North Beach at The Hideaway

The hideaway was clean and tidy and in a good location to walk into the town/beach.

We appreciated the extra items that were left for us to use. Highly recommend this place it was the best place we have booked through Sykes cottages

We were a family of 4 and we stayed for 3 nights at the North Beach cottage in The Hideaway.

It was indeed a lovely little cottage, very clean and just a couple of minutes away from the coast. There is parking available for 1 car and EV charging point is within the Sainsbury's store just a few meters away. The small little details such as a ready to use kitchen with essential supplies, the board games and puzzles to bring to life when we had hail storm and a good array of books. The bedrooms were clean, light and airy with a lot of storage space. The only flaw we can think of is the floor boards are quite creaky, that might need a little look into. Overall, a lovely cottage and we would like to come back here along with maybe another family.

The Hideaway North Beach, Tenby is a perfect for a small family.

It has all you need to feel relaxed especially after a long day of an entertaining kids. It has a lovely open living and dining space for the evening meals if you want to cook and eat in which we did. The kitchen has everything you need and extra. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy, although the upside down living threw us a a little. The only improvement if any would be to extend the check out time as we checked in at 4pm on day of arrival so having to check out at 9:30am on day of departure was a bit too much especially if you are having to take bins out and strip bedding. Apart from that I would highly recommend this place.

North Beach at The Hideaway was one of the best properties that we have ever stayed in.

Not only was the holiday house extremely clean, spacious and warm, there was the provision of lots of kitchen extras (washing up liquid, dish washer tablets etc) that we haven't had from other holiday lets. The kitchen had everything that you would need if you wanted to cook and we felt that the owners really wanted us to have a good time here. It was so close to the town and with its own parking space, we couldn't have asked for more. We hope very much to return again soon.

A peaceful retreat very close to the centre of Tenby but away from the hustle and bustle.

The accommodationd was spacious, clean and comfortable with the added bonus of a parking space right outside. Would not hesitate to recommend this property and hope to return there ourselves

This property is absolutely perfect!

It has everything you need as a family - space, comfy beds, a washing machine!! The location is wonderful being just a 5 minute walk to the centre of Tenby and the beach. Also immaculately clean. Looking forward to a return visit next year!

We stayed in North Beach at the Hideaway in March of 2025.

The property was very clean and comfortable with just a short walk into Tenby. It was ideal for two couples with the property having two bathrooms. The owners went out of their way to help with two requests with no problem at all, and we can thoroughly recommend the Hideaway for a stay and hope to return at some point.

Very well equipped property. Comfortable beds. Easy walk into centre of Tenby whilst still being in a peaceful and quiet location. Good to have selection of books and jigsaws for our use. Loved the walk-in wardrobe and sizeable ensuite bathroom in the main bedroom.

An extremely comfortable property in an excellent position

Had a lovely new year break at North Beach, it was bigger than expected and very clean, showers in both bathrooms were good and powerful, and beds ok, the king was a little soft but we have a firm bed so it’s all subjective.

Considering the proximity to town it was very quiet. It had everything needed to self cater, although we ate out mostly, the only thing I would say is maybe a few pictures in the lounge as it was quite bare, but having said that we wouldn’t hesitate to return. The town is very friendly, we can recommend the BillyCan, food was amazing and if you enjoy walking and fancy a challenge the walk to Saundersfoot from Tenby is amazing, we enjoyed it so much we walked back as well!! If your in the area I can definitely recommend.

a very precious box of earrings.Alas I have not heard back so assume she didn't find them. I told her that we thought it was a wonderful place to stay. A lovely cottage and ideal position to the town and beach.

So close to town and beaches but away from the hustle and bustle . A perfect place to stay and forget the world and have a relaxing time. It's so good we have already booked next year's holiday can't wait to be back there. It is a home from home thank you to Gareth and Emily

Lovely stay with two children here.

Location was excellent and could walk to the beach in ten minutes. No worry about car parking which was the biggest plus point! Great to have two bathrooms too. Will recommend to family.

This complex is ideally situated for walking to and from the nearby harbour and beach - but is also very quiet and peaceful.

We have made a cpl of small suggestions for improvement direct with the owners (who seem very nice and approachable) and they have assured us these will be taken onboard. We are in awe of what they have achieved here in such a short space of time - converting a hotel into several apartments. The apartments would benefit from a couple of supportive/higher chairs in the lounge (for older people) and a better quilt on the main bed - but nothing spoiled our holiday and given that I suffer with my back I did find the mattress very comfortable and supportive. We had a fabulous time and have already booked to go back next year - this time trying a ground floor apartment with an outside area within the same complex. Overall we really cannot fault it and would thoroughly recommend it!

