“Owners only concern was the recycling and rubbish collection.”
Never got to meet them in person. Heating on a timer and although we turned down the thermostat in the hall to zero it still came on every morning when it was 27 degrees outside in Awful smell in the kitchen cupboards with some kind of anti insect repellent in a bowl where the crockery was kept. Only one fire alarm seen in the hall didn’t see another and couldn’t see a carbon monoxide detector either in a large 3 bed roomed bungalow. Musty smell throughout which has been tried to be masked with multiple diffusers . Multiple old cushions on the beds and sofas that have seen better days. Water pressure to the shower is very low. Cheap low quality kettle. towels and no non stick pans other than a wok No instructions given for the oven, hob or washing machine had to work it out myself. Normally when we have booked other self catering accommodation a manual is available with all necessary information required. No base was available for the outside umbrella. NO FAN available to use on the hottest week for 50 years. She did message us and hoped we weren’t too hot but no mention of a fan. Won’t be returning
We take great pride in preparing the property to a high standard for each guest, supported by our cleaning team and reflected in the many positive reviews we regularly receive. The property was cleaned and checked shortly before your arrival, and we always aim to ensure it is welcoming, fresh, and comfortable.
As we are not based locally, we are not always able to meet guests in person; however, we remain available throughout each stay to assist where needed. The diffusers within the property are intended to enhance freshness, and the item noted in the cupboard is a natural product used to help maintain that environment. Your comments have been noted, and we will review these areas to see where further improvements can be made, particularly around guest information and in-property guidance.
