Rose Cottage

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in this beautiful cottage for a week in August.

On arrival we recieved a lovely welcome pack, the cottage was impeccably clean, We really can’t compliment the hosts and cottage enough, even the gentleman in the local shop was so friendly. We would go back in a heartbeat, My husband really did love the stickmen dotted around the farm, and the sheep were always pleased to see us :) Would highly recommend The Daffodil inn just down the lane for a 5star meal.

Louise and Terry were lovely hosts, making us feel comfortable from the start.

I left some clothes in the wardrobe upstairs and Louise very kindly got them posted to me. I thoroughly recommend and hope to come back!

We had a lovely stay at Rose Cottage.

Despite it's cosy feel absolutely everything we needed was there. The bed was super comfortable. The best sleep we have had in ages. I wished I'd asked where the mattress came from!. It even had air con.... The hot tub was just at the side, covered over for rainy days and a welcome after a day out visiting the area.tje hosts were helpful and friendly but left you be if you wanted and left a lovely welcome pack which was super handy as we forget milk!. You wouldn't regret choosing this cottage. Even had plenty of storage which is always a bonus.

Lovely cottage with a wonderful bed.

Kitchen equipped with appliances and cleaning products but only a small fridge with icebox freezer. Welcome gifts of milk, eggs, crisps and wine much appreciated. Stairs are difficult to navigate and beams upstairs are very low. Tall people could struggle. Electric reclining sofa is very comfortable. Bathroom is downstairs. Overall, a enjoyable stay. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely little cottage—it had everything we needed for a relaxing short break.

The location was perfect: tucked away just enough to escape the hustle and bustle of the seaside towns, yet still within easy reach of charming local villages with great pubs, restaurants, and shops. The cottage was well-equipped with all the essentials, plus some thoughtful extra treats that made our stay even more special. The hot tub was a real highlight—just what we needed after an afternoon of exploring and indulging in delicious local ice cream. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to return someday!

Rose Cottage was absolutely lovely, we wish we could have stayed Longer.

Rose Cottage was the most perfectly peaceful and welcoming location to unwind with my little dog.

Just a short drive to beautiful beaches, woodland walks and historic sites, with a handy, local, circular walk for the morning before sitting out in the sunny little garden breakfast. The night sky is stunning, with zero light pollution and a delight to view from the hot tub. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe too. The cottage is spotless, cosy, comfortable and well equipped in all areas. Thank you Louise and Terry for the welcome, the lovely treats on arrival and the local information. There is so much more to explore in the area. Wren and I would love to return.

Lovely stay in this relaxing cottage on a farm.

Hot tub was great and in a secure garden for the dog. Loads of great walks and a village pub/ shop in walking distance. Hosts were really friendly and helpful.

Great week in rose cottage, had a lovely romantic break and bed is so comfy.

It’s lovely and cosy for 2, great hot tub and lovely surroundings. We’d highly recommend it for exploring mid and South Wales. We’ll definitely be back some time to visit again.

This holiday was everything we hoped for.

The cottage was as beautiful as described and really felt like a little peace of heaven. The bed very comfortable and the little welcome bits were a lovely touch. Owners very helpful and friendly Hot tub was very well enjoyed each evening after our busy days out It was well-situated to enable us to get out to lots of different places within hour drive and see this wonderful country. Definitly recommend and will be booking to return

Absolutely perfect

We had a very restful stay at Rose Cottage, the location was a fantastic base to explore the castles, prehistoric sites and coastline of west Wales.

Our hosts were very welcoming, the cottage clean and cosy, the bed and sofa very comfortable, and small touches like the fluffy bathrobes to wrap up in after a dip in the hot tub made it all the more special. Thank you for a wonderful 10 night stay - we are looking forward to coming back soon.

The only thing that would be beneficial would be lighting in Hot Tub area.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely rural area. Inside the cottage is tastefully done with lovely little thoughts such as extra towels and Dressing Gowns for the Hot Tub. Blanket and bowel for the dog etc.

Nice and welcoming hosts and gifts on arrival.

Cottage was quirky, exactly as we expected. Nice little patio which could be made more usable to catch the afternoon sun - although we made it work. Lovely and quiet location with great walks and beaches nearby, really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely come back again.

Beautiful surroundings

A lovely stay at Rose Cottage, home from home everything you need for a nice relaxing break which we needed and got.

Stairs were a bit scary but when you got used to them they were ok, A lovely Quiet, Comfy, clean Cottage really loved the reclining chairs so relaxing, also the bed like sleeping on a cloud. The Hot Tub was situated just down from the cottage which was lovely artificial grass as you go in which was lovely, Solar lights around the top of the fence, Just a suggestion could of done with a bit more light (perhaps a security one or a on/off one) as it was very dark in the night……All in All though we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the near future….. Thank you to the Hosts……

Cottage was immaculate grounds are beautiful and every thing just a short car journey away. Handy little shop and the restaurant just at the bottom of the drive way in to the farm. Cottage is small but has everything you need. Stairs to the amazing bed are not for the faint hearted but did not cause us a issue just think before you step. No negatives from us really enjoyed our stay. Thankyou.

Great little cottage , added bonus of the hot tub , ideal size for two people lovely and clean and comfortable.

The attention to detail is very impressive and Louise and Terry made us feel very welcome.

Fabulous cottage, very comfortable, massive comfy bed and new very comfortable reclining settee.

Lovely private hot tub. Very dog friendly. Everything was spotlessly clean. Wern Newydd Farm is such a lovely peaceful place to sit back and relax, which was just what we needed, watch the Red Kites gliding overhead and the night sky is spectacular with stars. Would definitely return here!

Lovely little cottage on a gorgeous little farm.

