Rock House Apartment

A comfortable apartment with a fabulous view over the river Severn.

Very well equipped with a clean modern kitchen and bathroom. Short walk into town via the cycle route. Lots of other local walks are available published by the local council. Easily found if you search online for Newtown walks.

The accommodation suited my needs very well and I would cheerfully return.

I would without doubt recommend Rock House apartment.

It was clean, tidy and as advertised. It had a great view - especially of the River Severn, which ran past the house. The owner was friendly and helpful and left a nice hamper for us. My only reservation (which did not worry us) was that it is on the 2nd floor and the staircase going up might be a problem for some.

Accomodation clean,peaceful and warm! All in all, a wonderful relaxing stay,just what we needed after Christmas!

We arrived to a warm welcome, great views, clean and tidy apartment, and a nice hamper of goodies.

The apartment matched the photos and it was extremely cosy and warm after a rainy day in Wales. The guests were available and helpful. We had a lovely stay. Would highly recommend the apartment.

A bit puffed at the top of 2nd flight of stairs but the view we have was worth it. Apartment was lovely with all that you needed, comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and a welcome hamper too. Have family in the area so this could be are new stay over place.

Adrian the owner met us on arrival to show us around the apartment.

There is everything you need to make your holiday enjoyable, the welcome hamper was one of the best we have seen. Walking along the river to Newtown was easy and there are two museums to visit. The area is a short drive to many other places to visit. The garden and views from the apartment are superb. Fishing facilities were very good unfortunately the river was too low on our visit but my husband enjoyed sitting by the river casting out for a few hours each day. We are hoping to try again with more successful fishing next year.

Lovely base.

Great location next to the river. A lovely flat very well thought out in the way it’s laid out. It’s in the loft space so 2 flights of stairs. Lovely old historic house. Well worth a visit.

Fabulous place to stay, very cosy and quiet.

Great view of the river and golf course. Adrian was a fantastic host, showed us the work he is doing on Rock house, so much history. Best hamper ever and beer in the fridge! Will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks for a great stay.

Adrian was the perfect host and the apartment was the perfect place. The apartment was spacious, had everything you needed but most importantly, the place and the surroundings had character in spades! The river, the garden, the terrace and even the neighbours - this was truly one of our favourite places we've ever stayed and look forward to another visit very soon.
