    “On arrival, the location itself was easy enough to find, however that was the only positive part of our stay.”

    As soon as we entered the lodge, we were met with a strong and unpleasant smell, which immediately gave a bad first impression and made the place feel unclean. We had multiple issues during our stay, including problems with the hot tub and the TV. The owner did come out to “help”, but repeatedly insisted that everything was working when it clearly was not. It felt dismissive and as though our concerns were not being taken seriously at all. Although the booking information states that guests ...

    As soon as we entered the lodge, we were met with a strong and unpleasant smell, which immediately gave a bad first impression and made the place feel unclean. We had multiple issues during our stay, including problems with the hot tub and the TV. The owner did come out to “help”, but repeatedly insisted that everything was working when it clearly was not. It felt dismissive and as though our concerns were not being taken seriously at all. Although the booking information states that guests can contact the lodge owners if there are any issues, throughout our entire stay our calls and messages were ignored. We received no replies, no call back, and no follow-up whatsoever. The overall hygiene of the lodge was extremely poor and unacceptable. The cups were dirty and had spiders inside them, there were cobwebs on the walls, and thick dust throughout the lodge. The toilet area was particularly bad — ornaments were heavily covered in dust, and it was obvious that proper cleaning had not been done for some time. This made us feel uncomfortable and concerned about cleanliness standards. When we asked for additional toilet roll, instead of being provided with it, we were told there was a local shop nearby. We found this response rude and unprofessional, especially considering the state of cleanliness in the lodge. Due to the amount of dust and the general unhygienic condition of the property, we ended up leaving early. We made the owners aware of all of these issues before leaving, yet even after our departure we still have not received any response, message, or call. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The lack of cleanliness, poor communication, dismissive attitude, and unacceptable level of service made this stay extremely unpleasant. We would not recommend this lodge to others.

Llandrindod Wells is a lighthearted, friendly town situated in the county of Powys, within the historic boundaries of Radnorshire, Wales. There are some notable landmarks within the town, including architectural buildings in ornate styles dating from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Llandrindod Wells Victorian Festival, known locally as 'Victorian Week', takes place at the end of August, bringing many tourists to the lively town. Some people like to go-all-out and look the part in Victorian, Edwardian or other antique costumes, and many of the high-street shops dress their windows, in spirit of the event. There is a wide range of entertainment available in the town each year; hosted at The Albert Hall Theatre, Pavilion Mid Wales, which brings Live Music, Comedy and Theatre and Radnor Fringe Festival which is held within the Rock Park. The lake in Llandrindod Wells is part of the town's Victorian history and still remains a popular attraction today, it is a lovely location to bring a picnic with the family. For all you bowling enthusiasts there is The Radnor Indoor Bowls Centre along with the Outdoor Bowling Club for an afternoon of local sports. If you fancy exploring some of the history around the town there is The Radnorshire Museum, The Rock Park & Heritage Centre and The National Cycle Museum, all for your discovery. The Thomas Jones Statue on Temple Gardens is also worth a visit as you stroll across the gardens.