Absolutely spotless, very comfy bed and good facilities including a washing machine and tumble drier. Great little shop nearby with very friendly staff. In a nutshell, we had a lovely relaxing break in this lovely, peaceful farm setting. Would highly recommend.

The stairs are a nightmare but was advertised as not disable friendly which we are not the cottage at the bottom of farm is much more appropriate for what we would require .

The staircase to the bedroom is narrow and care should be taken when using it.

The hospitality was fab and the complimentary pack was much appreciated. This cottage suited us as we are not the tallest of people. We would certainly use this cottage again.

The cottage was spotless, comfortable and had brilliant outdoor private garden perfect for bbqs and use of the hot tub. The owners were most helpful with recommending local walks for us to take our dog. Everything that you needed in a self-catering cottage was there and it was sparkling clean. We will look forward to booking again!

The cottage was immaculate. Loved the spiral staircase up to the bedroom, although took a bit of getting used to, very comfortable king sized bed and plenty of storage. Well equipped kitchen. Hot tub was a new experience for us and we loved it. We were made to feel very welcome. Thank you.

The cottage was well proportioned with some modern conveniences such as aircon and tv that connects to netflix and amazon prime.

The king size bed had some lovely wooden carvings and plenty of room for storing clothes and suitcases in the bedroom. The Daffodil inn at the top of the farm served a lovely dinner too. The broadband speed wasnt great but that was the only thing which would have improved our stay.

Louise and Terry ensured that Rose Cottage had everything you could want for a comfortable stay and we were especially impressed with the attention to little details, which made our holiday so memorable.

We had not visited Ceredigion before but were bowled over by how beautiful this area is and how friendly everyone is. Rose cottage is the perfect holiday retreat and a big thank you too from Winnie, our Norfolk terrier. We cannot wait to return!

The owners of the property were very friendly and welcoming.

A bottle of wine and some toffee waffles were waiting for us on our arrival. The local countryside was beautiful. The shop at the end of the lane was well stocked with lots of vegan and ethical products. We really enjoyed our holiday.

Fantastic well equipped small cottage, ideal for 2.

The hot tub was very private & there was a table & chairs for you to enjoy . The cottage is set in a lovely quiet area within easy walk to the shop & pub. Louise & Terry were very helpful & nothing was too much trouble . We would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday.

It was so quiet and peaceful there want to just have a rest Terry Louise were really nice and helpful the cottage had ever thing we needed for a week of rest the daffodil pub at the end of the track was lovely and the food was great over all a brilliant week in rural wales will be coming back next year

Don't think we've ever stayed in a cleaner accommodation... Ever! Great local amenities, great peaceful rural setting and fantastic, friendly hosts. Would 100% recommend to all!

Perfectly located cottage.

The owners were friendly and accommodating with a wealth of local knowledge on what to do and where to go. The pub down the track was only a 5 minute walk and was very friendly and the food was delicious. The area has stunning scenery and a good deal of walks / hikes. Highly recommended we had a great time.

The hot tub is a good idea but having it fenced in with no decor felt boxed in and boring.

The drive down to the farm had numerous pot holes which needed attention

This is a brilliant cottage on a very quiet smallholding.

The cottage itself was immaculately clean with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were friendly and welcoming yet left us alone during our stay - a perfect balance. There is a shop and a pub/restaurant in the village, both of which were excellent. The area itself gives the best of a country and coastal holiday. The roads were a pleasure to drive along as they were so quiet.

It was really good value for money

We had a very relaxing week with our two dogs.

The location is very peaceful and Louise and Terry were very friendly and helpful. The cottage is small and cozy, and equipped with everything you need for a stay. The hot tub was very welcome after a days walking and exploring. There are plenty of dog walks and being out of season we were able to take them to the beaches at Tenby and Aberystwyth. For dog friendly places to eat, the Fuschia Cafe in Tenby does an awesome cooked breakfast, the Bunch of Grapes in Newcastle Emlyn is a good pub with a friendly atmosphere, good food and a pint and allows dogs inside. The Daffodil also allows dogs in the bar and provides blankets and treats for four legged visitors. Our one issue was the ceilings were quite low and my husband struggled with the doors and stairs so it might not be the best choice for people over 6ft.

Both of us and our 2 dogs settled in quickly to a week of beautiful Welsh late summer weather.

Rose Cottage was extremely comfortable, well-appointed and thoughtfully prepared. We were received personally and although we knew our hosts were very nearby, we were undisturbed and independent. The stairs are nifty, but tricky but our private hot-tub was our reward after a day's hike. We walked sections of the coastal path, as well as Teifi, Aeron river valleys. We found good circular walks near Cenarth, Cilgerran, New Quay and especially Aberaeron, plus lovely tea room stops - don't miss the stunning National Trust beach at Penbryn. Retail therapy is hard to find, but for a breakfast/brunch we recommend the farm shop & bistro at the Moody Cow.The Daffodil owner-managed pub at the end of the farm road serves high quality food most evenings; other dog-friendly pubs are a fair drive away and it's best to double-check on online details, as we found they were unreliable at this time of year.

The peace and quiet we needed after a few hard months.

Louise and Terry were there to help if we needed them which is a good thing, as so often we have felt on our own when we have been to other properties. Fantastic place and will be back.

A lovely peaceful 2night stay.

The host were lovely when we got there and told us everything we needed to know. Hot tub was amazing to be in even though it rained the 2 days we was there. If you want peace and quiet and to relax this is the place to go.

The owners Louise and Terry were most helpful and informative of the surrounding area, and went that extra mile to make our stay a memorable one.

Hats off to both of them. Will certainly return.

Distance from rise cottage to pub isn’t one mile a lot shorter a mile could put people off booking,saying there is a hair dryer and DVD player would have been helpful to know but not in the advert.

Also would have been good to see a picture of the lodge that is also at the farm
