What more could you ask for!

Once again, an amazing stay at Bryndan.

Despite us forgetting to ask for the twin room to be set as a double, there was someone with us within 15 mins of us contacting the owner to change it for us. It was lovely to see the lambs in the field next to us whilst listening to the birds and the roar of the military jets nearby, so if you like this type of thing, this is the place for you with the Mac loop not too far away. Like both of our two previous visits, the property was clean and comfortable, and we can't wait to come back!

Fantastic stay such a lovely property and owners very helpful, so peaceful and relaxing definitely recommend to anyone who wants some peace from their busy lives!

Lovely, warm comfortable cottage for a very cold week in January.

This was our second visit to Bryndan, and it certainly won’t be our last.

I actually forgot how lovely it is (the pics don’t do it justice). We were very grateful that we could be accommodated last-minute (we booked in the morning and checked in the same day). The property is spacious, clean, and well-equipped. In the lounge, the smart TV is excellent, the fireplace lovely and warm, and the sofas very comfy. The kitchen has everything you need, and the appliances are high-quality. The bedrooms are particularly welcoming and spacious with comfy beds. Bryndan is isolated but not too far from civilisation if you need anything. We were able to get an Asda home delivery without any issues. The owner communication is excellent and friendly, and they didn’t disturb us at all during our stay. There’s plenty of wildlife in the area (particularly red kites), and the dark sky at night is a treat for stargazers. There’s lots of space for dogs to explore in the garden on a long lead (there are sheep in the adjacent field). Overall, Bryndan is the perfect getaway, and we would recommend it without hesitation.

Absolutely stunning cottage, not much the owner could do about the weather but sitting in the cosy living room with the fire roaring and a glass of wine whilst watching the storm outside was magical.

A very relaxing mini-break Set in a tranquil, remote location amongst lots of nature, the property is spacious and has everything you’d need for a relaxing holiday.

I loved reading about its history and development. We saw red kites, starlings, an owl, plenty of sheep and cattle around the property. The beds are comfortable and cosy. We explored lots of Mid and West Wales. Particular highlights were New Quay to see the dolphins (I’d recommend the fascinating trip) and Aberystwyth. Thanks for an amazing stay. We’d thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful remote cottage with all the amenities we required.

My only concern was the shower. It was extremely difficult to regulate the temperature and we had to resort to baths for the rest of the week (this wasn’t a problem btw but other holiday makers might have differing views). Overall we would be keen to return!

Bryndan has been lovingly renovated to a high standard and is set amongst really spectacular scenery, it’s a proper home from home in a rural setting and a very good base as there’s plenty to do in the area.

We liked it that much that we do hope to stay there again next year. Thank you to the owners for letting us share this lovely cottage

It was everything we needed it to be. Super peaceful, relaxing and natural, but close enough to town for amenities. It was lovely to see the progress of the build too. We absolutely loved it, you should be so proud!

The property was well maintained and host was extremely helpful and friendly.

The photos do not do the view justice, it is in a truly incredible location. The cottage is comfortable and clean and exactly what you need when coming home from a busy day out. The location is just outside of the action which means you have the benefit of being able to get to cheap and exciting activities quickly. However if you wanted to visit for a moment of peace and tranquility or a walking holiday there are so many wonderful places to explore.

Rooms very spacious, certainly for two. Property listing could helpfully mention existence of stair gate to keep pets downstairs and that cottage is right by the road (which was quiet during our stay). I'd say garden is informal rather than landscaped. Good access to several nature reserves for days out. Bathroom floor needs some attention:grouting in parts was loose .

Advertised as dog friendly but upon arrival note on a safety gate at foot of stairs states dog not allowed upstairs and in welcome pack states a £50 clean up fee will be charged if any hair found which should be notified before booking.

That said great location as a base to explore North Wales. Welcome bottle of Prosecco and filter coffee was a lovely gesture, shame we didn't meet the hosts. No mobile signal up here, free Wifi was welcome. Bed and pillows lush as was the hot tub. Cottage has been beautifully restored and has everything you need for your stay.

This was our second stay at Bryndan and was every bit as wonderful as the first.

