Beautiful accommodation with stunning views!

The cottage was very clean and homely. The host answered my questions really promptly. Fantastic location to explore mid and North Wales. We can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous location and views.

Photos don't do it justice. The owners have thought of everything to ensure an enjoyable stay. Really well equipped and spotlessly clean. Facilities far better than expected. Ideal for dog owners as 50 meters away are forestry tracks where you can walk. Thoughtful welcome pack too. Definitely recommended.

Lovely warm cottage even on the coldest of days.

Beautifully decorated for our Christmas stay. Lovely and clean and the bedding and towels smelt lovely. Very comfy bed and fab shower. The cottage is in a lovely location with great views. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the mince pies and wine too!

Very quiet and peaceful and a bonus being able to take the dog!

We had a lovely stay at Llety Dewi, it really is a special place and I feel very lucky to have discovered this gem!

The view takes your breath away and from every window you have this stunning view of the lake. It’s also so peaceful so a great place to get away from everyday life and recharge. Loved seeing the sheep every morning too! There is outdoor seating too allowing you just to sit an soak up the surroundings. The cottage seemed really new and we were comfortable with everything we needed. Plenty of places to explore in the nearby area whether it be action packed adventure, hiking or maybe just discovery some nearby towns. We loved Bala lake, where we had a great day paddle boarding. Also white water rafting near Bala was a great hit with the kids.

This holiday let is so beautifully positioned overlooking the lake.

We loved sitting outside watching the house Martins flying around and absorbing the tranquility of our surroundings. Very quiet a d peaceful with wonderful woodland walks nearby. The accommodation itself is very modern , clean has great facilities and is very comfortable would definitely like to return so thankyou to our hosts for making our stay so wonderful. We had a week in Llety Dewy cottage with family staying in Old Cart House and Hen Blaid cottages, with all cottages having integrated doors which can be unlocked.

All cottages have great views of Lake Vyrnwy and can be booked out individually or as three. Llety Dewy sleeps 4 with Hen Blaid and the Old cart House sleeping 2 people. All three cottages allow 2 dogs in each. With having stayed in Hen Blaid last year 2024 I decided to book all three cottages for all the family this year. I would definitely recommend these cottages and most certainly will be returning for future holidays.

Fantastic location, the view over the lake is stunning.

Accommodation was simply decorated, spotlessly clean and in very good order. A very good welcome pack was provided. Outside a double bench and picnic table, with the same view of the lake, provided a lovely place to sit. Highly recommended.

As the TV is dependant on the internet this could be improved.

We had no signal for a couple of nights whilst there so no TV of the evening.

Llety Dewi lived up to expectations.

Stunning views when you wake up in the morning overlooking lake Vyrnwy and a flock of sheep. We appreciate the welcome pack which includes tea coffee sugar milk biscuit and a bottle of wine. The cottage was very clean and spacious. There's 3 toilet bathrooms (2 are en-suite) and smart TV's in each room. Bed is very comfortable Turning left from the accommodation will lead you to the Vyrnwy tower and bridge and to Lake Bala - turning right will direct you to Rhiwargor waterfall and the Snowdonia national park and Portmeirion. We highly recommend staying this place, you will not be disappointed.

This was our second year in a row & are just going through the process of booking a week in March 2026 Unfortunately Sykes Cottages are a bit slow issuing their Bloom membership discount.

However the cottages are first class & well run by Mandy & her family. Great place to stay & just chill overlooking the lake or visit Bala which is a great drive

Absolutely immaculate cottage, spacious yet cosy.

Sofa is comfy and everything you need in the kitchen. The fire warmed the place through quickly, and everything was well presented and beautifully finished. Having 3 bathrooms was an absolute luxury! The Xmas tree was a nice touch too. Our only criticisms would be the WiFi isn't reliable and we had no phone signal. There is a spot outside we found to send messages etc. However perfect if you want to be off grid or need a digital detox. Unfortunately the TV didn't work all the time possibly due to bad weather. And the mattress on the double bed is extremely uncomfortable, we feel it needs replacing but that is our personal opinion. The view from the bedroom really makes up for it. The cottage is in a prime location for exploring the lake and nearby walks. Not too far for a drive to Bala, we also visited Barmouth beach. We found a lot of places closed off due to storm damage but still got in plenty of decent walks around and about. The rhiwagor waterfall is well worth a visit. All in all we had a really lovely stay, thank you.

