“Ivy’s Way shepherds hut is an absolute must to stay in!”

The location is situated in the countryside with gorgeous views. Having a field of highland cows right outside your door is just magical! The drive to the hut is gorgeous and extremely easy to get to. I chose this place mainly because it has a private enclosed area that my fur baby could roam freely in. I was worried as I arrived because I wasn’t sure how secure the fence would be but it’s extremely secure even for small pets who like to squeeze through gaps (like mine) Me and my partner were able to relax in the hot tub without worry of the dog. The hot tub was also a show stopper. I love that this hot tub was level with the decking. It’s so much easier to step down into it. One thing to mention which I did see in other reviews, the hot tub has some jets which currently weren’t working. One review mentioned this last year so I had hope it would’ve been fixed by our visit but it wasn’t. The hut itself was clean and tidy. The bedding was insanely comfortable and the little shelving units with decor were such a homely touch. There was a pint of milk in the fridge with tea, coffee, sugar and waffles (very tasty) I bumped into one of the family members who runs the holiday park (I think) he was ever so lovely and polite. I wish I would’ve made use of the log burner and outdoor fire pit but it was quite warm so there wasn’t need. Just a note that upon arrival if you choose to use the burner you can purchase a log kit for £10 if you contact the hosts. I found the recommendations of places to visit very helpful. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will be back (I wish I booked more nights) I highly recommend this stay to others.
