A lovely house with.

plenty of room for a large family gathering.. Plenty to do and see in the area. Not fun very popular! Thoroughly recommended.

This is a beautiful house with a huge lawned area which is ideal for big groups or children to play games on.

We didn't use the hot tub but the outdoor seating area was perfect for a large group to socialise in. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable (in one or two rooms the washers on the taps need replacing). The dining room comfortably seated our group of 14. We cooked every night and could have done with some bigger pans, more pan lids and some larger serving bowls and it might be wise to take your own tea towels as we could only find 1. It was a very hot week and the top floor rooms got very hot - some fans would help if left in the cupboards. The smells from the cowshed behind didn't bother us but that and the associated flies are worth mentioning. Overall we had a fantastic time in this lovely house and would thoroughly recommend this property.

A fantastic country house which was ideal for our wedding party to relax and unwind in.

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous four-day break at Rhandregynwen Hall with ten of our friends who were there to celebrate our wedding at nearby Whittington Castle. The spacious and airy bedrooms have delightful views and feature large double/kingsize beds with fresh white linen and very comfortable mattresses, so each couple enjoyed a very refreshing sleep. The six bedrooms we used had the convenience of all being en-suite with great bathrooms. This meant there was no queuing or sharing facilities to get ready on the big day. There were a couple of additional twin bedrooms and bathrooms too, so if our party had been larger they would still have been easily accommodated. The spacious kitchen was very well equipped, the dining room comfortably seated everyone and the two lounges were very cosy. In fact most of my friends remarked how beautifully relaxing and homely the whole house felt. We used the very large hot tub Jacuzzi every day and the grounds were beautifully maintained and illuminated with twinkly lights during the evening, which added to the romantic atmosphere. The rural location of the property is excellent as we could play music, sing along and rest easy knowing that there were no neighbours to disturb with our late-night chatter. There was a lot of parking space at the front of the property to accommodate all of our vehicles and plenty of turning space too, which was very handy when the stretch limo arrived to take us to the ceremony venue. The layout of the house is quite quirky (which we all loved) with gorgeous exposed beams and oak floorboards. There are lots of stairs to climb but these are carpeted. Fortunately, one of the bedrooms was located on the ground floor which was a relief for one couple in our party who would have found the stairs a bit of a challenge. There is also a further ground floor separate shower room with toilet (just off the kitchen utility room), which meant no one had to climb the stairs each time they needed the loo or to freshen up. There was only one minor negative thing, in that the hot tub switched itself to a filtering mode quite often, which meant the water dropped in temperature by about 5 degrees. I guess it has a lot of filtering to cope with when 8 people have sat in it for 20 minutes. Unfortunately it doesn’t heat the water when it’s filtering it, so you have to wait for the filtering to stop before it starts to re-heat the water back up to temperature. It probably wouldn’t be so much of a problem during warmer weather but the water temperature obviously dropped quite quickly in the evening when it was only 5 degrees air temperature outside during our stay. Finally, the owner Martin was a very friendly and welcoming chap who was genuinely engaging on the day we arrived. His team in the office were also very helpful, especially Cheryl, who I liaised with mostly in the weeks leading up to our stay. The whole experience was very relaxed, everything ran very smoothly and everyone in our party wished they could have stayed longer. I highly recommend Rhandregynwen Hall.

Rhandregynwen is such a beautiful property.

We were really spoiled by the weather so made great use of the extensive grounds, but we all agreed that the house itself was big enough that we’d have been fine either way. The bedrooms are an unusual layout but that adds to the charm. Martin couldn’t have been more helpful - and the hamper of goodies was an unexpected treat. Absolutely massive hot tub. Two spacious lounges and a massive dining room. Quite a few of our party said they’d like to stay forever!

Ideal for children a good base for large familles

This was our third visit to this property.

It is a great place very welcoming. The kitchen etc is well fitted and warm to work in. A wonderful dining room with tables to play games. There is always plenty of logs for fire to keep warm. Xmas decorations were great We love it and will hopefully return again.

Really nice place to stay.

