    “Lovely cottage, very quiet and peaceful.”

    Everything you need (tumble dryer would be good) for a comfortable stay. Nice walks from the cottage and close to village. Lovely area for sightseeing too.

The property

The Alders is a wonderful dwelling located in a prime spot for a relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, ideal for an artistic soul, searching for a a quiet haven where your creativity can flow.

The property is situated in a elevated position; the drive through a peaceful ford sets the scene for a magical stay ahead as you enter the gorgeous private driveway surrounded by lush green fields, mystical woodland and out onto a picturesque view of the countryside, as you listen to the babbling stream echoes along with the tranquil sounds of wildlife.

Inside the property, you will find the master bedroom at the front of the bungalow, a generous king-size with an original feature fireplace, TV and stunning views out of the dual aspect windows (binoculars are provided for some early morning bird watching).

The double bedroom boasts a built-in wardrobe and tree-themed decor, while the twin bunk room is the perfect size for adults, so can cater to a variety of groups .

Relax in the open-plan living area, featuring characterful decor with a large timber dining table, bright yellow flowers, and a contemporary kitchen.

Rustle up a delicious home-cooked meal in the attractive kitchen, equipped with all the essential amenities needed for a self-catered stay, rest your feet as you lie next to the toasty woodburning stove and get lost in a thrilling film on the TV, or spend your evening playing a competitive board game at the dining table.

Take your pick from the homely family bathroom, where you can soak in a bubble bath, or the convenient shower room situated next to back entrance, ideal for a quick wash after a muddy day outside.

At the back of the property, you'll find a utility room with a washing machine, and sufficient storage for any extra bags or shoes.

Outside, is a large enclosed garden space where your furry friends and children can run around safely, sip your morning coffee whilst you overlook the panoramic countryside views and find inspiration for a day of writing, painting, or soul-searching as well as an outdoor area with a dartboard for a bit of friendly competition.

There's also a bike shed around the back where you can store bikes or kayaks.

The town centre is just a short walk down the road, boasting a wide range of necessities including shops, pubs, cafes, and a sports/leisure centre.

Llanfyllin is a beautiful rural location, perfect for walking, cycling and horse riding with some great routes available.

However there's a lot of fun activities and attractions to go and visit; St Myllins Church is a medieval church dating back to 1706, hosting lovely views from the bell tower, it's also home to a range of fantastic string quartet shows and festivals throughout the summer months, you can also visit LLanfyllin Workhouse, a preserved workhouses offering self-guided tours and a informative History Centre.

Roomination Escape Games is very close to the property, an exciting day out where you can discover your inner detective as you embark on a unique quest.

Powys county is a spectacular base to unearth hidden gems within the heart of Wales, have a magical day out at Dan yr Ogof, a National Showcaves Centre for Wales, or discover wonder at Powis Castle and Garden, a Nation Trust site which is a mix of a medieval castle, fortress and grand country mansion.
