    “A lovely and clean lodge with an out standing view.”

    Everything you could need in a well equipped kitchen. Tv reception not always clear, but didn’t bother us as we didn’t need tv. Hot tub was a perfect way to relax

The property

The Larches is an inviting single-storey lodge nestled in the heart of Llanidloes, Powys, with spectacular views of the lush countryside only a step away.

Inside, the property is full of charm, with light furnishings contrasting beautifully with the lodge’s wooden interior, allowing each room to flow into the other seamlessly.

The lodge sleeps up to four people so is ideal for a couple or a small family getaway.

Upon entering the property, there is a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, featuring an electric oven with gas hobs, an integrated microwave and a concealed fridge, the living area is comprised of a sofa, a plush armchair, a TV and an electric fire, perfect for unwinding after dinner or a long walk.

There is a beautifully decorated bedroom with notable vaulted ceilings, a king-sized bed which is zip/link and can be made into a twin upon request, a TV and the spectacular views can be viewed from the three-wide window directly opposite the bed.

The second bedroom features a double bed, a TV and drawers for storage.

Each bedroom has its own en-suite, one of which features a walk-in shower, whilst the other has a bath with a shower overhead perfect for soaking in.

Both en-suites include a single basin and WC and have large stone-tiled walls in keeping with the property’s connection to the outdoors.

Outside, there is a veranda with decking which leads to vast views of Llanidloes’ countryside, these views can be enjoyed from a choice of two outdoor seating areas, where a picnic or drinks can be enjoyed in the sun, or from the bubbling hot tub where relaxation is only a switch away.

Guests at The Larches can use the off-road parking situated outside of the property, with space for two cars, you can leave yours parked and set off for the day on foot.

The Firs and The Larges are two luxurious and thoughtfully built holiday lodges resting in Van near Llanidloes, Powys. This wonderful collection offers single-storey, open-plan accommodation boasting truly breath-taking views across the rolling Welsh countryside, off-road parking and covered hot tub, an idyllic setting for couples, families or friends looking to admire the beauty of Wales. The nearby Clywedog Reservoir offers ample walking and cycling routes as well as stunning views across the water and an insight into the area’s history at the nearby Bryntail Lead Mine Buildings. Continue the historic excursion and visit the nearby Llanidloes to tour its museum or to visit the Charter Market which has been held in the town since 1280; or venture further afield to visit the dramatic Powis Castle and to cross the border to explore historic towns like Ludlow and Shrewsbury. Those looking to experience the coast can also take a scenic drive across to Aberystwyth where you can admire its spectacular castle or roam the shores of its beach, if you’re lucky you might even spot the resident dolphins in Cardigan Bay. The market town of Llanidloes nestles on the eastern slopes of the Cambrian Mountains, with access to some of the most unspoilt and undiscovered scenery both Wales and the Welsh/Shropshire Borders have to offer. Locally, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, with walking, cycling, riding, fishing, tennis, golf, swimming and shooting all available within 10 miles. Further afield, but still within easy touring distance, are a host of attractions: Powis Castle (National Trust), with its world famous gardens, is just 20 miles away; the Welsh Coast, with its fine beaches, is less than an hour’s drive; Rhayader and the Elan Valley are 40 minutes away; the Shropshire towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury are within easy reach, as are the popular North Wales destinations of Llangollen and Snowdonia.
