“Great Accommodation, comfortable and well appointed.”

The 4 bedrooms all with en-suite was a major benefit, plus there was a cloakroom by the living area too! Nice and remote with good views over the hills.

The property

Llanrhaeadr-Ym-Mochnant 1.8 miles.

Y Beudy (The Dairy) is a beautifully crafted barn conversion set within the far‑reaching scenery of the Berwyn Mountains in North Wales, with the dramatic Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall close by.

Well suited to families and groups of friends, it combines thoughtful design with indulgent extras such as a private hot tub, a woodburning stove and access to a shared games room, creating a relaxed getaway for all generations.

Part of the Castellmoch Collection, the property sits among a cluster of converted buildings while still enjoying a reassuring sense of privacy and individuality.

Arriving beneath wide open skies, step straight into the open‑plan living space where tiled floors stretch beneath exposed wooden beams and guide you towards a characterful brick chimney breast, the woodburning stove casting a gentle warmth after days outdoors.

This is a space made for unwinding together, whether sinking into the sofa, spreading out on the corner seating with a film playing on the Smart TV, or taking a quiet moment in the hanging chair with a drink in hand.

The dining area flows naturally alongside, centred around a generous table that invites long meals and easy conversation, while the kitchen keeps everyone connected with its striking black wall tiles, fresh white cabinetry and breakfast bar, perfect for gathering as supper takes shape on the hob.

Tucked discreetly beyond, the utility room adds extra worktop space and laundry facilities, keeping practical essentials close without interrupting the calm of the main living areas.

On the ground floor, two restful bedrooms offer comfortable, level access living, each brightened by natural light and finished with warm wooden floors, soft rugs, king‑size beds and sleek en‑suite shower rooms.

Upstairs, carpeted floors lead to the remaining bedrooms, including the principal suite where a king‑size bed is paired with an en‑suite bathroom featuring a corner bath and walk‑in shower, ideal for slow evenings and unhurried starts.

One bedroom is enhanced by an exposed stone wall, adding subtle texture and a sense of the building’s history, while zip‑and‑link beds throughout allow the sleeping arrangements to flex easily around your group.

Outside, the enclosed garden offers a peaceful place to spend lazy hours, with space for children to roam on the lawn, a patio ready for shared meals, and the hot tub beckoning as the air cools and twilight settles across the hills.

Beyond your own space, communal areas add another layer to the experience, from light‑hearted games in the shared games room to sociable afternoons in the communal garden, where picnic benches, barbecues and a children’s play area encourage everyone to relax and savour time together in this tranquil part of Wales.

Y Beudy (The Dairy) offers a memorable retreat for enjoying the natural beauty of the region.
