We had a fantastic stay.

The accommodation is fabulous in a gorgeous location. High chair and cot provided for the little one. A lovely welcome plate of scones with milk and bread. Tea and coffee etc and a cafetiere available if, like it's, you like it fresh. All you need for cooking Little private garden❤️

Everything was perfect, including the weather!

A dream of a holiday let.

The day after leaving we have booked again for later in the year.

Stayed in over thirty properties over the last 8 years and I can say this is the best one yet!

Very warm and comfortable with everything we needed. Lovely owners and dogs. We didn't need anything but if we had I'm sure it wouldn't of been a problem

7evern is a lovely quiet place to stay.

The only neighbour you have is the owner of the property who lives next door. The house is set out to maximise every bit of space which has been done perfectly. 7evern has also thought about the less mobile person and offers a large downstairs bedroom with a huge walk in shower and a raised toilet. Upstairs is 2 very large bedrooms which are set out ensuring both have full privacy. There is also a large family bathroom. The owner has thought of everything that could be needed including a fully stocked airing cupboard, cleaning equipment, a large variety of kitchen equipment whilst leaving enough cupboard space for your own bits and pieces. On arrival there was a bottle of milk, freshly baked cupcakes, a box of chocolates, tea, coffee, sugar aswell as salt, pepper, cooking oil aswell as other kitchen essentials. Under floor heating is amazing with several thermostats for different area's of the house. A truly wonderful place to stay if you like the peace and quiet and wonderful views of Wales.

An excellent property with great facilities, extremely clean and comfortable and the host was really welcoming.

A lovely property, very clean and everything you would need.

Also the milk, eggs and cakes were much appreciated. The only disappointment was that the views from the lounge windows on the site were very carefully photographed and did not show that you looked out of the lounge windows onto the car park and the grey side of the very large barn. A very disappointing view. Also the field that could be used, with a picnic table, was in deep grass and housed 2 lovely pigmy goats that lived on the table making it un-useable. Also our dog had to be kept on a lead outside of the house.

Lovely cottage located next to the owner that has everything you need.

Very clean and tidy with all items catered for. It even has a nice little garden with views which isn't shown on the listing. Perfect location for discovering this area. Highly recommend.

Lovely friendly people and animals. Superb location with stunning views. Accommodation had everything I was looking for too make for a great family gathering Will be booking again for next year.

The cottage was fabulous. Very clean with everything you need for a great stay. Beds were comfortable and we had a restful sleep. Although on a working farm we had no disturbance from the farm. The night sky was stunning with very little light pollution you could see the full beauty of the night sky. P.S. the fresh home made scones fresh butter and local fresh milk left for us were a really thoughtful and appreciated touch

We loved our stay the owners were lovely and very helpful beautiful place we all had a great rest dogs loved it great fields for them to run on would recommend shame pubs for food wasn't available but it was out of season but red lion was lovely and done us sandwiches but cause horse racing was on for locals didn't charge us for them if you want a quiet time away with lovely people beautiful surroundings perfect place loved every minute thank you xx

Had another wonderful stay at 7evern @ Porth Farm over New Year.

The cottage was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season and spotlessly clean. Some thoughtful provisions in the fridge and some Christmas chocolates too, we were spoilt. Managed to get out for some lovely walks and it was great to see some of the stunning views and countryside surrounding the cottage. The owner was so welcoming and it was an excellent place for us to stay, we will definitely be back again

We had a fantastic week away and staying at Porth Farm was the perfect place.

When taking our 2 Autistic Sons on holiday we need a base that has all the comforts of home & this place definitely ticked all the boxes. Especially having the Tv & Wi-fi. On arrival we greeted by the 2 Farm Dogs which was just lovely and upon entering the cottage we were pleasantly surprised to find some Welsh cakes and a bottle of Organic Milk waiting for us. Absolutely fantastic. 10 out 10 and we will definitely be coming back next year.

Very peaceful. Had everything we needed and all very clean.

Quiet, beautiful countryside location on a working farm.

Host was very welcoming and helpful and willing to help with anything but also kept to herself. Ideal place for visiting mid Wales. We shall be back if back in the area in the future. The very well behaved dogs visiting were an added bonus to our girls!

We were made so welcome.

We were visiting over the Christmas/New Year period and the cottage was all decorated and so warm and cosy. A welcome pack including some chocolates was waiting for us. All such thoughtful touches to welcome us when we arrived. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and the living area has everything you need. It’s also a very practical place if, as we did, you have your dog with you. It’s worth noting that on arrival there wasn’t a trace of previous doggy visitors, the cottage was spotless. The outside spaces are all safe and enclosed and there are some lovely walks on the doorstep as well as further afield. The resident dogs were very tolerant of our playful puppy! The host family were very friendly but gave us the space we needed to enjoy our holiday. I would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a base to explore beautiful Mid Wales and beyond. We will be back!

