An historic Mansion house set in some 10 acres of gardens approximately half a mile from the A40 between Llandeilo and Carmarthen in the Towy Valley.
The Gardens contain a Cloisters, a Yew tunnel and regimented formal kitchen and fruit gardens. There is also a small woodland walk and a large pond.
The Mansion House has seen many construction stages and has been rebuilt on at least 2 occasions.
Facilities at Aberglasney include a cafe and shop, the latter also selling plants raised in the gardens. The cafe offers alfresco dining overlooking the large pond and has a wide and varied menu to enjoy.
Aberglasney is open to the public every day except Christmas Day and makes for a great day out in the heart of Carmarthenshire.
The gardens at Aberglasney are also very close to the Botanical Gadren of Wales – also well worth a visit.
If you are looking for an alternative place to dine, some 1.8 miles east along the A40 you will find The Cottage Inn on your right hand side, which offers a choice of home produced beef and lamb dishes, homemade lasagnes, steaks, curries and much more, plus a selection of real ales.
