Description

This detached, architect-designed bungalow offers comfortable accommodation and lovely views over the garden to the river Teifi. St Dogmaels is a quaint village at the border of Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire.

Close to the property are the ruins of St Dogmaels Abbey, one of Pembrokeshire's most beautiful historical attractions. Nowadays the coach house is a Heritage Centre and there is also a tea room where you can enjoy fresh, homemade produce. As well as the abbey, there is a working water mill and choice of riverside inns and restaurants, together with St Dogmaels award winning weekly local produce market.

Cardigan castle, Cardigan town and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path are all within walking distance.

The well-kept garden offers a paved seating area, perfect for al fresco meals and for admiring the views towards the river Teifi estuary. Poppit Sands is just a couple of miles away and there are plenty of other beaches in the area such as Patch, Mwnt, Aberporth, Newport Sands and Tresaith.

Had a fantastic stay at Gellifor.

Cottage and views from garden were exactly as described. Perfect setting to explore surrounding countryside and beaches which our dog loved. Being at the top of a hill could be an issue for someone with mobility issues apart from that perfect.

We spent a lovely week at Gellifor, in St.

Dogmaels. The bungalow had everything we needed, and a lovely garden for us and the dogs, with a great view of the river estuary. Neighbours were also friendly, and parking at this address is easy. Some places closer to the village centre seem to not have much in the way of parking. There are lots of walks possible, directly from the bungalow on various footpaths to be discovered, as well as further afield while visiting sites and places of interest. The right hand side of the beach at Poppit Sands is great for the dogs, though the parking there is a bit expensive if not staying for the day...go after 7pm when it's free, if just wanting a dog walk.

Visited numerous times before and the the bungalow and area.

Had a really lovely time. Furniture in the lounge is getting a bit tired now but beds are amazing and kitchen is really well fitted out. Will definitely be back