Our only complaint (which isn’t really a complaint) is that there could be more sign posting to get to the property.

We thought we had entered a private farm so we turned around and went to a different property then got completely lost.

WOW, What an amazing place to stay.

Beautiful views, beautiful converted barn which is furnished in a simple yet clean and with a thought of different needs of guests. Disabled friendly, animal friendly, secure area for children and animals alike. If you are wanting a get away from it all then this is the place to stay. Thank you once again for such a beautiful place to stay. Must mention farm Dog and Cat daily visits which was the highlight of my daughters day.

We love coming here.

Although it is a working farm it is so peaceful with lovely views at the rear of the accommodation. Everything possible is provided for a cosy and comfortable stay. The owners are unobtrusive but there if you need them. They went the extra mile to rescue us from Caersws village when the lane up to the farm was closed by flooding and again to make sure we got safely to Newtown on our way home. The accommodation includes an accessible ground floor room which was great as I am currently recovering from a foot operation. We look forward to returning next year

Excellent property and stay.

I could not decide to visit here because it was difficult to see if there was a view or not from the photos displayed, there certainly was one, and table and chairs in the back garden. A photo would have helped. The only negative was the amount of pesky small flies et this time of year.

Scones, Jam, cheese, milk, butters left for our arrival. Very grateful for our wonderful stay.

A beautiful property with large bedrooms and everything we needed facility wise.

Plenty of parking and an enclosed small garden which was great for my little boy. The owner was very helpful. She had also left us fresh scones, milk and some other bits and bobs which was great

There were 5 adults and a dog staying at 7evern@porthfarm.

The place was lovely, clean and comfortable. A lot of thought and extra touch’s have gone into the barn. The down stairs double bedroom and en suite was fabulous for disabled access( my dad was really impressed) The view from the garden/patio were lovely. The owners are very welcoming leaving fresh milk, coffee, tea ect and the added extra of fresh scones homemade jam and clotted cream. The farm is a working farm and they have 2 lovely dogs who come for a visit from time to time for a belly rub and a treat

Super cottage in quiet rural location yet all amenities within easy reach.

Friendly host nearby for local recommendations if you want anything. Cottage very clean and well finished with modern fittings. We took our motorbikes for a bit of exploring of Mid Wales, the location is great as you can easily find routes in whatever direction the weather directs you. We would happily stay here again.

Absolutely love this cottage, very warm and welcoming.

every thing is there that you would need at home. a good location to use as a base to go out anywhere. even though i broke my ankle while out walking near Elan Valley i still didn't want to leave, so we had a shuffle round of bedrooms and i stayed in the ground floor one with on suit bathroom which made everything so much easier. we are hoping to book this property again sometime in the future as really enjoyed our stay there

It would be very hard to improve this property.

the owners, the 2 dogs and the cat all extremely friendly. when walking our dog most times we would have to dogs and a cat coming along with us. the cottage was excellent.

A lovely property that was equipped and furnished to a high quality.

The bed was very comfortable and the en suite shower was excellent. Really nice to have areas where the dog was safe outside. Lovely views from rear garden. Very quiet and peaceful. Shops and petrol station within a short drive to Caersws. If you want to see Red Kites in large numbers (150+) then a visit to Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre is a must. Feeding times 3pm summer and 2pm winter. I would definitely stay here again.

Wow, what a find!

The property is beautiful with absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay. We all slept brilliantly in very comfortable beds. You can hear a pin drop at night, very quiet and peaceful. The property benefits from underfloor heating which is lovely and warm all day long. The garden is totally enclosed so didn't have to worry letting our dog out. It also benefits from the most stunning views. We had a frosty morning whilst there, so everything was white from the frost, with a mist rising under blue sky & sunshine, of course making the views even more special. The owner is very friendly and kindly made us the most beautiful homemade scones and jam, which went down a treat after a long journey. We had regular daily visits from their 2 lovely dogs Fly & Daisy. Our two grandchildren spent all their time at the windows watching out for them! Highly recommend this beautiful property to anyone. Great disabled access too having downstairs bedroom with big ensuite facilities.

Great place to stay.

Very comfortable and thought has gone into providing everything necessary for a super holiday let. The ground floor bedroom has accessible amenities and kitchen and lounge well equipped. Even though it is a working farm surroundings are peaceful and tranquil. Well situated for exploring the local area which has lots to offer. Extra touches were the home baked scones and jam which we really appreciated on arrival. Also the visits from the farm dogs Daisy and Fly, cat and the occasional hen. This was our third stay here and we have already booked for next year

Very comfortable, would stay here again

There were 6 of us during our stay and I would say it fit us all comfortably.

