The property

Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant 2 miles.

A spacious, detached barn conversion set in rolling countryside, on the slopes of Glan Hafon in the Tanat Valley, two miles from the village of Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant and fifteen miles west of Oswestry.

Adjacent to the owners' 430-acre working sheep farm and with delightful views past the farmhouse, Castell Courtyard has been carefully renovated to provide a purpose-built, luxury holiday home in a wonderful setting.

Upon arrival you’ll enjoy private parking, with steps down to the property, and enter into a galleried hall with a mezzanine balcony and a refectory dining table, which then opens into the beautifully-appointed kitchen with a further dining table, granite worktops and carefully planned working area, centring around a large island with breakfast bar seating.

Two steps lead down into the sitting room, which provides a welcoming seating area along with Freeview TV, and it’s large enough to offer further space towards the back of the room.

A second sitting room with a woodburner provides a great chill-out area for adults and children, with a further Freeview TV plus an additional gaming TV and console.

This delightful cottage offers eleven stylish bedrooms, six of which benefit from their own en-suite facilities, and are spread across three wings, accessed up three separate staircases.

Completing the accommodation are three family bathrooms and a generous utility room, showing that the owners have tried to think of everything to ensure that you have a wonderful stay.

Outside you will find a superb hot tub and sheltered patio area with BBQ, along with a large terraced suntrap patio with sunken lawn, where you can relax and enjoy the delightful views whilst children play safely.

During lambing season the owners welcome those wishing to help bottle-feed the lambs, which will delight both children and adults, and doorstep paths lead out into unspoilt countryside and into the nearby village where you can visit the scenic waterfalls or enjoy a drink at one of several pubs.

Lake Vyrnwy is within a fifteen minute drive and allows you to enjoy the beautiful Berwyn Mountains at their very best, whilst providing a host of sporting and leisure activities, including sailing and cycle hire.

An ideal destination for friends or extended family to get together and relax in a stunning holiday cottage.