Everyone was very helpful. My wife left her phone and it was returned to her very promptly. Only a couple of minor issues - there was not enough food storage space - could have done with another large fridge. There was no food waste bin so that had to go in the general waste. Otherwise a lovely place to stay and we all had a wonderful time. Would stay again

The house was beautiful and very comfortable.

It had everything we needed and we loved the added little touch of fresh flowers . The hot tub was a huge hit and it was fantastic that it was so big. The grounds were very well kept and the kids loved playing games on the spacious lawns . We loved our stay here .

Amazing rental that was perfect for our group get together.

We stayed here for a triple family birthday celebration with multiple family members aged from 6 to over 80.

The house was absolutely perfect for us. The owner was easy to communicate with and ensured all our queries were answered. The house is in a great location, with a superb garden, the hot tub was a great hit. There were lovely touches, such as a large hamper of treats, smellies in all the bathrooms and towels provided for the hot tub. We will be back.

Overall the property was excellent and just right for our family gathering at Christmas .

The Christmas decorations were really excellent & the hot tub was a wonderful bonus and proved very popular with everyone including the children. All 3 generations of the family stayed together including the grandchildren from Auckland New Zealand. A memorable Christmas was had by all. Thank you Martin

Amazing large country house, so much character and spotless throughout, all bedrooms and living areas excellent and the kitchen is huge, Hot Tub larger than the average and was excellent, the owner should be proud of this property and I would recommend it to anyone

An amazing place to stay for all our family.

We couldn’t fault anything. Martin was very helpful and such an interesting guy to chat too, the boys loved the farm chats. All our granddaughters loved the hot tub, a great bonus. Rooms were amazing and suited our family needs perfectly. We will definitely come back.

An amazing place to stay, was for a 50th birthday for family and friends to get together.

Plenty of room and everyone had own bathroom so made the place ideal.

We met the owner of this property as we arrived, who was very welcoming and down to earth.

The house was exceptional and there was more than enough of everything you could think of! The best place I have ever booked so far x The kitchen had 2 dishwashers and the underfloor heating was perfect! The grounds made the use of the sunny weather comfortable and fun to play in. Plenty of parking and the locals were very friendly. I will be booking again!

Fantasic cottage and grounds.

The owner was very helpful and welcoming. Our family had the best time and we would definightly return.

The property is superb, well maintained and a high standard of cleanliness , the bedrooms are large and beds comfortable .

the downstairs is spacious, two big living rooms with comfortable seating and a great dinning room , we had 18 in our group and could all fit in around the two tables. The hot tub is huge takes 9 people, the grounds well kept massive space for younger children to run round in whilst secure , the location is also great , there is a Morrison's Local 5 minutes away for all the essentials and Welshpool , Oswestry , Shrewsbury all within 15 to 25 minutes

Large spacious property.

Well equipped to cater for large parties. we were a group of 17 with 3 generations We particularly liked how warm it was. The 8 seater hot tub was a hit. It says to bring your own towels for the hot tub although there were some provided for hot tub use, Plenty of outdoor seating looking towards Rodney's Pillar and long mountain. There is a gas barbeque provided for guests use. Most rooms had their own en-suite with either shower or bath or both. Plenty of towels and nice big ones too! Also plenty of tea towels provided as well as 2 dishwashers. We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely place and would definitely return if the opportunity arises. Things to note for future guests - that in no way caused any problems for our weeks stay, but might for others:- There were workman on site renovating some nearby outbuildings but it did not interfere with our stay whatso ever. ( a few vans coming up the drive first thing and very little if any noise - if you are out and about during the day its not a problem - .) The cattle in the nearby sheds were an attraction for young and old alike in our group, however some people not used to the country life may not like the the occasional mooing or the fresh country smells!

An absolutely stunning property in a fabulous location.

We booked it for a hen weekend and the house comfortably fitted 15 of us with room to spare. We had a private chef cook for us one night and the kitchen was well equipped for all our needs. Hot tub was large and maintained daily. Communication with the owner before our arrival was timely and informative. A really special house for a special occasion.

