Yr Hen Beudy

From the moment we arrived at Yr Hen Beudy, we absolutely loved it.

The location is quiet and out of the way, just what we wanted and the accommodation itself is stunning, with everything provided you could wish for. The hot tub is fantastic and got plenty of use during our stay to help ease the effects of long days out enjoying the beautiful surrounding countryside and towns. The quality of the finish in the accommodation is excellent and we were genuinely sad to leave, as was our little dog who loved the enclosed garden! I have no hesitation in recommending anyone to stay here and would definitely return again in the future.

Amazing property!

Everything you needed was at hand. Rural peace and quiet but close enough to Aber and neighbouring villages. Could I possibly suggest maybe a couple of small desk fans to help in the heat if needed? A great week had by all.

Beautiful barn conversion.

Done to a high standard. Large bedrooms.well equipped kitchen. Lovely and warm . Very clean. Great views and away from it all. Dark skies . Jacuzi was clean and easy to use. Thank you

We had the perfect stay here!

Despite the weather being typically Welsh, this was one of the best holidays. The cottage was stunning, the area around was outstanding! We found plenty to do even with the rain and we found so many stunning walks for our 5 year old and Labrador! Will definitely be returning soon!

The accommodation was very spacious, comfortable and very well equipped.

It catered really well for our multi-generational needs. Would definitely book it again if back in the area.

What an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish, the property was extremely clean well equipped and even come with some nice free touches such as wine and milk.

Things needed for the first night after a long drive. The owner spoke with us about the check in and how to operate some of the appliances and hot tub etc. Very friendly and helpful indeed. We even tried to extend our stay and loved the property and area so much. Will definitely be revisiting my wife even wants to book Christmas stay here but as expected it is fully booked. What a lovely property and experience. 5 stars for us . Well done.

We had a fantastic weekend celebrating a birthday with a group of girls.

The property was perfect for our stay—comfortable, welcoming, and well-equipped. Mair, the owner, was absolutely brilliant—so helpful and friendly leading up/throughout our visit. We enjoyed a delicious meal from the local Chinese takeaway, which delivered straight to us with no hassle. On Saturday, we dined at the Halfway Inn, just a 5-minute drive away—a charming little pub with great food and atmosphere. Would definitely return and stay again. Highly recommended!

This was my second time visiting this delightful cottage.

Everything was as I remembered it but one thing was even better - a roof over the hot tub! This cottage is so homely and comfortable we did not want to leave. I am sure I will be visiting again in the not so near future.

What a beautiful holiday home!

Everything you could need; the most comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, great power showers, two areas to sit and relax outside and an out of this world hot tub. The only downside for us and our 4 legged friend was that we were surrounded by beautiful countryside but there was no access to walk and enjoy it - the property is down single track lanes which were hairy to drive, let alone walk in! This was the only disappointment for us ( and Ted!) but otherwise a beautiful, chilled week. Mair and Huw (property owners) were so friendly and helpful when we spoke to them too - thank you

What a Superb Property, Outstanding.

Suited our needs to perfection. Sykes high standards combined with the owners attention to detail was very evident. Mair the owner was extremely helpful, very friendly and the oversee of her property clearly shown with considerable care and consideration. I would therefore highly recommend a holiday at the property and location. Having used the company Sykes on several occasions, this is the first time that we have asked for information from an owner regarding the make of a product, namely a mattress, as well as the Sheets because we want to replicate. Well done.

We had a lovely stay at Yr Hen Beudy.

The cottage was well equipped and had everything you'd need for your stay. The cottage has two gardens, both of which are enclosed which was great for the dog. We thought the hottub would be in the larger, back garden where the lawn is but it was actually in the front patio area. Either way, the hot tub was great and used most days to relax after walks. The cottage has a lovely wood burner and logs were provided which we appreciated very much! They have a fire stick in the living room TV so you can log into Netflix etc. The only downside for me was the pillows as I found them all extremely lumpy. The mattress was very comfy though! Thanks for a lovely stay :)

The cottage was lovely and warm and very clean.

Televisions in all bedrooms , and an enclosed garden which was great for the dog. Bedrooms very good size , the beds very comfortable and 3 bathrooms which was wonderful. Beautiful view from back garden over the countryside. Had a lovely meal at Y farmers pub approx 5 mins drive. Would recommend and stay again. Very quiet and peaceful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yr Hen Beudy.

