“Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location.”

We had a great time here for a short summer break. The cottage is fantastically equipped with great views of the countryside and the sea which can all be enjoyed from the hot tub! The owners were very helpful and have done a great job converting this into an excellent holiday home. Thanks Liz and Rob for a lovely break.

About the location

TALYBONT

Aberystwyth: 8.4miles

The village of Talybont stands on the Afon Leri, and Afon Ceulan riversides in the area of Genau'r Glyn. Resting halfway between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth. There is a popular tavern in the local area; Y Llew Gwyn (The White Lion), well worth a visit, serving delicious home cooked meals and an array of tipples, whilst also welcoming well-behaved dogs onto its grounds. The village is orientated around mining and woolen mills and is currently known as the base of leading Welsh publisher, Y Lolfa, which produces Welsh fiction and factual titles. You cannot miss the mural by local artist Ruth Jên of Welsh heroes and characters situated in the centre of the village. Aberystwyth is nearby and has an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, here you can also visit the steam railway!

Note- there are currently  no facilities for charging electric vehicles at this property and it is not permitted to charge from the property itself- If you require this facility you would need to locate a local service for this in the town of Aberystwyth.
