Swallow Cottage

Simply put the whole experience made it feel more like a home away from home.

Relaxed, comfortable and reassuringly so.

Lovely cottage imaculate beautiful grounds and lovely pool enjoyed by all our family

Swallow Cottage was lovely.

Spacious, clean and well equipped for our stay. The grounds were well kept and we enjoyed exploring, the pool was warm, we used it daily! The owners were very helpful and friendly, also being dog friendly accommodation was great. It made a really good base for getting out and about in the area, but equally we enjoyed the peace and quiet Maesgwynne offers when we weren't going out. We were sad to come home - and look forward to visiting again!

We have just returned from a week at Swallow cottage.

The owner of the cottages is such a lovely chap and lives within the grounds and therefore always around to answer any questions. His son also lives within the grounds and is very friendly too. We travelled out to visit different places most days but did stay at the cottage for a day or two. We played the games (provided in the cottage), used the pool, had a little walk to the lake. The pool is fantastic! It is lovely and warm, clean and plenty big enough for 8-10 people. You can book slots to allow your party an hour or two in the pool which we did on a couple of occasions. The pool is a minute or two walk from the cottages and therefore I’d recommend taking a dressing gown to wear to and from the pool. There are plenty of choices for ‘days out’ but they are a good 30 mins drive away. This wasn’t a problem for us as we loved the quiet location of the cottage and didn’t mind the drives out. The same applies for pubs/restaurants. The closest are a good 20 mins away. I’d have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to others and would love to return one day.

A very comfortable home from home.

No frills, but that meant less worry that little ones would wreck anything! Plenty of room for all of us- and particularly liked the freedom of the gated patio with 2 door access- we knew the little ones were safe. Big ones also enjoyed sitting there for barbecues. The pool was an absolute hit with all - especially the booking system allowing 2 hour slots for families- ideal and it worked very well. Nice big table in the kitchen/dining area, well provided with kitchen utensils, crockery etc. Beds were comfy with spotlessly clean bedding. 3 TV sets a bonus too. The grounds were beautiful, and so peaceful. The fishing lake was a really tranquil spot but we didn't catch anything! Well placed for visiting many local attractions/beauty spots. Overall we would highly recommend this property for a family group or a set of friends. A magical place.

A well equipped and comfortable cottage.

Great for families with young children. Lovely grounds.

A fantastic cottage, very spacious.

Very well equipped kitchen. The grounds are lovely and well kept, so peaceful. Having a heated swimming pool was brilliant, we used it daily. Would recommend and will definitely return.

Another great holiday at this lovely property.

The welcome goodies were much appreciated and the pumpkins and carving kits for the children was a really thoughtful touch, they loved doing them. Would highly recommend this property.

Lovely location, guests and break.

We would definitely return to this gorgeous holiday home. Thank you

It was absolutely fabulous, the setting was so beautiful we were really excited as soon as we drove down the drive.

The heated pool was lovely, and the walk all around the lake was so beautiful a real gem. Would highly recommend this place xx

We had a lovely weekend in Swallow Cottage.

The owners are welcoming and helpful, and the site is large with lots of space for children to play. The cottage was spotlessly clean and really well equipped.

Swallow cottage is ideal.

It's warm a great base, there were seven of us and it was very spacious. Would definitely go back although probably when pool is open later in year when a little sunnier for kids to swim. No complaints at all with our stay. All being on one floor was great for the father-in-law who has limited mobility.

A hidden gem, located in the most beautiful grounds.

Ideal for families with a lovely swimming pool, often we were the only ones in there. Lovely walks for dogs up towards fishing lake. Fishing available for small cost. The owners are super friendly and so accommodating. A lovely little play area for children, an outside hut with games and a pool table. Our cottage had a bbq and enclosed small outside space. We've been 3 times and would highly recommend (although not to too many, they would have no availability else). We will return, possibly even as a bigger party, renting more cottages. Drive is around 40 mins to Tenby where we would often venture for a beach day. The only thing that let us down was the weather but otherwise totally faultless. The owner even let our tractor mad little one sit in his tractor. Great people, great place.

Lovely and cosy accommodation.