Lovely big accomodation, plenty of seating and comfortable beds.

Hot tub and seating area were great. The broken/raised laminate flooring in the lounge proved a trip hazard for young children. The quality of the showers in the property were mixed, a couple dribbled, one didn't hang up and a bath mixer shower head didn't work at all. Probably the time of the year but we had an infestation of ladybirds. I wasn't expecting the refurbishment of another building on the plot, with the occasional hammering and drilling. There was also a waste water spill from the drain at the front of the house which we made Martin aware of. Please don't get me wrong, we had a lovely family stay, correcting these issues would have only made it even better.

Excellent accommodation for our family holiday.

Well equipped kitchen for feeding 16 of us. Hot tub was amazing with plenty of towels for everyone and the kids particularly enjoyed the visits to see the cows behind the house. Following a problem with the hot tub one evening and sending a quick text there was someone out to fix it before 9 the next morning. The underfloor heating was great and plenty of hot water. We will definitely return at some point.

18 ladies enjoyed a 3 night weekend in this beautiful house and setting (our 14th year together).

House and facilities and super king size comfortable beds were luxurious and perfect. Great size hot tub and outdoor space We loved every minute of our stay. We will definitely be booking here again.

Absolutely loved our week here made all the better by fabulous weather so most of our time was spent outdoors.

We hired an excellent local private chef for a special birthday meal and all the facilities were there for her to make the meal. Would highly recommend for a large family/friends holiday.

Fantastic holiday, there was 17 of us there from Friday to Friday and I can't think of one thing that I disliked.

The facilities were fantastic, everything was comfortable, everything worked and thr owner was really down to earth and happy to help, he had to come out once due to the filter needing to be cleaned in the hot tub. Very easy to communicate with him. Couldn't recommend the location enough.

Fantastic house.

Loved the large garden plenty of room for games. House was very clean and well equipped. Definitely would like to return sometime. Lots to do in the area, a week wasn’t long enough to do it all.

What a find!

! We really didn't want to leave. The house is everything you could wish for. We had the most amazing week celebrating a family occasion. All of bedrooms are beautiful, the kitchen is well equipped and spacious. As is the dinning room and lounges. The hot tub is huge, and the grounds are stunning. We would highly recommend this property.

The glass in the skylight of the bathroom window was smashed and the shower leaked through to the ceiling in one of the en suites.

The bins were full on our arrival so didn’t have anywhere to put our rubbish - especially as it was windy it couldn’t be left outside! We came here last here and the property definitely is starting to need a little refurb!

Beautiful location and the property was everything and more than we wished for.

We spent Christmas at this property and it was excellent.

The house was clean, warm and spacious and had been decorated for Christmas which was lovely. Beds were large and very comfortable and most rooms had their own bathroom which was perfect for a large group. Kitchen was well equipped and big enough that we weren’t getting in each others way whilst cooking Christmas lunch. The grounds are lovely with views across the country side and the hot tub is fabulous. Martin was easy to communicate with and responsive. The Wi-Fi was a little patchy in places but this didn’t cause us any problems and we had a fantastic week.

We had a wonderful early family Christmas at the hall.

All of the bedrooms are well appointed and the bathrooms are modern and very clean. There was plenty of space for all 16 of us with the hot tub being a real bonus, it was well used by our group. There is ample crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment to prepare meals for a large group. We would definitely book again as everyone enjoyed their stay.

Really lovely stay.

Very quiet secluded spot with beautiful grounds. The Hall was beautifully renovated, clean, warm, spacious, well-equipped and extremely comfortable. Martin was very responsive and helpful. Lots of bedrooms which were all well-furnished with very comfortable beds. Noise does travel from downstairs and one bedroom is straight off the lounge so more suitable for those staying up late. We would highly recommend this accommodation and hope to be back again soon!

After missing two years of our annual girly hot tub weekend (covid) this was definitely the place to do it.

