The property

Ty Cariad is a semi-detached cottage with a reverse layout, sleeping up to three guests, set in the heart of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

This characterful retreat in the seaside town of Newport offers everything you need for a comfortable stay, including ample parking, exposed beams and stunning sea views.

Enter through the ground floor into a bright kitchen and dining area with tiled flooring and breathtaking coastal vistas.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine, while the dining space features a farmhouse-style table – perfect for shared meals.

Just two steps up from the dining area are the bedrooms.

The first offers a king-size bed, open-beamed ceiling, pine furnishings and plenty of storage, while the second provides a single bed and chest of drawers.

The ground-floor bathroom includes a bath with overhead shower, WC and washbasin.

Upstairs, the spacious sitting room boasts an open-beamed ceiling and panoramic sea views.

Relax with comfortable seating, a colour TV, DVD player, Wi-Fi and occasional furniture – an ideal spot to unwind after a day exploring.

Outside, the front garden offers sweeping views over Newport Bay, complete with garden furniture for enjoying a morning coffee or a spectacular west coast sunset.

Ample parking is available next to the cottage.

Full oil-fired central heating ensures year-round comfort, and a cot, highchair and stairgate can be provided on request.

Up to three well-behaved pets are welcome (additional charge applies), though they should remain in the kitchen/dining area.

Newport is a picturesque coastal town along the River Nevern, with shops, pubs, tea rooms and a scenic golf course overlooking the sea.

The town sits on the renowned Pembrokeshire Coast Path, perfect for coastal walks and wildlife spotting, including dolphins and seals.

Nearby, the Preseli Hills offer dramatic landscapes for walkers, while history enthusiasts can explore local castles, craft centres and Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort.

Families will love attractions such as the Shire Horse Farm, and there are plenty of sandy beaches for lazy summer days.

Newport 2.5 miles.

The village of Dinas Cross has a well stocked grocery shop, two pubs, a fish and chip shop and lies between the Preseli Hills and the Pembrokeshire coast. Cwm-yr-Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod beaches are both short walks away and the three-mile walk around Dinas Head accessed from either beach is one of the finest walks in Wales. Both beaches are ideal for swimming, sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding. Newport three miles away at the estuary of the river Nevern is a bustling old town with vast beaches and lies at the foot of the mystical mountain Carn Ingli. Fishguard, five miles away is an historic old fishing village on the estuary of the river Gwaun and has many amenities including a cinema, leisure centre and a vibrant music scene which has three festivals devoted to folk, classical and jazz music. Further away is the market town of Cardigan to the north and the historic city of St Davids to the south with its magnificent cathedral and many eating places. There are many good cafes and restaurants in Newport and Fishguard and excellent local produce available at the weekly street market in Newport.