We had a great relaxing time, the cottage has everything you need plus more and the hot tub and log burner are an excellent plus. Nestled away in the Cambrian mountains you really are at one with nature with no one near to bother you, we saw lots of red kite and had daily visits from Woodpeckers and Squirrels at the bird table. Bethan is a fantastic host, we didn’t see her the first time we stayed and when we did need her for something minor this time she was straight over to help and very warm and knowledgeable on the area without being at all intrusive. Thoroughly recommend this little piece of heaven and we will definitely be returning asap! Andy and Rachael

Perfect get away lovely relaxing and peaceful location.

Spotlessly clean.log burner made it lovey and cosy on an evening. Hot tub was great to chill in after long days out visiting local and surrounding areas. Would love to return one day

Easy and short journey times to several beaches and other stunning locations. Owners are responsive if needed and accommodating to our late arrival time. Hot Tub was perfectly placed to enjoy the views in complete privacy with the cottage having all the required facilities and beautifully clean. Can’t recommend highly enough.

A really lovely house in the mountains we lost the Wi-Fi half way through the week but managed without it.

Bring bird seed as sitting in the hot tub watching the feeders was awesome. Close enough to the shops and really good location for visiting the surrounding locations. A gem.

The cottage is very clean and well appointed. Everything needed for a weeks holiday is provided. The hot tub was also very clean. There are lots of good walks nearby over the hills or through woodland and a supermarket 4 miles away in Machynlleth. There is an electric car charger 18 miles away in Aberystwyth.

Hello, we had a really nice time at the cottage and found it very homely and relaxing.

Really enjoyed our stay, lovely cottage, fantastic views.

I sent my parents on holiday for their anniversary and they loved going back.

Bryndan is in a very quiet, peaceful area. There are plenty of walks around as long as you take a map, and they loved being able to use the garden and hot tub too.

We had a wonderful week.

The absolute bonus was the bird life in the garden and the view. The hot tub within those surroundings was fantastic we didn’t need any more especially with the lovely weather. Just one suggestion my husband would have appreciated a sun umbrella as he prefers shade.

Bryndan is a dream cottage, renovated to a high quality but still has that homely feel.

Set in a stunning location. We had a lovely week, even the weather was nice for our sightseeing days out.

Superb Property with wonderful hosts

Had an absolutely amazing week here in October.

The house is beautiful, and the story of the renovation of the house is fabulous. Everything has been done to such a high standard. There’s zero phone signal anywhere in or near the house if you’re with EE, but the Wi-Fi is ok so don’t have to be completely cut off unless you want to be. The rooms are gorgeous and the beds are so comfy. The setting is absolutely idyllic. I’ve recommended this home to all of my friends and will definitely be back! There was a lovely touch of a bottle of bubbly waiting for us when we arrived and sitting in the hot tub while the sun rises with only sheep for company is the best way to start the day.

We stayed here for a week in August and had an absolutely wonderful stay.

The cottage was beautiful, clean and well equipped. The views were stunning. Beth was a wonderful host - extremely helpful with anything we asked. Would highly recommend Bryndan for a quiet, peaceful and relaxed getaway.

We found the cottage exactly as photos very clean and comfortable .

A credit to Bethan and family . Bethan was very helpful and friendly went out of her way to find two extra outdoor chairs for us . When the Wi Fi went of they came immediately to fix it . We would recommend the cottage to anyone definite 5 star . Unfortunately not somewhere we will return as suffering Arthritis and being 83 the surrounding area though beautiful the terrain just to difficult for me personally. A gem in Sykes .

Excellent cottage, superb location.

Very helpful owner. Very clean and well-equipped, although could have been better organised as far as the supply and storage of essential items was concerned. This is an old miner's cottage, superbly located and sympathetically converted. However not ideal for people of limited mobility, due to steep indoor staircase and difficulty manoeuvring baggage and other items indoors and between car and cottage. During our stay, we learned that the owners also had alternative nearby properties, all on one level, which would have been more suitable for us.

This was our second visit to Bryndan and hopefully it won't be our last.

Our first visit was during last Autumn and we decided to see what it would be like there during the Spring. The cottage was just as wonderful as our first visit. Bethan was the same exceptional host as last time. But on this occasion we had the added pleasures of watching new born lambs in the neighbouring fields, the countryside festooned with loads of daffodils and some pretty amazing weather! Bryndan is a magical place. I wonder what it's like in the Summer?!

Superb Property - Wonderful Host

Beautifully refurbished miners cottage, with beams and plenty of room.

Central heating and double glazing. Beautiful views of forest and trees and red kites.

We had a wonderful stay at Bryndan in March 2022.