We stayed at South beach Hideaway last year which was really enjoyable, North beach was just as good but a lot bigger, the apartments are spotlessly clean, really well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms, everything you need for a relaxing break, and a real bonus is being able to leave the car safely behind and instead be able to have a gentle stroll into town and enjoy everything that Tenby offers, for as long as you want, without the fear of a parking ticket.

Gareth, Emily and the staff deserve a big thank you for The Hideaway, We’ve already booked for next year and are very much looking forward to it already.

Perfect location.

An easy walk into town, close to takeaways, restaurants, station & supermarket. Parking is easy. There is an handy bench outside for changing boots! Apartment is well maintained, very clean, spacious and comfortable. Bedrooms are on the ground floor, we found they got a bit chilly but you can adjust the radiators to heat the rooms if needed. Bathrooms are really nice with excellent showers. Towels a bit small and I was glad I bought extras from home. I would also bring a blanket if coming again in chilly weather. Living area and kitchen are lovely. Kitchen well equipped (just could have done with a colander for cooking pasta!). Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquids, kitchen roll provided. You just need to bring loo roll. We didn’t use washing machine but there was washing powder provided too. Nice large fridge freezer. Check in time was a little late and we felt check out time was a bit early. No facilities for recycling. Area was very peaceful and quiet. Overall an absolutely lovely place to stay - we wish we could have stayed longer, and I would definitely use this accommodation again when visiting the area.

The location was perfect, a short walk to the beach and the town, but still very quiet.

We couldn’t really fault the accommodation, we previously stayed next door in the Southbeach hideaway, but this was twice as large.

The only thing wrong was the oven wasn’t working as the previous guests hadn’t let the owners know, so we could only use the hob and microwave for cooking . Also the heating is very efficient so we had to turn the radiators down or off as we aren’t used to the warmth settings.

We love staying here so close to the town but away from the noise.

The property is really a “home from home” spacious and comfortable in close proximity to the beaches, shops and restaurants.

I almost selfishly didn’t want to recommend this accommodation so we’d be able to make sure we could book North Beach next time we come to Tenby.

But that wouldn’t be fair. This place is an absolute gem and we had the most amazing stay. The owners were so helpful and accommodating and thank you for the milk in the fridge (as well as all the other lovely thoughtful touches) - we were very pleased to have a cuppa!

We had a great stay in Tenby at North Beach, The Hideaway.

The property is spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. It's less than a 10 min easy walk from the beach, town, shops and restaurants with parking on site. The beds are comfy and the showers work. Communication with the owners was easy and they responded quickly to a very minor problem with the shower. Whats not to like? We will be back!

The Hideaway is a modern apartment well equipped for 4 people.

5 star comfort We stayed the 2nd week in June.Proximity to the town was a bonus.Car put to bed .The batteries on the fire alarm were low,resulting in a loud bleep from time to time,Emily the co owner was quick to resolve . Everything else was perfect The hosts even provided a second parking place.Wo uld definitely stay again

It’s a lovely property!

The bedrooms downstairs remain lovely and cool on those hot days. The facilities were perfect for us. The TV and wifi meant that the kids could chill out in front of their films after a busy day at the beach. The kitchen provides everything you need for self-catering (even a steal to sharpen the knives!). There is a co-op 2 minutes away which was very handy indeed. The proximity to the beach is a real positive with two kids in tow (a short 5 minute walk to North beach and 10 minutes to castle beach). The parking worked out really well with the reserved space and it was always quiet. Thank you for finding and sending on my daughters phone that she left behind! We will definitely return to Tenby and most likely will book at the hideaway again.

Situated so near everything and was glad to get home at the end of the day after driving to all the sites like St David's and Pembroke and Ramsey and Skoma loved every minute of it.

A lovely apartment close to the town centre and close to the beech.

The apartment was clean and welcoming making our stay feel like home from home. A very quite location to relax and explore Tenby at its best. Will rebook this apartment any time of the year.

THE OWNERS WENT OUT OF THERE WAY TO MAKE THE HIDEAWAY COMFFORT AND WECOMING ,LITTLE THINGS LIKE A FAN WHICH WAS NEEDED.

