A wonderful, detached 16th century farmhouse with hot tub, on the owners’ working farm in the village of Felindre, surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside and close to the English border, just five miles from the village of Beguildy.

Very comfortably furnished throughout, this Felindre holiday cottage provides spacious, contemporary accommodation, ideal for a family get together or a walking holiday with friends.

The rustic wooden latch doors contrast beautifully with the contemporary features to make a homely stay for everybody to enjoy.

Set over three floors, with lovely views from the upper floor, this cottage near Beguildy has five charming bedrooms, the master with the benefit of its very own en-suite facilities, and a ground floor bedroom with a WC next door.

There is a ground floor shower room, and a large beamed bathroom boasting a roll-top bath, ideal for relaxing after a long day walking on the nearby fells.

The large farmhouse-style kitchen has a dining area, perfect for a celebratory dinner or Sunday lunch, before retiring to relax by the warming woodburning stove in the beamed sitting room.

This charming Felindre cottage has the added benefit of a cosy snug, a quiet reading space, and a separate utility room.

Outside this Felindre cottage is a front and side patio with furniture, a barbecue, and a luxurious hot tub from where you can let all your cares melt away and enjoy views of the unspoilt countryside.

The pretty village of Beguildy boasts a Black and White timbered pub serving real ale and home-cooked food, as well as a very well-stocked village shop and a Post Office.

Many lovely walks and bike rides can be enjoyed from the doorstep of this Beguildy cottage, making it an excellent base for exploring this wonderful part of the country.

With the Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just over the border, it’s time to pull on your walking boots and explore this spectacular region.

BEGUILDY

Knucklas 5.5 miles, Knighton 9 miles.

The small village of Beguildy sits amongst peaceful countryside on the edge of the Welsh/English border. Surrounded by green landscapes, the village hosts a public house serving good food, a shop and a Post Office for daily essentials. There is fantastic access for those who wish to explore Beacon Hill, plus a 5-mile route for keen horse riders can be reached on the nearby beautiful Glyndwr's Way National Trail, as well as the Kerry Ridgeway or Jack Mytton Way. An abundance of walks and cycle routes at Offa’s Dyke provide fantastic views, and red kite and grouse can often be spotted. The neighbouring village of Knucklas boasts an ancient 13th century castle mound and an imposing viaduct built in 1865, complete with an impressive 13-arch span. Set on the Heart of Wales railway line between Shropshire and Swansea, why not leave your car behind and venture further into Wales by train, enjoying beautiful rural scenery along the way? A short drive away is the market town of Knighton, which is a celebrated location for walking, horse riding and cycling with Offa's Dyke passing through the town. Knighton also offers a farmers' market once a month selling local Shropshire and Welsh produce. Visit magnificent Powis Castle with its celebrated gardens, the spectacular Water-Break-It’s-Neck waterfall, the Elan Valley dams and the lovely towns of Bishop’s Castle, Leominster and medieval Ludlow, with its famous 13th century castle, ancient buildings and wonderful restaurants. AAlso visit Llandindrod Wells and Builth Wells, which boasts the Royal Welsh Showground which hosts a variety of events throughout the year. A wonderfully peaceful location for exploring beautiful mid Wales and Shropshire.