Had everything we needed for a family including a child and a dog. Also nice to have the hot powerful showers after walking in the rain. Having multiple TVs also meant both adults and child were happy watching separate programmes. Loved how remote and peaceful it was.

A lovely cottage with all the facilities for a comfortable stay.

Great location and lovely hosts.

As an eight person multi generational family ranging from an octaganerian to a five year old we can highly recommend this property, plenty of room for us all.

The grounds are beautiful with plenty of walks for the dog, having the pool there is a big bonus the children were in their element. The owners are great and make you feel very welcome, the card and flowers for mom's birthday were a lovely touch. All in all a brilliant week at this property.

Beautiful cottage, stunning grounds.

Everything was perfect and as described. It was a fantastic base for exploring Wales - we managed trips to St David's and Tenby and lots of places to keep the children entertained. The pool was an amazing bonus!

The property was situated in a beautiful estate, off the beaten track and completed secluded (apart from the other properties in the group).

Very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped, although could do with more small plates and bowls. The grounds were beautiful, well maintained and with a lovely covered swimming pool (which was used nearly every day). There is a lovely walk down to the lake, which has benches and is very well stocked with fish. All in all, a fabulous place to explore South Wales

Nice people, nice place and exactly as advertised, defo recommending to try.

Great, if you want to have an unforgettable trip, choose here.

The accommodation was very comfortable and made it very easy to have a good relaxing holiday.

The swimming pool was better than expected and made a great addition to the house. We even managed to get a bit of fishing in on the lake. A few good fish were caught (and carefully released), which added to the overall experience. The fact that we were able to take our dogs was a huge bonus and what with the large wooded area suitable for walking them, this all added up to a really great holiday. The owners made every effort to ensure we had a good time and were the perfect hosts. A big thank you to Rob and Chris.

Lovely cottage in a great location.

The grounds of the property are stunning. Owners very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

The swimming pool was fantastic and the kids absolutely loved it.

On a down side the WiFi wasn’t great and at times the kids iPads kept disconnecting

It is a lovely cottage and has stunning views of the country side that you can walk around, the owners are so nice.

Highly recommend and would definetly go back.

The cottage was lovely.

Very spacious. Everything that we needed. The owners thought of everything. Swimming pool was a great bonus. Really enjoyed our holiday and would definitely recommend them. Thank you for a great holiday.

This place is amazing.

The pool was thoroughly enjoyed by all children and adults and the grounds are so well looked after. The cottage was clean and despite the summer, the heating was on every day which was very helpful as we needed to dry pool towels and swim suits Very comfortable cottage

Lovely setting, pool facilities excellent albeit slightly disorganised but very accommodating.

Owners Rob and Chris very friendly and helpful. Cottage lovely..better than we expected. Laid back..not too many rules but kept us all safe during pandemic lifting. Local pub now closed, but local spar is well stocked! Kitchen very well equipped will definitely return!

Photos doesn't do the place justice, the grounds are amazing.

Perfect family hideaway!

Our cottage had plenty of room for everyone.

There was plenty of things to do on the property. Swimming pool was amazing. Everything was very clean and kept clean. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Dogs were welcomed and it was perfect for them there. We could not fault anything at all. We hope to be returning again when there is availability.

Very comfortable cottage with all necessary facilities.

Great location for exploring this area of Wales. Lots of attractions for Adults and kids. Visit to New Quay on your must places to visit. Owners were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Great walk to the beautiful lake, dogs will love it here.

Lovely accommodation, very child friendly.

Felt very covid-aware and safe. Hosts exceptionally helpful, answered our queries and questions. Brilliant facilities - pool and gardens were enjoyed by all of us. Thank you so much for a lovely holiday.

The accommodation was perfect for our needs and the size of our party.

I would recommend this to any one

Would have liked better access to Lake.

Even using a mobility scooter wasn't accessible. Shame when its so beautiful.

We've had a fantastic time, the cottage was very clean, kitchen well equipped and the surrounding area was stunning.

Definitely have to come back in the summer when the pool is open. When we arrived at the cottage we have realized that we forgot to take our cot bed, that was not a problem and we have received a high chair and cot bed within 5 minutes of asking for it.

