Fountain Folly

We absolutely loved this bungalow.

It was perfect for visiting the National Eisteddfod of Wales and the general area. Plenty of space for 3 of us. Clean, bright and well maintained.Had a warm welcome from the gardener when we arrived in Cymraeg. Ideal for families, friends and those with dogs. About 25 minute walk to the nearest beach along a quiet road. Cafe available at garden centre about a mile away.

The accommodation was better than expected.

The room throughout is not obvious from the photographs and especially the grounds around the cottage, which our dogs enjoyed immensely. The comfort throughout was excellent and there was very little missing that was needed to make the whole of the stay enjoyable. The only criticisms, which do not reflect on the property, is that the gate was too easy for our small dogs to get underneath and visit the lady next door on numerous occasions, until she helped out with a couple of boards. Our experience from years of staying in remote places is that the directions supplied to find the property are not good,as was the case with this property,and in general need work on them. It did seem a bit unusual for there not to be visitors book, and only relies on visitors leaving reviews. All in all a very enjoyable stay and a property we would not hesitate to visit again. Jim

what a lovely bungalow in a stunning location we had a very relaxed hoilday and the dog loved all the space in the garden and did not want to leave!

Everything we needed was there. Just a couple of very small problems the utility room tap is dripping and the patio table was not suitable for cups and glasses. Exremely comfortable and enjoyable property..

It was quiet and perfect for our dog with the enclosed garden and space for her to run . We would have enjoyed being outside - but the weather was unseasonably windy and cold for June ! Inside was cosy and warm !

Well equipped spacious property in a convenient location with great views.

Some of the interior is a little tired but mostly in good condition.

Lovely comfortable house, beds and pillows extremely so.

A few little niggles nothing major...lack of hand towels, extra bin bags and a bit more cutlery would all be nice. One or two cobwebs but again nothing major. However we all have a very good holiday, the books and games and lots of leaflets on the area were welcome, as were the Welsh cakes and milk, and apart from not being able to let our small dog off the lead in the garden because he would have escaped we would have go back.

The property could have been cleaner a lot of cobwebs, two lights not working (I changed the bulbs) needed more wood for log burner and the timer on boiler was out of sync, we had no hot water first day.

Despite this, the house was very comfortable, a home from home with everything in the kitchen you would need and a welcoming living area. Our 2 dogs loved the space to play and run around in the secure garden. You would need to be prepared to travel to see the surrounding areas but some beautiful beaches and coastal towns to visit. Would love this property to be nearer where we lived as would book it again if so.

Peaceful and totally relaxing in a really lovely well appointed bungalow. The property has everything you require. This was our 2nd stay, and we've already booked for our next visit!

Very comfortable with every attention to detail. We loved cooking in the well equipped kitchen and our two dogs had a great time in the large secure garden. In easy reach of sandy beaches and although we didn’t have the best of weather it was wonderful to return to such a warm welcoming beautiful home! Will definitely book again!! Thank you soooo much!

What a rare find, perfect cottage in a lovely location.

The house was spacious, warm, clean and beautifully furnished. The kitchen had all we needed and the coffee machine was a nice touch. Comfortable bed with quality bedding and good showers in both bathrooms. It was more than dog friendly with a handy stair gate to keep them on the tiled floors in the kitchen, which was great. The dogs had a lovely time in the evenings in the garden while we enjoyed a glass of wine and the view from the picnic bench. We enjoyed long walks from the door on the coastal path, but Cardigan and Newport were very close for a wander around and pub lunch on the inevitable showery days. Would highly recommend.

Spacious property and garden.

Not quite dog friendly for a little dog as no netting on five bar gate. Fabulous views and the Newport eateries we tried were excellent- if you can park as village residents fill car parks and street parking!

Overall it was fantastic.

Minor point - The rubbish and recycling instructions were confusing. I put some bins out (which I could find) on collection day then a team came along a bit later in the week. Worth just checking over the folder and being clearer on what we should be doing. But other than that easy to fix trivia - brilliant lovely stay super location! Thank you!

Lovely spacious bungalow.

Also a large and private garden with amazing views and perfect for our dog. Enjoyed nearby Newport Beach, cycling at Llys-y-fran reservoir and exploring local coast path/ bays. Pleased to re-read ‘Driving over lemons’ & had entertaining battles with ‘mega monopoly’. A great week, thanks.

Fantastic property, lovely presented inside.

Found everything you could need on a relaxing couple of days away. Loved being able to just see the sea and the barn swallow and bats kept us entertained in the garden all evening. Many thanks Julie Phil and Misty and Bob the dogs.

Beautiful setting Very safe for the dogs

A truly lovely property in a location that completely suited our needs.

We were so impressed by it that we booked a further stay later in the year whilst we were still there, and are now looking forward with anticipation.

I brought my disabled daughter with me on holiday the bungalow was easy to get her wheelchair around apart from the child gate separating the kitchen from the rest of the bungalow.

The only downside was that I couldn't find a plastic stool to put in the shower so she could shower herself.

Wonderful stay.

Very well equipped property with attention to detail. Dog friendly too with dog bed, blanket and treats provided. We used to live in the village and all friends that came to see us in Fountain Folly were very impressed with the place.

Would live here in a heartbeat.

Lovely cottage.

Quiet location. Great beach not far. Garden centre 5mins drive with cafe. The cottage had everything you could think of, catered for dogs with towels,bed , bowel and treats. The garden is amazing There was a clothes maiden but a washing line would be better One of the best cottages we have stayed in .

An amazing cottage which was so homely.

The setting was stunning with fabulous gardens it was such a beautiful place to stay We will definitely be back.

Very relaxing. When an issue came up regarding the kitchen tap, it was managed very well & swiftly by the representative of Coast & Country Holidays in arranging your maintenance/builder to visit & attend quickly. We would like to come back again.

Beautiful bungalow very clean, everything we needed for our stay, couldn’t find the recycling red and blue bags, so left recycling in carrier bags in blue box.

This cottage is absolutely lovely!

We’ve stayed in a different property for the last 6+ years so we were initially nervous about booking somewhere new. The property suited us down to the ground! The facilities are brilliant, the furnishings are beautiful and the whole place was spotless! The only negative to mention is that there weren’t any plates/cups/bowls for our little ones - would be nice to have a set of plastic/bamboo crockery so that it’s less worry. We absolutely loved our stay and there were tears when we left! Thank you for providing such a lovely place to stay <3

A lovely, well appointed bungalow in the village of Moylegrove.

A real home from home. The accommodation was warm, with plenty of room, comfortable beds,great showers. The garden was perfect for our 2 dogs!

Truly excellent as a quiet retreat within reach of the local attractions and secluded beauty spots in this area.

The cottage is beautifully clean and very well equipped, lacking little in the way of facilities and equipment, the minor exceptions perhaps being Freeview on the TV and the provision of a hair dryer. The location, just up the hill on the edge of Moylgrove, is blissfully quiet, with views across the valley. All in all, a lovely relaxing holiday

The garden wasn't secure enough for our dog.

Everything else was perfect and we had a lovely stay.

Fountain Folly was perfectly equipped for our festive break.

It was immaculately presented, well thought out, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is spectacular. We would very much like to return in Spring/summer to make full use of the secure garden and breathtaking views. Thank you very much for our stay
