The property

Nestled on the outskirts of New Cross, in the Ceredigion district of Wales, is this charming cottage, Yr Hen Beudy.

The property has been renovated into a stylish and contemporary base, whilst still in keeping with its period features such as the exposed beams, feature stone wall and mezzanine area located in the eaves.

Be welcomed into a large open-plan living space, complete with a well-equipped kitchen featuring black granite worktops and units.

This room also holds a dining space where you can come together as a family and enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal and toast to a wonderful holiday with a refreshing glass of bubbly in hand.

Cosy up together in the characterful sitting room with a large stone wall, two large sofas to curl up on and with a woodburning stove and underfloor heating throughout to provide that extra bit of warmth during those chillier winter months.

Choose from three well-presented bedrooms, set up as two king-sizes, a twin plus a separate mezzanine area holding a double sofa bed.

Each room comes with a selection of furniture for storing your personal belongings, whilst the two king-size bedrooms benefit from their own en-suite shower room.

A family bathroom can also be found here with an elegant bath and hand-held shower so you can enjoy a long soak after a tiring day.

To the front of the cottage is an enclosed garden with lawn and patio areas so you can enjoy a refreshing drink in the afternoon sun whilst your furry friends stretch their legs.

Or choose to enjoy a cool dip in the hot tub and let those bubbling jets work their magic on your tired muscles.

While you're in the area, the village of New Cross or Llanfihangel Y Creuddyn is within reach and has a local pub/restaurant if you don't fancy cooking one evening, or pick up some essential ingredients for your evening meal at the convenience store.

Further afield is the bustling seaside town of Aberystwyth which is a 10 minute drive away, it is home to a number of attractions that are well-worth visiting as well as variety of shops, restaurants and supermarkets.

The National Library of Wales can be found here and is perfect for you literary lovers to discover over 6.5 million books and holds the largest collection in the whole of Wales.

Look forward to joining the Vale of Rheidol Railway which runs for over 11 miles between Aberystwyth and Devil's Bridge showcasing a wealth of picturesque scenery along the way.

Yr Hen Beudy is a delightful choice for a family break to the heart of Wales.