Tranquil relaxing holiday the view from the cottage is stunning the cottage is lovely with everything you could possibly need.

The beds are comfy and having a cuppa in bed looking out on the lake is just perfect the Welsh cakes, milk and wine were very welcome the owners unobtrusive but friendly. Lots of walks and fresh air we loved it so much we booked for next year before we left.

This property has fantastic views.

The lovely owners live behind the 3 cottages, but do not intrude unless you need them. We thought the fact that the three cottages adjoin might be a problem, but it wasn’t, we only heard the occasional noises through the wall and actually really enjoyed getting to know our next door neighbours.

This two bedroom unit was excellent in everyway ,clean, tidy well thought out with an excellent finish,a lovely gesture by the owners was a bottle of wine and long life milk left in the fridge and some excellent Welsh cakes for our arrival ,a lovely view over the lake could not fault this letting in any way

What an amazing cottage!

Had everything, and more, that you could possibly need. Towels & hand soaps in all 3 bathrooms, washing-up liquid, sponge, tea towels, tin foil, sandwich bags, tea, coffee, sugar, salt & pepper, bottle of wine and long life milk in the fridge plus Welsh cakes - never seen a cottage so well stocked. It was immaculate when we arrived, the beds were very comfortable and everything suited us as a family of 4 - that's my elderly parents, myself and my 14 year old son (plus our cocker spaniel) so effectively 4 adults! The view of Lake Vyrnwy was simply breathtaking. We could just look at it for ages. We certainly hope to visit again, my dad's health permitting. We highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed.

Lovely well equipped property which created a relaxing environment.

Wi fi wasn't the quickest but minor issue as we sat and played scrabble over a nice glass of wine. Will be back again hopefully

The cottage has been prepared to a very high standard, with 3 quality bathrooms and a well fitted kitchen and 2 bedrooms.

We were a party of 2 adults, 2 children and a dog and we enjoyed our stay very much (despite the weather). The view from the cottage, across the lake is superb. The only slight negative point is that there is no enclosed garden to let the dog out to, so it was always necessary to have him on the lead. Cannot fault anything else. Highly recommend.

What a gem,the photos really don’t do it justice the cottage is fitted out to a really high standard and the location overlooking the lake is breathtaking.

To be able to sit up in bed in the morning with a cup of tea looking out to the lake and the only sounds you can hear is bird song and sheep,not a single man made sound it must be like being on a remote island. We will be back!

Stunning cottage set in the most spectacular location; the photographs on the web site don't do it justice.

The cottage was immaculate, well equipped and cosy and warm. The beautiful woodwork in the cottage is first class. The picnic benches outside, overlooking the lake, are a perfect place to sit with a cuppa or glass of wine, so very quiet, all you can hear are the birds. Plenty of local walks and stunning drives to enjoy whilst en route to further afield destinations. We very much appreciated the kind welcoming gift of wine and welsh cakes and the essentials needed for a cuppa on arrival. We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday and hope to return again, bringing other family members. Cannot recommend highly enough! The Beese family.

Beautiful cottage set in the most magical location - the views from all rooms of the cottage were incredible.

Great facilities - the washing machine and tumble dryer and downstairs wet room was ideal after wet and muddy walks in the area and for sorting a very muddy cockapoo! Lots to do in the area I would recommend a visit to Bala lake and Llangollen. Only thing that would of been useful was a clothes airer and maybe something on the stairs - they are wooden and lovely but very slippery especially with the turn. We will definitely be back and will be recommending the cottages to friends and family :) thankyou for a lovely stay.

An absolutely fantastic cottage at a very reasonable price.