It provided a comfortable retreat after our busy days discovering the sights and delights of the area. Although the farm was very close by we had no disturbance, the only noise being from the local jackdaws and overhead kites calling, much to our delight as keen birdwatchers. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

A great cottage in a wonderful location' everything is thought of by the owners for a great holiday' the hot tub was great after exploring the local area' and the local pub the YF Farmers is a must great food' and locals very welcoming' would definitely come back.

We’ve just returned from our week stay at Yr Hen Beudy, we fell in love it and will definitely be returning again!

It is so spacious and modern and in a great location. Hot tub was a massive bonus and was lovely even on the days where it rained. Mair is very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It was very clean and felt like a home from home. 100% recommend ❤️

Absolutely stunning property and had a wonderful stay

We came to stay for my Husbands 50th birthday, the house is fantastic, having worked in the tourist industry for many years, we found Yr Hen Beudy to be one of the nicest places we’ve seen.

We travelled around Wales and were really fortunate with the weather as we could’ve been abroad. We can highly recommend Y Ffarmers in the next village Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn, we visited a couple of times. We can’t wait to go back

Mair the owner was very accommodating.

Always on hand for questions, advice where to go and helpful. The property was well kept and the rural location gives a sense of calmness if you’re used to city life.

Lovely welcome basket on arrival. Facilities perfect, hot tub upgraded from pictures!! Overall a fantastic stay and the perfect way to bring in the new year.

It was a property which lived up to our expectations as described on the site. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and perfect for the needs of a group aged from 4 - 77! We would certainly think seriously about returning for another holiday.

Lovely cottage with everything we needed.

The fittings and decor were excellent. Really enjoyed the hot tub, the automatic cover was so easy to raise and lower and gave us shelter when it rained. The wine and cookies left by the owner were much appreciated. This was our second visit to the area and we really enjoyed our stay.

This cottage was absolutely amazing.

The owner was brilliant and accommodate us by allowing for our bags to be dropped off early and then we could go out and enjoy our first day before returning and unpacking the bags. The photos don’t show beautiful the cottage actually is and the hot tub was a great hit!!! Thanks for having us

What a Beautiful Cottage with breathtaking views.

..... just a perfect family weekend away. Situated 5 miles outside of Aberystwyth , approx 15min car journey, a town with plenty do to and see. I can highly recommend the Hafod Restaurant in Devils Bridge for a 5* supper. Absolutely everything you can think of is available at the cottage with a bonus of a hot tub to relax and unwid. The owner was so friendly and accommodating. We will 100% be booking again. Diolch eto.

We had a wonderful stay, the property was ideal for leaving the real world behind for a while, very comfortable beds and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need, the hot tub was an added bonus.

We were able to watch the starlings start their fly past in the evenings, red kites riding the thermals and listened to tawny owls in the fields.

The cottage was excellent and everything we needed for our short break.

The quality and standard of the cottage was very high and had everything we would need. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a rural holiday.

The website photographs do not do this property justice as it was beyond our expectations.

The beds were to die for, the log burner was amazing and the views were outstanding. The hot tub was rather special even in the rain ( we would recommend adding a cover to it). We had the most spectacular stay and we didn't want to leave. All in all a triumphant weeks holiday!

Stunning cottage in a rural location but only 5 miles away by car to Aberystwyth centre.

Cottage was very clean and comfortable and the hosts exceptionally welcoming leaving flowers and Welsh cakes for our arrival! Unfortunately we had a car accident on the way to the cottage and we’re unable to get home as planned, the host was extremely supportive and accommodating throughout the situation and we are very thankful! Would recommend to anyone looking for a rural country break. Our party was 6 adults and one baby, plenty of room ensuring you are not on top of each other. Hot tub also a nice touch

This cottage is very tastefully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable.

The beds are extremely comfortable with soft yet supportive mattresses, the sofas and seating areas are cosy, the woodburning stove is large,(even though it looks small in the photo) and the views from the garden are right across the valley and fields. It's a lovely location to really get away from it all with lots of great places to visit for walks. Mair, the owner, is also very attentive and quick to respond if you need anything at all and I have never stayed in a holiday home that was so CLEAN! When we arrived there was a bottle of wine and flowers to welcome us and the jacuzzi is of a high standard with powerful jets.

The property was much better than listed on the Sykes website.

The owner was available to deal with any issues - not that there were any and was very helpful with local knowledge of where to eat and things to do. The property was of a very high standard and situated within a rural tranquil environment that I would recommend.
