Llangadog is a small village within Carmarthenshire ,Wales. Situated in the heart of the Towy Valley halfway between Llandeilo and Llandovery. The village is on the western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and is surrounded by stunning scenery, rolling hills and countryside. The village is home to a selection of pubs, a renowned butcher, excellent Post Office and a well stocked shop. Surrounding villages include Myddfai, Capel Gwynfe and Bethlehem. Nearby Myddfai is famous for its “ Physicians” and their herbal remedies. Also the Myddfai visitor centre which provides lunches and local produce. Capel Gwynfe is home to a picturesque church dating back to the 1898 and is popular as a starting point for both cyclists and walkers, due to its close proximity to the Black Mountain. Bethlehem, to the south of Llangadog, is situated on a hillside and is home to an Iron Age hill fort, and is famous for its franking of Christmas cards with the Bethlehem postmark. Visits to the nearby medieval Dinefwr and Carreg Cennen Castles add to the charm. The gardens of Aberglasney and The National Botanical garden of Wales are a must. There are a wealth of beautiful sandy beaches and cliff walks, which are all about an hour away, with beaches at Aberavon and Llanelli within reach for a day by the sea..
