At the end of the day it's camping, you're not expecting 5 star luxury, but given how expensive this break was there were little things that started grating. The hot tub was set far too high for summer. Most nights on removing the cover the temp was at 40 to 41.5c, and the water too hot to stand. Was very disappointed at this as stay at other similar sites and have never had this problem.
The ladies toilet wouldn't flush for the last few days, and the shower again was way too hot even turned down to cool.
The power kept going off. No comfortable chairs to sit on outside, just a picnic bench. Chopping knife broken, no tea towels
Given that these tents cost almost as much as a lodge to stay in, you'd expect a bit more.
I also think that the quiet after 10pm policy should be enforced more. The first weekend there were large groups with loud music playing, shouting, squealing...even at 3am there were still people talking loudly outside my bedroom.
The owners are lovely, and if these issues were addressed this would be an amazing site.
