Pondarosa

Property was exactly as described and spotlessly clean.

Very well equipped and comfortable, it had everything we needed for a family break. My only comment is that I asked a question by text a couple of times to the number provided on the booking confirmation and had no reply, maybe the number needs checking.

Pomdarosa was a fantastic home-base for our group as we enjoyed a golfing weekend away in Wales.

The owners had thought of everything we could possibly need so we had a wonderfully relaxed weekend. The games room and hot tub were phenomenal add-ons to an already great property, and while the contact we needed to have with the owners was minimal, they were incredibly friendly when we did speak with them. I honestly couldn't recommend a stay here enough!

We had a lovely 4 night stay at Pondarosa for a family get together.

We were a party of 11 and there was plenty of room for us all, especially in the living room, kitchen and garden. All facilities were as described and we particularly enjoyed the hot tub and games room. Welcome gifts were a nice touch and the owners were thoughtful and responsive. Location was good for what we needed, with two pubs and a small village shop nearby. Overall, we had a great stay and created many happy memories

Our second stay at Pondarosa it is a lovely home for 12 people and a baby.

The house is well equipped and very comfortable. The hot tub and games room are great at the end of a busy day as was the seating in the sunny garden. Good communication with the friendly owners.

We stayed for New Years, what a fantastic house!

It had everything we needed and was so comfortable and clean! We had a brilliant time and the beds were so comfy! It was cold weather but the house was lovely and warm and log burner was an added bonus along with the hot tub.

An absolutely lovely place, surprisingly equipped and evidently maintained with detail.

Services are amazing, with a hottub, games room, and enough space to give a large group some well needed relaxation time. Easily houses 12 and has a homely and warm atmosphere. The Owners are incredibly nice and will make you feel welcomed, with warm messages and gifts upon arrival. Heating is lovely, and customisable per room. The fireplace and large living area made an amazing hangout space, had a great time, definitely will be booking again in the near future!

What can wr say other than an amazingly beautiful holiday home with everything needed to enjoy a relaxing well deserved break away for 7 hard working ladies who needed to get away from it all.

.. We celebrated an early Xmas so did Xmas eve Xmas day and boxing day over the weekend stay... We had a blast and loved it... The local pub around the corner had a cheeky visit from us and the well equipped shop was a godsend for those forgotten items.... The owners came to check up on us to make sure everything was OK which was lovely of them.... Definitely recommend and will return... Fabulous girlie weekend break...

We had a fabulous weekend at Ponderosa.

There’s was so much space for our party of 12. The layout, the games room, the hot tub were all fantastic. I can’t speak highly enough of the place. Lovely outside area to which I’m sure would be even better in the summer months. It’s a short walk to the local shop and post office if you’ve forgotten any essentials and also 2 local pubs, both welcoming. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more.

The combination of rooms and bathrooms was great, the kitchen was well stocked and the property very clean, large and comfortable.

Easy to find using the specific directions. Within walking distance of two pubs; we went to the closest, which was small and very much a locals pub! but very welcoming and good, pub grub. The photo of the property gave the impression of being in expansive grassy grounds; it was a house amongst other houses, on a corner plot with the majority of the garden open and on the road, caught the sun though! The table and hot tub were at the back and didn't catch the sun. Neither of these things would stop it being a good entertainment space, it is just the photo is deceptive. Had a great time, would stay again!

The pondarosa was such a beautiful place to stay with family while celebrating a 50th birthday.

The owners had really thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. The games room was a massive hit in the evenings. Will recommend to other family and friends

It was comfortable, clean and well equipped. There was plenty of room and the hot tub was clean. The games room was a lovely touch and the owners were friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. We really appreciated everything!

We had a fantastic stay at Ponderosa as a large group.

The house was even better than the photos and the communal spaces were uniquely large enough to fit all of us. Something that isn't always apparent in other holiday lets. The bedrooms were all a great size and there were so many combinations for sleeping that we could have had. The games room and hot tub were a great addition and actually we ended up spending so much time at the house and the lovely river which is a short walk down the road, we didn't need to travel far to have a great time. The local residence were very friendly and helpful. We couldn't recommend it more.

Property was lovely overall - clean and plenty kitchen equipment which we welcomed.

Comfy beds and nice towels - showers were brilliant although my elderly parents could have done with a mat inside shower to help prevent slipping. Only 1 small hairdryer which was fine between 4 of us but might be better to have a 2nd for larger groups. Great location for exploring towns and villages in the area. Hot tub great addition as was games room and beer fridge! I was expecting a bbq (it wasn’t on listing I think I spotted one on one photograph) so slightly disappointed there wasn’t one but overall really happy thank you. (Personally not a fan of owners popping round - when I hire a property I want privacy but they were very pleasant and friendly and I realise on some occasions maintenance is necessary). Recommend this lovely spacious house to others.

Great place for a family get together for 10 people.

The owners were very friendly and gave us a few good tips for things to do. The hot tub was well maintained with the owners coming round to check it out on a daily basis. We all had a great holiday and would fully recommend the property.