Recently renovated and tastefully decorated by the very friendly owners who live on site and whose son is responsible for the skillfull carpentry and beautiful woodwork in all three cottages. We were informed by the village shopkeeper it’s the only property overlooking Lake Vyrnwy other than the 4star Vyrnwy Hotel. The cottage is well equipped with everything you could possibly need on holiday. The views from all of the rooms are stunning (bathrooms excluded of course)! It rained just about every day we were there but it only added to the enchantment of the area. Our two dogs (A French Bulldog & Cavalier King Charles) loved it there plus their walks down the drive to the lakeside. The drive to nearby Bala is stunning with views over the local hills/mountains. We went out exploring everyday reaching as far as Llandudno on occasion but always returned to lovely warm and welcoming cottage. We are both in our 70’s and Having recently moved house and enduring all the stress involved in such a move we returned home feeling rested, refreshed and invigorated. We stayed at the cottage over Christmas and arrived to find some tasteful decorations, a Christmas card from the owners and some handmade mince pies which we found really lovely.

The cottage was immaculate inside and when we woke the first morning we were taken aback by the views. We had a super cosy stay and enjoyed the surrounding areas too. We went for walks and to little villages recommended and loved coming back to the cottage at the end of the day. There was attention to detail and everything supplied that we would need on our break. Would highly recommend and will hopefully be back to stay again! Thanks so much, the Cherone family.

Property was better than advertised, home from home, everything you needed and more.

Spotlessly clean, views of mountains and. Lake were very impressive. Interior top finish. Bottle of wine left in fridge was a welcoming suprise. Would highly recommend.

Thank you to the owners - the views and location of this cottage is spectacular and such a lovely place to be in autumn. Total tranquility away from it all. The only suggestions we have is is we couldn't find a chopping board or any egg cups also a maiden would be useful. But minor things ! It's a fair drive to a pub (which we knew) and planned to self cater for the majority of our stay. Thank you again for a blissful weekend ! We would love to come back.

Well equipped for all holiday needs. It’s great to have towels provided and the welcome goodies are a very nice and well appreciated touch. Set in a very beautiful place, with all you need to have a break, with access to some lovely local sights. Would totally recommend. Thank you!

Lovely stay with 2 kids and a dog.

House was great. Everything was clean and had everything you need. Beautiful views and a walk down to the lake is a few mins away. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and Welsh cakes, which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend!

Owners friendly. Cottage well laid out. Brilliant view of the lake from the bedrooms. Go to Artisans - you won't leave hungry or without chatting to someone. Loved it and hope to come back soon.

PROPERTY WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE.

STUNNING VIEWS AND BEAUTIFUL WALKS HAD AN AMAZING STAY. WINE, WELSH CAKES AND HOME MADE SOAP WAS A LOVELY TOUCH AND GRATEFULLY RECEIVED. WILL STAY AGAIN SOON I HOPE!

One or 2 of the double bed slats was loose and made a loud creak every time one of us got up during the night, which woke up the other one!

Needs fixing. In an ideal world the bed could be larger as there is plenty of space in the room (we are small people but others are not so). The bedside tables could be larger to accommodate people's night time things: medication, books, eye masks, water etc. It would have been better to have a wall mirror in the bathroom and a full-length mirror in the bedroom. Also there was no hand soap in the downstairs bathroom, which we regard as essential. The main TV could be larger and there should be obvious instructions as to where the router is for wifi. We didn't know it was there for a whole day until we discovered it behind a curtain! They might need to put a blind at the kitchen window as the curtains might get wet/stained. The kitchen needs to be better stocked - ie bigger pans, a colander etc. A kitchen bin just for recyclables would encourage people to recycle more. The newness of everything and level of workmanship that's gone into the house and the world-class views of course well make up for these details, but it's often the details that matter. Our hostess was friendly and very kindly allowed us to charge our car a couple of times. We left her cash to cover for this extra electricity use. We would love to go back one day - we had a very relaxing break.

Really lovely place, great views and situation, so private which we really enjoyed.

One thing I would suggest is as the middle cottage is for four people a bigger saucepan would be useful as it wasn’t big enough to cook for four of us! However everything else was fab - we had a great time.

This is a beautiful place to stay.

The owners were very attentive and had gone the extra mile to ensure our stay was memorable. On the day of arrival they had left all the essentials so we could have a cuppa straight away. They also left a bottle of wine and some Welsh cakes, which was a lovely touch. The property itself overlooks the lake which is very restful and the inside of the property was to a very high standard. We will definitely look to return in the future.