We had a living space a kitchen and a wonderful garden with views of the hills and wildlife. We had good spacious rooms and comfortable beds with linens and towels already provided. it had things designed for family holidays as well and for young ones. (cot/highchair). Instant barbeques provided, in replacement to the original which was lovely and just a nice clean home to make our own for our time in Wales.

Absolutely perfect especially with an elderly relative in the group.

Kitchen fully equipped and plenty of cleaning products available. Beautiful views from garden and lovely quiet location but not far from local village. Highly recommend this holiday home from home.

An additional shower in the main bathroom would be useful when cottage is fully occupied

The owners were very friendly.The view around the farm was beautiful. We game down for a wedding at Plas Dinam House which was lovely.The weather was lovely and so was the wedding sunshine all day .

Enjoyed our 2 night stay here so much we have booked again for a longer stay.

The property is clean, comfortable and lovely inside and the people there were welcoming and really friendly. Set in a quiet rural area, the back patio/garden was fantastic for star gazing in the evenings. The best part of our stay was most definitely the visits from the cute dogs and cat though! I think we were all just as excited to see them as they were to get strokes and belly rubs! It is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway or as a base for visiting the wider area!

Very comfortable and quiet. Handy for Caersws village and not far to main road to nearby towns

Our hosts were very welcoming and the property, set in a very quiet location, very comfortable and clean.

Wheelchair access not great into lounge, but easy enough to enter round back into ground floor bedroom. There were only two of us so we had plenty of space. Nice part of Wales - Newtown a good town, and train trips to Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth from Caersws station a couple of miles away

We had a fantastic week at Porth Farm.

Lovely cottage, warm welcome and felt very at home. The children loved having the run of the farm and playing with the dogs. The cottage was warm and comfortable and the enclosed garden was a real bonus. It was a great base for exploring some fantastic parts of mid-Wales such as the spectacular Elan Valley and Lake Vyrnwy. Warm freshly made scones on arrival were possibly the highlight of the week!! Thanks for a great stay.

Just arrived back from a brilliant week with the family would definitely recommend 7evern@porthfarm the hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the cottage was clean and had everything we needed.

It was also fantastic for our small dog as he could wander outside in the enclosed garden without us worrying where he was.

We know llandinam very well so we enjoy seeing family and friends when we visit there scenery is lovely, and Newtown Llanidloes caersws all close buy, a lovely place to visit.

We had a lovely time and will definitely be returning. The cottage was gorgeous, very clean and had everything we needed. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the walks and attractions in the area were great to visit. Super dog friendly and we all had a fabulous time! Thank you!

This was a beautiful cottage, very peaceful, great hosts.

The only thing missing was a freezer/small freezer compartment. No where to keep ice or the 1 or 2 frozen items we took with us and so ended up having to throw away. I would definately recommend to family and friends and would book again. Absolute great 2 weeks, thank you

Great to get away after lockdown and visit some of the beautiful places nearby.

The barn has been very nicely converted and was very comfortable to stay in and Lavinia and her family were very welcoming.

Lovely location, nice owner, accommodation lovely, everything you could need.

Even though place was immaculately clean for a holiday cottage, I'd say the toliet/bathroom would need to be a tad cleaner for perfection, a few stray hairs here and there, but that's being over fussy!

7evern is lovely accommodation that is clean and modern with everything you could need with a secure area for dogs.

Friendly and helpful hosts who provided lovely touches such as fresh bread, milk, and homemade cake. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

This cottage is the best that we have stayed in for comfort, cleanliness and facilities.

Our hostess was so friendly and nothing too much trouble for her, not to mention her spaniel Daisy who was a delight. If you want tranquility this is the place to be. The welcome pack was wonderful. We will definitely be booking again for the spring time.

On arrival there was a welcoming food pack which was very much appreciated. There was a secure parking area which was also dog friendly.

Fantastic cottage one of the nicest I have stayed in.

Bread milk and cake on arrival amazing. Would like to see a washing machine as family accommodation this is helpful. The twin room sky light is very bright in the morning and so expect early starts.

Lavinia paid a lot of attention to details to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. There was freshly baked cake and bread to greet us on arrival and freshly picked flowers. The house was clean and beds comfortable. Lavinia was on hand to help and recommend local amenities. we enjoyed The Royal Welsh Show. Most of the driving route were very scenic we particularly enjoyed driving to Llyn Cleywedog. We had a lovely holiday and would highly recommend it

Great cottage, very nice helpful owner, quite location, lots of places of interest within easy reach like the elan valley the red kite centre Llangollen canal and the pontcysyllte aqueduct.