The overall experience has been absolutely amazing with many more happy memories made. The house is beautiful both inside and out with the hot tub being under cover made it more enjoyable. The bedrooms and bathrooms are just what everyone needs on a break, comfortable beds with hot showers. The log fire was an added bonus. We all had an absolute ball and have booked to return next year. Thank you

We absolutely loved this property, it was perfect for our large group of friends.

The bedrooms were huge and really well appointed (with the exception of the twin room which we didn’t need to use but would not have been suitable for adults - no storage. Ideal for children though.) The kitchen was large enough for us to move around in without getting in each other’s way! The huge utility room was perfect for storing everyone’s shoes, coats, food etc. Having two lounges was great for accommodating those who wanted to watch tv and those who wanted to just sit and chat. The hot tub was a big hit, as were the log burners. This has probably been our favourite group holiday house, hopefully we’ll be back soon.

We had a wonderful holiday at Rhandregynwen Hall with all the family from teenagers to a 97 year old.

The rooms are large and spacious and everything is provided.The gardens are huge and lovely for playing games. The hot tub was fantastic, a real bonus. We hope to return in the future.

Rhandregywyn Hall is an amazing property set in beautiful surroundings.

Everything we could possibly need for a family holiday - all 3 generations of us. The owners have gone above and beyond to ensure the comfort of their guests. The hot tub is huge and was enjoyed by all of us at various times. Our only complaint is that the week staying in this beautiful place was over too quickly.

A lovely property for a large family group - plenty of space outside for the children to run around safely while the adults can sit chatting on the patio.

Inside is well appointed and having two separate sitting rooms means people could chose to be in the "busy" (and noisy) room where the children were playing or to sit in the other room for a quiet read. The hot tub is a great addition enjoyed by many of the party. Only suggestion for improvement is more towel rails in the bathrooms.

The Hall is a fabulous place to stay and was perfect in every way for my hen party.

The surroundings are idyllic and the facilities are fabulous. The hot tub was great and the barbecue an added bonus which we used on Saturday evening after the cocktail master class. Martin the owner was brilliant and we can’t thank him enough for renovating this wonderful house so we could enjoy its unique qualities. Thanks to the cleaning team who we met on the last day. You were lovely too and do an amazing job. We loved it and can highly recommend the property

Rhandregynwen Hall is a beautiful property with everything we needed for a short stay.

The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and the beds are extremely comfortable. Contact with the owner was easy and he was extremely helpful with our queries allowing us early access to the property to put up our party decorations. I highly recommend the property and would love to visit again.

Absolutely stunning place and grounds.

Could not fault. The wow factor everywhere. 17 stayed for family hen get together aged 20-60. Every need catered for. Bedrooms all fantastic. So much space for everyone you could join in the fun or find peace and quiet. Fabulous terrace and hot tub area - massive hot tub. Everyone had a brilliant time. The home looked amazing in the description and photos on the site and honestly it was just incredible as soon as we got here. Owner and his mum great communicators. The place was spotlessly clean - for an old building we were amazed not one spot of dust. Beautifully presented, everything you could ever think of and more. Thank you for letting us stay at this gorgeous place.

One reception room was absolutely full of flies dead and alive and owner seemed shocked that this was an issue.

Requested one room to be made up as a twin which was a confirmed request but wasn't done and asked for gas for bbq and there were two empty bottles. Lots of cobwebs and dust. On the plus side beautiful house, lovely hot tub and was much warmer than anticipated and the hand soap and wipes provided in each bathroom was a nice touch

Amazing place stayed here Friday 4th February for my daughters hen weekend .

Cannot fault a single thing about the stay . We all agreed couldn’t of picked anywhere better to stay . I would give the place 5 stars and above .

Lovely well-equipped property with excellent bathroom facilities (6 out of 8 bedrooms en-suite and another two bathrooms).

