“We absolutely loved our stay here!”

We were a little apprehensive after some of the previous reviews but the property exceeded our expectations! The listing doesn't do the surrounding views justice - it's a beautiful location. The large garden was perfect and secure for our dogs and the property was clean and cosy. The owner Michael was very friendly and showed us around when we arrived. The large garden was perfect and secure for our dogs and the property was clean and cosy. The owner Michael was very friendly and showed us around when we arrived. Lots of previous reviews made comment about the bumpy track leading to the property - whilst we were in a 4x4 vehicle, we didn't find the track even half as bad as what people had claimed. It has big potholes but it's in the countryside on farmland, is a 5mph speed limit and we personally found it part of the adventure and charm of our stay! Would highly recommend this property!

The property

Llanharry 1.5 miles.

This delightful single-storey annexe is attached to the owners home, in an isolated position, close to the village of Llanharry and within reach of both Bridgend and Cardiff.

Access to this lovely cottage is via a long track and once you arrive you will find a holiday home that exudes comfort and style.

You enter this cottage via a raised decked patio with ramp access directly into the superb open plan living area.

Here, you can relax whilst watching the TV after a busy day out and about, perhaps with the electric woodburner-effect stove on to provide additional warmth and whilst cooking a hearty meal in the well-equipped kitchen.

The bedrooms consist of a comfortable king-size double bedroom and a twin, which has views of a paddock area, and completing the cottage is a modern shower room.

Why not open the patio doors and enjoy a drink or meal on the patio on a sunny day, whilst the dogs run round the enclosed lawned garden?

Llanharry, just 1.5 miles away has two pubs and a church, whilst the town of Bridgend has a shopping village, and Cardiff is well worth visiting and has something for everyone.

In addition to visiting the nearby towns and cities, you can also enjoy the beaches at Porthcawl and Llantwit Major.

A superb base for exploring this part of South Wales.

About the location

LLANHARRY

Bridgend 9 miles; Cardiff 15 miles.

The village of Llanharry is situated close to the M4 motorway, between the town of Bridgend and the capital city of Cardiff. Llanharry has a church called St. Illtud, which was re-built in 1867-8, and two pubs, The Bear Inn, which was a school in the 19th century and The Fox and Hounds, known to date back to the Tudor times. Very close by are the historic villages of Llantrisant and Talbot Green. Set on a hilltop, Llantrisant offers visitors wonderful cobbled streets to wander and some fascinating buildings and Talbot Green has a variety of shops and restaurants. Just five miles away is the traditional village of Heol-y-Cyw, offering a church, rugby ground, pub and shop, and slightly further north is the town of Tonyrefail, which has selection of shops, pubs and churches. The small town of Bridgend is close by with its wonderful designer outlet village, so shopping sprees are a definite item to add to your days out, and within reach is Cardiff where shopping, theatre visits, rugby and football matches can be enjoyed.
