“We have just had a wonderful little break here, 2 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 kids and two medium/large dogs.”
There was plenty of space, all the rooms were clean and well kept.
There is decking which is lovely to sit out in the sun and in the evenings, even seen the red kite flying about. The decking also looks over the orchard, it is beautiful to walk round.
Perfect as a base to go and see different places or even just to relax. Couple of castles near by that I explored with the kids.
Host were brilliant and easy to get hold of if needed. My only recommendation for this place is maybe a gate near the decking steps so that dogs and little ones can’t escape, we just moved the bench over so wasn’t an issue really for us at all, would definitely go back.
Thank you

About the location
MONTGOMERY
Churchstoke 4.5 miles; Bishop's Castle 9.5 miles; Welshpool 5.8 miles
The town of Montgomery sits just one mile from the border of England in Mid Wales. Popular with tourists, the town has a delightful selection of individual shops and a variety of pubs and restaurants, including the Michelin star restaurant, The Checkers, a fabulous way to make your holiday truly special. Pay a visit to the ruins of the 13th century Montgomery Castle, which enjoys beautiful views over the town’s timber-framed houses and cobbled streets, and beyond across Wales. The castle also hosts productions of touring theatre groups regularly during the summer. A few miles to the south is the historic market town of Bishop's Castle, an excellent place for a day or night out with its excellent pubs, live music and festivals throughout the year. The wider area is wonderful for walking and there are many cycle routes in the surrounding countryside with varying levels of difficulty. You can venture further into Wales with a drive up to the Snowdonia National Park, or directly west to Cardigan Bay, for the day, or hop back over the border and explore the Shropshire Hills AONB. A charming destination for a holiday.
