A striking, traditional, semi-detached Welsh farmhouse, situated on a working livestock farm, close to the popular seaside university town of Aberystwyth.
A perfect base for families or groups of friends looking to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside, yet being close to a popular town and the beautiful sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay.
Set over two floors, there are four comfortable bedrooms, on a split level first floor, with the twin bedroom on the other side of the staircase, two with steps to en-suite showers and a family bathroom.
There is a well-equipped kitchen, with everything you need to make the most of the dining area.
There are two sitting rooms, one with an open fire and the other with a woodburner, offering the chance to sit and enjoy the ambience of this charming farmhouse.
Outside, you can sit in the enclosed patio garden and enjoy a relaxing cup of tea whilst planning your day’s adventures.
The town of Aberystwyth with the sweep of the Edwardian promenade and pier, is a perfect venue to be mesmerised by the murmurations of the resident starlings.
Alternatively, why not take a ride on the funicular railway to marvel at the Camera Obscura?
You are ideally placed to explore the wonderful coastline of Cardigan Bay from the town with various sandy beaches stretching in both directions with New Quay to the South and Borth to the North.
The area offers numerous outdoor activities such as dolphin and wildlife spotting boat trips, river and sea fishing.
Perhaps catch a glimpse of the submerged forest at Borth, or enjoy a trip on the Vale of Rheidol Railway to the mystical gorge and waterfalls of Devils Bridge.
Slightly further afield, to the north, you will find the pretty vibrant market town on Machynlleth, with the local Ynys Hir Nature Reserve and the start of the Snowdonia National Park.
To the south is the harbour town of Aberaeron, with its pretty multi-coloured terraced houses.
In the Aberaeron area there are numerous National Trust properties including the long stretch of the sandy beach at Penbryn, and the working farm and John Nash designed property at Llanerchaeron.
A perfect opportunity to enjoy a traditional Welsh farmhouse, surrounded by undulating countryside and ideal for families and friends looking both for a peaceful setting, close to evening entertainment and a diverse landscape.

A Fantastic Family Getaway in West Wales We had a fantastic stay at this lovely holiday cottage near Aberystwyth and would highly recommend it, especially for a large family or group getaway.
From the moment we arrived, the property felt like a real home-from-home. Everything was spotlessly clean, with lovely fresh towels in every room, and there was even a welcome pack with plenty of useful information and a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us, which was very much appreciated. The cottage itself is spacious, particularly the living area, which gave our group plenty of room to relax. The kitchen was really well equipped, with everything we needed, as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer. Having a second small fridge was an excellent bonus too, giving us plenty of space for drinks and any surplus food without filling the main fridge. The bathrooms were wonderful, with both showers and baths available. For us, the outside space was a real highlight. The hot tub was awesome and a great way to relax, although the headrests were broken, which could become a little annoying after a while. The garden was fully enclosed, which was perfect for our dog, and there was plenty of outdoor seating to make the most of the Welsh weather. BBQ coal was also thoughtfully left for guests to use, which was a lovely touch. It is a pet-friendly property, but you would never have known that previous pets had stayed there — there was absolutely no sign of them, which was really impressive. The property is situated on a working farm/workshop, but this never bothered us at all and it wasn't something that affected our stay. The cottages are in a row alongside other holiday properties, so you can hear other guests enjoying their hot tubs from time to time. This didn't bother us whatsoever, but if you're specifically looking for complete seclusion and total silence, it's worth bearing in mind. The only real downside for us was the beds. The bedding itself was lovely and comfortable, but some of the mattresses felt quite overused and weren't particularly comfortable. That said, this certainly didn't detract from what was otherwise an excellent stay. The location is also great for exploring the area. Aberystwyth is close by and has supermarkets for your main shopping, while some takeaways will deliver directly to the cottage. We particularly enjoyed a trip to Borth Beach, which was excellent for swimming, with free parking and public toilets where you can get changed. The butterfly house was another fantastic day out, and there was an energy-saving company next door that was really interesting, with lots of information about different ways of saving energy. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. The cottage is spacious, exceptionally clean, very well equipped and has everything you could want for a relaxing family break. The little touches, such as the welcome information, wine on arrival, BBQ coal and the fantastic enclosed garden, really made a difference. All in all, a fabulous place to stay and a great base for a family getaway in West Wales. We would happily stay here again!
It was a perfect cottage for all the family( 9 yrs to 77 yrs).
Really spacious very clean with everything we needed. The hot tub was a firm favourite , especially the grandchildren. It was so peaceful , with lots of outdoor space. There was lots to do in the area . We had a brilliant holiday.
