The property

Llanrhaeadr-Ym-Mochnant 1.8 miles.

Y Granar (The Granary) is an elegant barn conversion on the edge of Llanrhaeadr‑ym‑Mochnant.

Offering far-reaching views across open countryside and the chance to unwind in the hot tub, this rural hideaway is well-suited to families and groups of friends.

Part of the Castellmoch Collection, the property sits alongside other conversions while retaining a sense of seclusion and individuality.

The arrival sets the tone, with a generous driveway bordered by broad lawns leading to private decking, where outdoor seating and the hot tub encourage long evenings as daylight fades over the landscape.

Beyond, the enclosed garden provides a more sheltered outdoor space to enjoy at a slower pace.

Indoors, tiled flooring flows into a bright, open-plan living area created for easy time together, with an exposed stone wall defining the sitting area, where a large corner sofa and armchairs face the mounted TV.

Close by, a woodburning stove adds warmth and atmosphere as the room comes into its own after dark.

The dining table and breakfast bar sit beneath a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, lending height and light to the kitchen and dining area, with the kitchen positioned at the far end of the space for relaxed, sociable cooking.

Everyday conveniences are close at hand, including a useful utility and cloakroom, while a secondary seating area between the main living space and the bedrooms offers a quieter place to unwind and provides access to the staircase leading upstairs.

On the ground floor, a king-size bedroom with an en‑suite wet room offers welcome privacy, while upstairs, two further bedrooms enjoy elevated views, with large Velux windows in two of the rooms opening onto uninterrupted countryside scenery.

A king-size bedroom with an en‑suite shower room sits alongside a super‑king‑size bedroom with an indulgent en‑suite bathroom, creating peaceful retreats at the end of the day.

Guests are also welcome to use the shared communal garden, complete with picnic benches and a barbecue, ideal for laid-back afternoons outdoors.

From soaking in the hot tub beneath a star-filled sky to waking to open views across the hills, Y Granar (The Granary) provides a polished yet inviting base for a memorable countryside escape.