Hot tub was great and plenty of hot tub towels supplied. The garden is very big with plenty of space for some children's play facilities - obviously not something we'd have used in December but I'm sure that in the summer they would be appreciated! A couple of things that some people might want to be aware of (not that they would stop me from recommending the property but worth knowing) - two of the bedrooms on the top floor have an interconnecting door which means that pretty much everything can be heard from one room to another. We were next door to a snorer so we had to block the gap round the door with towels, which just about worked, so not really a problem for us in the end, but it depends on your sensibilities! - the twin room on the first floor is very small (compared to every other bedroom which is large and well-equipped) with no furniture or storage other than the beds and a couple of tiny cabinets. It's ok if small children are in there but adults might feel a bit short-changed when they see the other rooms! - WiFi is patchy. There is a booster in the living room but you need a different password (in a tab behind the booster plug) and this isn't mentioned in the information file, so unless you spot the booster then you wouldn't know. Even with the booster the WiFi is adequate at best; not too much of an issue unless you want to do anything complex but worth being aware.

We were so impressed with everything about the cottage.

It was so comfortable and the owner made us most welcome. The hot tub was a bonus and thoroughly enjoyed by all. The only time we ventured out was to go to The Crossed Guns for a Sunday carvery. Excellent. Such a relaxing time and a real tonic in the lead up to Christmas. Thank you Martin. The Breese and Potter Family.

What a fabulous house!

The owner met us, as arranged, and gave us a grand tour and explained all the facilities which was super helpful. We regularly book weekends away as a large family group and can honestly say that this was one of our best finds. The house was equipped with more than everything we needed and was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. The hot tub was a lovely treat, as was the garden and the surrounding area was stunning. We had the best time!! Thank you :-)

Rhandregynwen hall was the most perfect holiday home.

I can highly recommend here for celebrations, family stays or get togethers the property has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Martin the owner is one of the most loveliest guys , so welcoming and down to earth and he has thought of everything in his property . The hot tub is amazing ( don’t think I’ve seen one so big ) and the outdoor space was fantastic for my party of 14 to all meet and we even had a sports day on the grounds. We look forward to booking again hopefully every year .

Martin was amazing!

Was great with recommendations and helped us with ideas on what to do as a group in the local area. The only thing that let the place down was the wasp nests. Martin did attempt to get rid of the wasps however they were relentless. Hot tub was great, fit the majority of us in it was that big. And the rooms were lovely and spacious too! Would come back 100%

This is a fantastic property for big get togethers.

Very large grounds. We had a party of 10 adults and 6 children from 2 to 9 years old it all worked great for us.

On arrival to Rhandregynwen Hall, we had a friendly welcome by Martin.

He gave us a walk through of the rooms at this beautiful place, which was to be our home for the next week. Martin ensured us that although he wished for us to have privacy, he was on hand if we had any questions, and he certainly was. We didn’t experience any issues during our stay but we were a demanding group regarding activities! Martin would always answer promptly and was very attentive to our requests, before and during our holiday. To say we were all pleased with our choice of venue, for this years Sykes holiday would be an understatement. We were spoilt for choice when choosing bedrooms and no family felt that they had the short straw. As a builder myself I can spot where money has been spent in the decor and finishing, but Rhandregynwen Hall only left me fantasising of owning a home like it. The living room (one of two) has a beautiful inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. Although there was no need for us to use this in July/August, it would be a beautiful feature for a cosy day/night in, for the colder months. Although not needed there were high-chairs and travel cots provided. The modern and clean kitchen is vast and is fully kitted out to serve all guests and the dinning room has a tabled seat for all. There was a large fridge/freezer plus a smaller fridge. No expense has been spared inside and out. The standard and beauty of the inside is equaled within the spacious garden and large hot tub. Theres plenty of seating outside with 2 tables & chairs and also extra benches. There were also extra activities/equipment to keep the children entertained. There are lots of walks/activities to do nearby (Rodneys’s pillar, go-karting etc), a village shop (5 mins drive), and a supermarket (15 mins drive). We had booked an on-line delivery but Martin and his team had left us a welcome basket so we could enjoy a hot drink and snack/biscuit before the shopping arrived. They really had made every attempt to make our stay a comfortable one. My vocabulary doesn’t do Rhandregynwen hall justice, frankly anyone staying there will be glad they did so and will not want to leave.

This was our 2nd visit and we enjoyed it just as much as the 1st time.