The property was in a perfect location, a ten minute walk to the town of Tenby, where there was shops, pubs and restaurants.

Very comfortable spacious house, very clean. The one thing that we missed was the welcome pack of Milk, tea, etc which we have always had on arrival at other cottages, but we were left a packet of biscuits.

No fresh milk for our arrival very unusual .

Couldn't fault it. Comfortable beds and soft pillows. Cosy and warm. Decorated beautifully throughout. If I was to be critical I would say the downstairs could do with a fresh coat of paint but that's just me being picky. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend and return later this year!!

Tenby has a lot to offer for everyone.

The apartment was in an excellent location although a five minute walk to the town the area was quiet.

Spacious rooms, had everything we needed, easy parking, 5 min walk to the beach, spotlessly clean, would highly recommend!

North Beach, Hideaway is an ideal location in Tenby.

It's quiet but within a very short distance of all that Tenby has to offer. The accommodation was very clean and well presented with almost everything you need for your holiday. There were a couple of minor issues during our stay which we raised with the owner and they were attended to very promptly. I left feedback on the comments sheet before leaving and received an email the following day addressing these. I would be very happy to return to this holiday home, the town of Tenby and the magnificent Pembrokeshire coast.

Quite dirty.

Settee was filthy and had to be cleaned. Shortage of crockery...one eggcup between 4 people! 3 mugs! 3 soup bowls! Fanlight windows couldn't be opened but we're filthy too. Had to ask for chopping board! Both showers had fittings broken. Thick dust behind doors and on mirrors. Extra time was supposed to have been allowed for cleaning! Obviously not. Terrible green fire escape light in main bedroom which kept us awake. Would definitely not return.

Comfortable , very clean and shiny.

Warm and bright. Easy walk to the sea and town. Useful to have a car parking space. Only slight problem was the light in the main room at night, the green light over the fire escape was very amplified at night but bearable; however next door left their outside light on all the first night and that was very bright with the light creeping around the edge of the blind. Blackout blind and / or curtain would have helped. Owners very helpful when we left a laptop behind - it was exactly the same shape and slate grey as the placemats so got overlooked !

Never been to Tenby before so didn’t know what to expect.

Now the place you stay has an enormous impact on your experience. On arrival we were astounded at the size, cleanliness and facilities on offer at the property. The location felt safe and was ideal being less than five minutes from both the north beach and the small seaside harbour of Tenby. The north beach is one of the cleanest I’ve ever visited. The property is very well equipped and ideal for either couples or a family of four with each bedroom having its own bathroom. Even during these unprecedented times and despite the COVID-19 restrictions, we still had a wonderful break. The owners are easy to contact and very helpful. Location, location, location means everything and when we visit Tenby again the Hideaway will be our first choice of accommodation.

Refer to reference COR-180889-CF The problem was not rectified we had to use the twin room which was not ideal, we cut our holiday short and came home after 5 nights The en-suite in the main bedroom does not have privacy glass this being on the ground floor overlooking the driveway the window blind had to be left down permanently The sofa in the lounge had not been cleaned there were crumbs and biscuit wrappers under the cushions I have photos of you need to see them.

The blinds in the roof windows were broken You really need to have this property inspected

Lovely place to stay, a real home from home

Very comfortable place , great location for Tenby town and beaches just few minutes walking no need to use car .

Only downside to accomadition not great view s from windows as your in a courtyard otherwise great place .

Property was exactly as described, clean and well equipped.

Flexible arrival time was very helpful and the owners had left the makings of a simple breakfast, unexpected and very thoughtful . Sykes were very helpful and efficient in organising our last minute booking.

Everything was delightful with the property very clean and comfortable, the only problem we had with is because it is an upside down house there was no toilet upstairs and the stairs were steep and because we are OAP’s it was a bit of a struggle getting up and down the stairs.

Apart from that it is a great property.

The only downside of this property is the green fire escape light that shines like a traffic light throughout the night in the master bedroom.

I appreciate it's importance but it's a little bright for a bedroom.

We have been to a number of Sykes cottages holidays and by far the best one was the hideaway in Tenby ,for us it had everything, we intend to return next year but maybe a little later in the year when Caldey island is open.

The property had everything we needed including surprise Christmas decorations.

Location is very close to the lovely town of Tenby, just a few minutes walk, also the beach for walks. Surrounding area is wonderful. Very enjoyable week.
