cottage was very well equipped and very clean, there was nothing that we did not have. We throughly enjoyed our stay on the site and also the beauty and interest of the surrounding area. One point - when describing the cottage as "Sleeps 4" it should be mentioned that the 2 x Twin Beds in Sandpiper Cottage are only 2ft 6ins wide beds- and as such really only comfortable for young children. In the overall description of the location - the 2 x Pubs in the Village have now both shut - the nearest Pub/Restaurant is now around 4 miles away.

The cottage was prepared for our arrival.

The house was warm, the fridge and freezer were on, spotlessly clean and tea, coffee and milk sugar and a little cake each. Much appreciated on arrival.

Warm welcome from Rob even though it was raining heavily on arrival, cottage was warm and welcoming, both Rob and Chris are great hosts and we loved their dogs.

The grounds were great for walking around with our dogs. Bonus is the swimming pool and due to Covid regulations we had slots allocated for sole use which we loved. Great location and we will definitely return.

We stayed in Sandpiper cottage from Saturday 15th.

May We were met by Rob as we pulled into the carpark. He immediately made us feel welcome. We were very impressed by the strict Covid regulations even a hand sanitizer dispenser on the door of the cottage. The cottage was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The views from the back of the cottage were stunning for city dwellers like us. We were looking forward to seeing the night sky, as there is no light pollution but the clouds prevented a clear view. Wi-Fi great managed to attend a few Zoom meetings. What made the break so good is I was able to swim every day in a heated pool we were able to book a slot each day. The pool is sanitized between slots. We felt very safe. I would highly recommend the cottages for families and couples plus they are pet friendly. We look forward to returning. Anne and Pat.

We've stayed here before and returned for another visit as it has everything we need for a staycation.

The pool and the park area are perfect for our son and the ability to bring our dog means we can have a full family holiday. It's a beautiful, peaceful place and we plan to visit again.

Great cottage.

The swimming pool was lovely and warm and the enclosure made it Welsh weatherproof. Many thanks to Rob for the cleaning between each private session to make it C-19 safe. The grounds are extraordinary with full acces to explore.

needs a bit of modernisation in the bath room and kitchen but it was very clean.

The table and chairs out the back need to be replaced along with the washing line. The boys loved the pool and the freedom of the site.

Grounds were superb and made for a really relaxing holiday. Swimming pool was great and nice and clean. All round a lovely relaxing holiday for us.

Would have visited Wales long before now had I realised what an amazing place it is with stunning scenery and beaches on par with the Caribbean without the crowds and palm trees .

Sandpiper cottage where we stayed was a lovely place in beautiful grounds all beautifully maintained everything we wanted and more heated swimming pool was a bonus ,dog friendly very helpful owner .All in all a great place for a vacation ,highly recommended

Very quite and peaceful. My son absolutely loved the swimming pool and me and my husband enjoyed the views and lovely quite surroundings. Owners were very friendly and helpful.

The holiday cottage was so nice we really enjoyed our stay and will defiantly be back.

dog friendly and the children loved the swimming pool . There was a tea tray on arrival with biscuits which was a big hit with the children. The cottage was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need including information on anything we could need right down to local takeaways. Dvds, books and games were availbale too they really have thought of everything. I have already been recommending to family and friends.

From the Sykes description and photographs of Sandpiper Cottage we concluded that the accommodation was small with limited space in the bedrooms.

This was not a problem for us and whilst the cottage was "compact" it was very cosy and comfortable. We had some cold weather but the cottage was always warm when we returned. From our point of view a shower cubicle would have been better but we were fully aware of the shower over bath and it posed no problems. Hosts were very welcoming, helpful and on hand if there were any problems but never intrusive.

The owners were very friendly and it was excellent for my husband who has Parkinson's to be able to walk our dogs every day in the easy accessible beautifull suroundings.

The holiday was everything Sykes said it was going to be with the exception of how the owners went out of their way to make it a special stay.

Nothing was too much trouble and we felt as if we were personal friends of theirs within a day or so.