The owners were very welcoming and very friendly.

The cottage was very clean, there was plenty of utensils, pots and pans, for our big family. On arrival there was tea, coffee, biscuits, milk and even a dog bowl with treats and doggy bags. we really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the location, we would definitely return.

Rob and his family were very welcoming and have gone to enormous lengths to create fabulous grounds to wander in and the swimming pool was great.

The cottages are centrally located with the wonderful Pembrokeshire coast accessible in a 30 to 45 min drive. We can highly recommend Tenby (take pound coins for the car parks) and Saundersfoot. For a fabulous meal we can recommend the Mulberry restaurant in Saundersfoot for a special treat.

The pool on site was a good size, always clean and heated The owners we’re friendly and helpful.

We went as a family group and enjoyed our time together here.

We have been on Cottage holidays for over 25 years and this has to be the best.

8 people all ages had the best time. Swimming pool was enjoyed by all. Hubby loved the fishing in the private lake and has rekindled his love for fishing. The owners were lovely helpful people. We are definitely planning to go back to this beautiful area of Wales. 10 out of 10

owners greeted us as soon as we pulled up.

we had a Tesco delivery waiting for us .if i quiet get away is what your after this is your place. please take advantage of the grounds. the fishing pool was so good did not catch anything but had fun trying. heated pool was good used it everday. going to to beach Pendine is a must very clean. eat at the springwell inn food was fantastic, if you have a small appitate eat from kids menu.

I would highly recommend this property, the owners are lovely and very welcoming, ensuring we had a everything we needed.

Rob even arranged for the local pub to open the kitchen when we arrived to serve us food which we all appreciated after our long journey. The property was extremely comfortable, well equipped with everything, 'a home away from home', in a beautiful location, with plenty of walks and a large selection of activities to keep children and adults entertained.

Enjoyed our holiday.

Owners were very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely lake in the grounds that you can walk around so plenty of exercise for our dog. Swimming pool is a bonus and kept the big kids entertained.

We have been several years ago to the same place and it did not disappoint this time.

The cottages are in a beautiful setting. The children enjoyed the pool and the dog enjoyed the freedom of the estate. The whole setting is very peaceful and a good place to wind down.

Cottage holiday was good, swimming pool and play equipment was enjoyed by all.

great exploring the grounds and woods in a lovely rural setting. The only downside was flies in the kitchen and a fly electrocuter would have been very welcome. all other aspects of the cottage were very enjoyable.

Brilliant cottage , very well equipped .

Swimming pool was excellent . Very spacious cottage, with little extra left by owner so you could have a cup of tea or coffee ,with biscuits when you arrived .

The most beautiful place the owners and family so nice nothing to much trouble,we spent two weeks with wonderful weather ,the pool is the best the lake is great the fishing is hard but it is so nice and peaceful ,the walks in the wood are so nice the history of the place so interesting i could go on and on , so do yourselves a and go take a look if you don't like it there is something wrong with you TOM NASH

This property and it's owners are excellent.

Any problems sorted very quickly and efficiently. My friends and I would happily return to this property.

Nothing, we had a lovely time, the owners really looked after us well, we had two very elderly relatives with us 90 and 95 years and the owners went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed to make it comfortable for them.

They even provided wheelchairs and, because the weather was so bad, offered to let us stay on until the weather cleared at no extra cost. It was a beautiful location in huge grounds with lakes and outdoor covered heated pool, (although it wasn;t open this time of year), but we had a wonderful early morning and late evening walk around the grounds which was both invigorating and calming. A lovely pre spring break, just what was needed.

Beautiful and extremely well equipped cottage in stunning surroundings.

Lucky with the weather so got to use the pool too. Fab holiday. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great holiday location.

Peaceful and tranquil cottage in beautiful surroundings. Cottage met our specific needs perfectly. Everyone had a fantastic time and despite the Welsh weather we swam in the onsite pool - an added bonus.

Very friendly landlord.

It was a pleasant comfortable stay. Had swimming pool, pool table, bbq & TV. Great stay.

A lovely cosy cottage.

Had everything we needed and the owners were extremely accommodating and friendly. We had a lovely stay and would love to come and visit again.
