The tent itself was lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We particularly loved the decking and outdoor space with the kids in the hot tub and the hubby enjoying the fire pit, it made it so easy to enjoy the surroundings and spend time outside. Even though the weather wasn’t brilliant on some days, it really didn’t spoil our holiday with the canopy extendingfar enough over the deckingto still sit out whilst it rained. There was something so relaxing about being tucked away in such a beautiful setting, and we still had an amazing time.
It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy the simple things and make memories together. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and the feeling of being surrounded by nature.
If I had to suggest a couple of little improvements, the sofa material is quite rough and not particularly comfortable, although this wasn’t really an issue for us as we mostly sat outside on our camping chairs on the decking. There is also a little lack of storage, so a couple of baskets underneath the coffee table and perhaps a few hooks for coats would make a big difference, especially for a longer stay.
Those are only minor points though, and they certainly wouldn’t put us off returning. We had such a fantastic week and were genuinely sad to leave. The kids asked on the way home if we can come back next year. The beautiful, tranquil setting, the experience of staying in the glamping tent and the quality time we got to spend together made this one of our favourite holidays. We would absolutely recommend The Kingfisher and would love to come back!