We enjoyed using all facilities and the owners are very lovely and communicated with us well. I would highly recommend Pondarosa, views were gorgeous too and we definitely will be coming back again

What a beautiful house this is!

It had everything we needed and more. It catered well for 11 of us, and the living room was fantastic for everyone to be together to socialise on the evening. The bonus was the games room, where we had the best time competing in Wales v England…. England won, of course

A wonderful home for a large group everything possible was provided, it was immaculate and very comfortable.

The hot tub was a big hit as was the outdoor seating which given the unseasonable lovely weather we were able to take advantage of. The house is in a great location, easily accessible with a shop zand pubs within a short walk. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We’re looking forward to staying again. Thank you.

Visited over Easter for my daughter’s hen weekend (3 generations of family & friends).

Everything from start to finish was amazing. Communication I had with the owners before the stay was excellent. They made a recommendation for a pottery class for us which was 10 minutes away which we all loved. The big table in the kitchen was the centre of our weekend, from eating meals together to playing Prosecco pong on games night! Everything had been thought of from extra towels for the hot tub (which was very relaxing) to the welcome basket of goodies (thank you). The house was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities we needed. It was a lovely chilled weekend of celebrations which is just what my daughter wanted. Would definitely book to come back and visit again. Thank you.

A lovely property, good spec overall and well equipped.

The owners were very helpful and made sure we were comfortable in our stay. A little less grass out door space then we were expecting from the photos but this was a minor point. The one downside was the seating in the living room made it difficult for us all to sit together in this space but the kitchen and outside space was fab for all getting together. We had a great stay and would consider it again in the future.

Ponderosa is a beautiful property in mid Wales.

We visited as a group of friends to celebrate our birthdays and found the cottage to be spacious, comfortable, well equipped and the hot tub was fantastic. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this property.

Had a fantastic stay with family and friends, the property was very modernly decorated, with great facilities especially the hot tub and games room, bedrooms and layout was perfect.

The accommodations were spacious and perfect for a large family gathering, the added bonus - the pool table and hot tub, which meant all our age ranges were happy. Lots of lovely walks in the surrounding area meant you weren’t travelling far to explore. Perhaps an additional coat rack in the hall would be useful. Would highly recommend this cottage.

We stayed at the Ponderosa for my Dad's 80th birthday celebrations and it was just perfect!

The layout was fantastic and spotlessly clean. Lots of fun in the hot tub and games room. We loved everything about it especially the rocking chairs in the lounge, perfect for grandad! All the essentials in the kitchen provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Absolutely faultless !

! So welcoming, a homely home we’d all be happy to escape to any day of the year.. very rarely visit places twice or three times, but this property has changed this, planning on staying again in 2025.. proper R&R… the owners aught to be so proud.. what’s a beautiful home.

A wonderfully warm, comfortable, clean property.

Large modern rooms with all the eqipment you could want. Small items like soap, toilet rolls, bin bags all provided. The undercover hot tub was amazing. The games room a great facility although a bit chilly. The local pubs and shop were very welcoming and reasonably priced.Would highly recommend to all.

A great venue for a family get together.

It’s like the tardis as from the road, it just looks like a standard bungalow. But open the door and it’s a bit of a cavern. It’s a well appointed cavern at that, lovely bedrooms and living room was very comfortable. The courtyard was very nice, but sadly a bit too cold to eat out whilst we were there. The games room in the converted garage was brilliant, but the pool games could be heard in the adjacent bedroom, so don’t put children in that one! It is a more residential area than we originally assumed, though it wasn’t an issue for us. Great access for a walk down along the Wye and a short drive to explore the Elan Valley.

This was a lovely surprise!

The property was clean and very spacious. The fire was all ready to go, and the hot tub, with its lights around it, was so inviting – perfect for jumping straight in and relaxing. We hired this space for a 40th birthday celebration, and it was ideal. There are loads of rooms to choose from, so everyone can find a spot to settle down, and best of all, there are two pubs just a few minutes’ walk away. There was plenty of space for cars, and we enjoyed a lovely walk down to the river. We spent a lot of time in the games room, which was a real treat if you’re into darts or pool. The village was incredibly welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend this property for large groups!

Lovely and spacious. Clean and comfy. Hot tub great. Didn't get chance to play pool.and darts but will next time. Great communication with the owners (Helen). I did have to ring Helen due to no reply to my email from sykes prior to our visit. She was very accommodating

We had an amazing time at Pondarosa!

The property is lovely, with lots of space and the everything we could need. We loved the hot tub, and the fact the hosts came to check the water quality every day was really reassuring. It rained quite a bit during our weekend stay, but we didn't mind as we played in the games room and had plenty of space to be indoors together. We hope to visit again in future. :-)

We visited the Pondarosa for a 40th birthday weekend with family.

The house was well equipped with everything we could need. There were lots of little touches that made our stay very comfortable, and we felt that the owners really had thought of everything. The games room had lots of things to keep the children entertained. There was plenty of space for the 12 of us to sit inside or outside together. The hottub was a hit for the kids! Would definitely stay again.
