Newport Sands

At over a mile long, Newport Sands is a popular beach at all times of the year. This sandy beach in Pembrokeshire, backed by large sand dunes sits on the northern bank of the Nevern Estuary opposite the town of Newport in North Pembrokeshire.

Newport Sands is ideal for launching boats from trailers, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking and due to its aspect – snuggled between two high headlands and is usually calm and protected during the summer months. There is plenty of space for sunbathing and beach games and rarely does the beach get so busy that you cannot find a space to sit, relax and enjoy the glorious views.