Could do with some new outdoor furniture, including some sun loungers. Also wheelie bins are needed as the rubbish has to hang around all week and this doesn’t help with the flys

A group of us came to visit in July.

The property was exceptional - huge beautiful rooms, a gorgeous hot tub, set nearby a river where we could swim. Upon arrival we were greeted by the legend that is Martin, who gave us a tour of the grounds surrounding the property, in his mini tractor - including a visit to the cows! Martin was an amazing host, so much so that on the first night when we couldn't find a bottle opener in the property, he sent someone down to deliver one, so that we were able to drink wine with our dinner! He also gave us recommendations of things to do in the area - we went on a hike nearby. We absolutely will be back next year. Cannot fault the place. On our final day, the cleaning staff were also very friendly and let us stay around and have tea whilst we waited to leave. Thanks Martin for an incredible stay! Great value for money and just gorgeous.

We would highly recommend this property.

Both the house and garden were superb and was perfect for our part of 12. On arrival we were greeted by Martin the host who was excellent throughout our stay, always there to answer any questions. The covered hot tub was great and used by all multiple times during our stay. I never go back to the same property but this one we certainly will.

The house and garden were perfect for our party of fourteen people, aged between 8 and 64, to let off steam and have fun.

The generous welcome basket was gratefully received. The house is very well equipped and comfortable and in a stunning location. The hot tub was enjoyed by all. The house owner Martin was lovely and when we had a slight issue with a shower head, he dealt with it immediately. None of us wanted to leave and I would highly recommend this property.

The place is beautiful, so much so that the pictures don’t even do it justice. All the rooms were decorated lovely and very clean. The owner and house keeping staff went above and beyond with lots of little extras on arrival. Facilities are immaculate we can’t wait to book again!

It is a fabulous property in a glorious setting of the Welsh countryside. The house is very warm and has great facilities and the BEST RECYCLING ARRANGEMENTS we have ever had, all praise to the owner Martyn. The hot tub was most impressive and much enjoyed by those who used it too. We would definitely like to return.

I stayed here in January 2020 with a group of friends and the house and surroundings were fabulous!

! Martin the owner was very friendly and accommodating, even providing a welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits etc. All bedrooms were immaculate and clean. Loved the outdoor area with hot tub and beautiful views!! Underfloor heating was a bonus too. Would highly recommend this place to stay, we can't wait to book it again for next year!!

Over and above expectation - the children loved playing hide and seek!

It was presented to a very high clean standard and plenty of space to sit when dining or relaxing. Plenty of food storage space for the fridge and freezer My only comments would be the showers are warm enough but wouldn't go any higher and the kitchen lacked some huge saucepans or cooking trays. We struggled to cook a Bolognaise in one pan and roasting tins for roast potatoes for 18 people was challenging.

Martin was really helpful and available to assist with questions and attending to show us how to use facilities.

We had the best 4 day break to bring in the new year at Rhandregynwen Hall.

The property is a perfect layout for a group of families with 2 living rooms and a large kitchen and dining room and wide selection of bedroom layouts to choose from, most with stunning en-suite’s with jacuzzi baths! The beds were very comfortable and the open fires kept the whole house cosy and warm. The highlight was definitely the giant hot tub which was enjoyed by all. Owner is very helpful and friendly - Thank you Martin! I am sure we will be returning soon.

We rented this house for a family party of16 which included 3 children, 2 under 5.

Not sure Sykes exceeded our expectations but this property certainly did. Everything had been thought of, there were numerous towels for use in the hot tub. Every bathroom had hand wash and cleansing wipes.The only thing I missed was a mirror in my bedroom but then found one in the huge walk in wardrobe. Well thought out space, easy to use kitchen. Owner very helpful.

The house was incredible, the little touches were incredible, the friendless of Martin and his family, nothing was too much trouble!

Fresh flowers, welcome hamper was brilliant!!! My hen weekend was helped to made perfect by this house and Martin. Every single one of my friends how stunning the house was!!! i cannot thank you enough!!! Xxxx
