“Great place to stay.”

A very well appointed property with 3 excellent double bedrooms and an additional twin room. Plenty of bathrooms and a downstairs toilet and shower room. Spacious and well appointed kitchen and a nice lounge area. The view outside is exceptional both from the patio and the lower garden. New Quay is a small, friendly resort with enough places to eat and drink

“The positive aspect of this property is the decking & garden aspect.”

It is good quality & has excellent views. The summer house is first class, as are the outside chairs & tables. Unfortunately, that’s where the ‘luxury ends’. The property was not clean. When I first enter a property I go around the touch points & clean them. These were not clean. The radiators in the bathrooms were black with dust & the grouting behind the sink in the kitchen needs attention. Also, the paintwork needs cleaning doors, banister etc. The property also needs some TLC in the form of decorating. Last but not least the toilet brush in the bathroom we used was disgustingly filthy. I don't expect this any of this in any property & least of all one which is described as 'luxury'. I did look in the hot tub & unsurprisingly this was also not clean. I have made the owner of the property aware of the issues. It was a great shame as it is in great location & could be a lovely holiday get away.

“We had an amazing stay in Fronwig, New Quay.”

Fronwig is absolutely perfect - spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. The location couldn’t have been better, just a short walk to the bars, restaurants, shops and the beach. One of the highlights was seeing porpoises every morning and evening from the beach and Fronwig , which made the trip even more special. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Quay. Thank you!

“We had a fabulous stay at Fronwig, perfect location, just a stroll to cafes, bars, restaurants & harbour.”

The view was unbeatable & the summer house a perk for those breezy days which still allowed dolphin spotting (seen daily from the garden) The house suited our 7 adult family from 3 generations & puppy, lots of options for bathrooms! The parking spot accommodated our son’s small car but unsuitable for the other 2 larger vehicles but on street parking available out of season. If we all get together again for a family holiday this would definitely but our number one choice of accommodation. Thank you Fronwig!

“We got lucky with the weather but this was the perfect pad for a beautiful stay in New Quay.”

The property is well equipped, spacious, clean and in a spectacular location. The owner pulled out all the stops and communicated well to help the stay go without a hitch. There is nothing I would change and I’ve already recommended the place to all who would listen. Very likely to revisit sometime soon.

“Fantastic property both in location and facilities.”

Ideally placed to walk into the town and the beach in a minute or two. The views from the patio and the lawn (Summer house) are fantastic and made all the more special being able to watch the dolphins swimming around in the bay. The house is well equipped in all respects and provided fantastic accommodation for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. If we return to New Quay this house would be our first choice

“Fantastic property and location.”

Right in the centre, near the beach, harbour, pubs and shops. Our family, of all ages enjoyed the stay, even our dog. We’re looking to come back again. The parking space is tight and wasn’t big enough for any of our cars, which wasn’t a problem as we unloaded the cars and left them on a car park for the duration of our stay with a weeks ticket on and they didn’t move until we left as we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. “Beautiful location with an amazing view.”

Bedrooms bright and airy Bathrooms smelly, maybe issues with drains, the far bedroom we didn’t use as en-suite smelt. Describes an adjoining bedroom with en-suite, there wasn’t one. No oven dishes for cooking which made doing family meals very difficult.

Glad you liked the location. We have been looking into the issue with the bathroom smells and the water board have been doing some work on drains and pipe work locally which should address this issue. There are definitely two ensuite bedrooms at Fronwig, as listed on Sykes website, the main/master bedroom and the 2nd ensuite. There is also a bathroom with shower and loo etc on the first floor, as well as a shower room with toilet and a separate toilet on the ground floor, as we wanted to be sure there were enough facilities for larger groups. There is a range of large pans for cooking in the oven but I will add some more bowls/dishes to ensure that all styles of cooking can be accommodated. Thank you for pointing this out. Property Owner

“Fronwig is a great location with amazing views.”

For a 5 star property we expected a few more of the basics to be right though. Needs a better equipped kitchen, baking trays for cooking, chipped mugs to be replaced, kitchen roll etc. Hand towel in the downstairs toilet and handwash. The welcome pack was probably the most underwhelming we have ever had, a pint of milk, and a couple of tea bags is a small cost but always appreciated after a long journey, instead of just a bara brith cake. Be prepared to spend a few hours getting the hot tub filled and the water warm. The garden was secure for the dogs (just one section where, if your dog is inclined, by the front gate, they can get on top of the wall and out). The bedrooms are all a great size with basic furnishings. Overall it’s a beautiful spacious house, could just do with a few more home from home comforts for the price. Do take note of the house info about the parking space being tight, it certainly is if you have a big car.

“Absolutely perfect stay.”

Great location. Lovely house, with excellent facilities. Loved the Hot Tub and the downstairs shower was super handy after a day on the beach. Being able to carry SUP boards off the beach and leave in the garden saved a lot of pumping!