The cottage is so homely yet keeps its original charm and has everything you need to enjoy your time in such a beautiful scenic location. It was so very clean and comfortable. We loved the Hot tub with its lovely views and the log burner. The garden was perfect for our dog as it is fully enclosed, but may not be for smaller dogs. Lots of wonderful walks and places to see nearby, but you will need a car to get around. The owners were really friendly and helpful too. Bryndan’s quiet location was just what we needed to get away from it all and relax!

Signage on the property could be improved, on the main gate and on the side of the building as it could be quite hard to find Also the WiFi kept dropping out and we found it difficult to watch on demand tv

We've just returned from a wonderful week in Bryndan.

If you are looking for a peaceful retreat with all mod cons at your disposal, then this is the place! The cottage is lovely - clean, comfortable, well resourced and full of character. The local scenery is breathtaking, and the wildlife is varied and fascinating to watch. Bryndan is also a good base to tour the many popular, and not so well known, attractions in mid and north Wales. Bethan is an amazing host, warm and welcoming and always available to assist if needed. What more could you ask for?

Excellent restoration of cottage.

All modern equipment installed but have kept the original cottage feel. Very peaceful and quiet and Bethan the owner could not be more helpful. Well positioned to visit a wide range of attractions. Reilly be returning next year.

Bryndan is a fantastic cottage set in a quiet rural location.

We had a wonderful time with some excellent walks on your door step and the unspoilt Welsh coast only a short drive away. A must for those seeking an escape from the pressures of modern day life.

We stayed for a week at Bryndan.

The cottage is in such a quiet spot with lovely views towards the mountains. Also the wildlife in the garden was great to see. The cottage is warm and comfortable and the hot tub is a wonderful treat to come back to at the end of a day walking. Bethan, the owner of the property, is on hand if needed and came around to introduce herself. Nothing appears to much trouble. We have stayed in several cottages on the Sykes website and Bryndan is right up there with the best.

Just returned from a lovely stay at Bryndan Cottage.

We wanted to get away for a few days following the end of the fire break lockdown in Wales and what a great place we picked. The cottage was set in beautiful, quiet surrounds and the the cottage itself was done out to a high standard. It's well stocked and clean with plenty of nice touches such as a log burner for cosy evenings and a hot tub overlooking farm lands. Highly recommend Bryndan cottage for anyone like us who just wants to get away for a few days and enjoy a change of scenery. Thankyou

Excellent cottage set in a rural location but close enough to local amenities and the Snowdonia National Park.

Cottage has many of the original features and the hot tub is perfect, with views of the surrounding countryside. Hosts were very helpful and would definitely recommend the cottage to others.

Perfectly situated in the midst of so much natural beauty; this cottage was perfect for us.

We had two teenagers and a dog with us and we all felt so at home. Bethan was a great host and it was lovely to meet her. We had an incredibly restful break and enjoyed the magnificent scenery and - of course - the lovely hot tub.

The house and location is perfect for a family holiday - it was just what we needed.

..! We're planning to return and enjoy more that's on offer in the area but we enjoyed some relaxing evenings in the hot tub just watching the red kites and the mist on the nearby hills.

We had a lovely week at Bryndan Cottage, near enough to Machynlleth a pretty village, for shopping, but far enough away for complete peace and quiet other than the odd car or two on the road above.

We only used the Hot Tub once due to adverse weather conditions, but it was blissful, the stars were so bright with no light pollution. The surrounding areas are beautiful and we saw all manner of wildlife, we bought bird seed and outside the cottage turned into an aviary. Bethan contacted us prior to our arrival and then again the day before to warn us of the weather conditions for driving. The cottage itself is perfect, comfortable beds, cosy log burner, easy to use and good quality appliances, we will definitely be returning and would have no hesitation in recommending Bryndan to family and friends.

The owners are wonderful, they kept in contact during some severe weather and even offered to collect items from tbe town incase we weren't comfortable driving in the snow.

The house exceeded our expectations, it was one of the best we have ever visited. The views were far reaching with rolling hills and deep valleys to explore, at night the sky was full of stars due to the dark sky location of the house. We were able to visit the main seaside resorts in the area within a short drive away and spent an interesting day at the centre for alternative technology. If you are looking for a top quality holiday, then Bryndan is the place to go, the owner Bethan makes sure everything is A ok and the hot tub is fired up for use, all week!
