Description

A modern, lodge-style cottage on the Offa’s Dyke Path, in the popular village of Pandy, six miles from the market town of Abergavenny.

Furnished in a modern style, with comfort in mind, this detached lodge is situated adjacent to the owner’s property and the perfect base for a romantic break for couples who wish to explore the Welsh border countryside of Monmouthshire and Herefordshire.

Accessed through its own garden, this cosy cottage is set on the ground floor and has one double bedroom with an en-suite shower room.

The open plan living area leads out onto a courtyard-style garden and patio, where you can look across to the instantly recognisable peak of Skirrid Mountain, a perfect view to enjoy whilst planning your day ahead over a morning cup of tea.

The Offa’s Dyke Path offers fabulous walks from your doorstep, which can be extended to the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) and Black Mountains with just a short drive.

Fishing can also be arranged on the owner’s private stretch of the River Honddu, which runs through Pandy.

The village boasts two pubs, so after a day exploring the area, you can unwind and enjoy the local village life.

Pay a visit to the bustling market town of Abergavenny, known as the Gateway to Wales, or take a trip over The Blorenge to the World Heritage Centre of The Big Pit National Coal Museum, a tribute to the industrial heritage of South Wales.

Take time out to explore the stunning Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) on foot or by bike, and the city of Cardiff is also within driving distance.

This lovely lodge-style cottage is perfect for a couple’s retreat, an ideal base to explore the myriad of walks, cycle trails and renowned restaurants in the local area.

Lovely, comfortable cottage - extremely warm, quiet, well equipped and well maintained with the friendly owner on site.

It’s in a beautiful location with so many interesting places to visit within a short drive . Nearby Abergavenny has an excellent market and a good range of shops and supermarkets. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and it’s certainly a cottage we would like to return to.

The Lodge is an absolute gem.

It's location is perfect for exploring the area and the Lodge itself is cosy and comfortable. It is very well equipped with everything you might need. The waterfall shower is fabulous and we slept very well due to the comfy mattress and the quiet nights. We were very lucky with the weather and loved sitting in the secluded garden. The high quality garden furniture made this even more relaxing and enjoyable. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, and it was so thoughtful of her to leave a bowl of water out for our dog ready for our arrival (and milk, tea, coffee and biscuits for us:).
